Had an absolutely amazing stay at Hidden Garden Hostel. We arrived by the sleeper train from Bangkok and were offered the use of showers and pool whilst we waited for our room to be ready. The hostel has the perfect balance between being chilled yet still social. Slept beautifully all 3 nights! The staff are incredibly friendly and go above and beyond to create a great stay for you from free snacks, ice pops and great local recommendations. We booked all our activities via the hostel and pick up and drop offs were arranged. All staff remembered who was doing what activity well and would keep you updated if anything was running behind. My boyfriend cut his finger and Bam immediately came to rescue with her trusted first aid kit and even left supplies out for us when we got back at night, can’t believe how kind and thoughtful these little touches were. Would HIGHLY recommend, looks exactly as pictured as well.

My first time staying at the hostel and I’m super impressed with this place. The room is clean, bed is comfy, bathroom is big and I love the common area which I could chill and work all day throughout my whole week here. The staffs and the hostel owner are super nice, helpful and friendly. This hostel is not a party hostel which is what I prefer. Most people would go to bed after 11pm and there’s no noise at all during the night if your room isn’t on the street side. The location is perfect as well, it’s near the local market which you can just cross the street to find some foods and there’s a night market on Sunday too. I’d come back to this place for my short getaway from Bangkok again ❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍

This is just incredible! Grate location in the middle of the city. The room, bathroom and common area are super clean and comfortable. Delicious breakfast. Great security system. There’s also a pool! Very nice nice and peaceful atmosphere at a very reasonable price! Definitely come back again. And one more thing I have to mention, SUPER NICE AND FRIENDLY STAFFS! I just love everything about this place!!❤️

The staff are so friendly and helpful, the beds are super comfy and you feel really so cozy. The interior and architecture is really cool too ! The showers have hot water and we’re clean. My only thing was the music in the common space was a bit too loud for me…

The rooms were very neat. The staff at the counter are EXTREMELY helpful. They suggest places to go and do all the bookings for you. In terms of price, there are definitely cheaper places, however the vibes and service quality is what you pay for :). If you are looking to meet people, make friends and have hassle free plans, then yes this is the place.

This was my first hostel ever and it couldn’t be any better! the staff is so nice and helps you with everything:) the rooms/showers etc are clean! the place in general is so beautiful and they put a lot of love in it. Loved my stay here

The staff are so kind they help you book any activities that you want and even which massive turnover every day they remember guests names. The atmosphere is great, but by far the best part is the beds, they are so comfortable, the linens are the best I’ve ever had (in any hostel I’ve stayed at!), the beds are also quite large. The only downside is since it’s such a popular hostel rooms aren’t ready until 2 pm, so if you are getting in early from a night bus or train you will have to wait. However they are more than happy to safely hold your bag.

Great Place to stay. The place is new and with great design both interior and exterior. Ms Tang and the team has been very friendly and made us feel welcome. We truly appreciate and grateful for your hospitality. Keep up the good work. Will definitely visit again.

My boyfriend and me booked the Queen Room with balcony for 3 nights. The hostel is beautiful, very well located and amazing decoration. It was always very clean everywhere. They offered a cold water dispenser to refill your bottle and nice free ice cream. The pool was also amazing for a quick refreshing dip during the hot days. The common area has some books and games, which were always fun to play in the evening before going to bed. The lobby has many flyers for amazing tours, through them we booked amazing experiences that we will never forget. I can confidently say that the Hidden Garden Hostel has the BEST staff, who always greeted us so kindly with a smile and were always ready to help. Together in a workshop they taught us how to make Bua Loy, an incredible Thai dessert. We also learned a few words in Thai from them, which have been so helpful! Thank you for making our stay in the most beautiful city of Chiangmai so special! ขอบคุณค่ะ

The hostel is very clean and the beds are super comfortable! The staff is incredibly helpful and nice and you get free coffee, tea, water and bananas in the morning. The rooms are small but all right. So all in all recommended!

The nicest hostel I’ve stayed in! Such a great balance of chill & sociable where you can meet friends sober & with a few drinks. The staff are great, especially Meen who helped me so much on my trip with arranging tours , suggesting day trips & making me feel welcome. Such a great location on the Saturday night walking street! 7/11 opposite too! The beds are comfy & dorms come with curtains , hooks , bed lights & little tables which are bonuses for backpackers!

Very clean and comfortable hostel in a good location if you want to explore all the markets and also see the old town. The building is very open and there’s always a fresh breeze! Staff is nice and helpful and speaks English quite well. Definitely recommend staying here while in Chiang Mai.

I loved this hostel. The rooms were really nice and spacious, we stayed in two different rooms and the ones at the front can be a bit loud with street traffic but not too bad. The best thing about this place is the staff, they are all so nice and friendly, happy to help you plan activities and make suggestions. Special mention to Boss and Bam who always knew where we were off to and asked how it was when we got back. It’s also great as there is a small food market across the road where you can get food and also the walking market on Saturday nights right out the front. If we’re ever back in Chiang Mai we will definitely stay here.

Stayed in a twin room, super nice room, not too noisy. Social hostel, happy to organise stuff for us and did their own tours and stuff which was great to meet people staying at the hostel. Super helpful and friendly staff. Right next to a 7/11, close as to Markets and old town. Affordable too. Just a great hostel all around

Customer service makes this hostel fantastic. They Made a mistake with our Laundry and it messed up our next day plans (we had no clothes) but they refunded the room so we could go get clothes and did our laundry free of charge. The facility is so nice and it’s in a good area.

Amazing staff! One of the best I had in my travel life! Met lots a great people in the lounge. Free bananas and ice cream, coffee and tea and a 7/11 not even 10 seconds away! Garden beautiful! Rooms really quite even tho they are filled to the max! I did not sleep good but that’s up to me. The beds were the best I had in Thailand! Only the little table next to the bed is not foldable so I bumped my arm and head into it a couple of times.

Really good place to stay! I had a private room, only thing is you can still hear everyone/the noise, if you’re a light sleeper pack earplugs! But the bed was comfy & such a nice/clean place.

Great location, friendly staff and clean rooms. The lockers could be a bit bigger and the shared bathrooms might need more frequent attention but overall a really pleasant stay and I was sad when I couldnt extend another two nights. The popsicles and the coffee is a great addition and the tours offered are good too

I really liked this place. Emplacement is great. Staff is so lovely and English friendly with a lot of recommandation. All modern. Note that the pool is really small with only 2 sunbed, it’s more like a feet bath to refresh but it’s cute.

I stayed here 4+ nights and the staff were very polite, spoke English very well and the cleaning staff were constantly cleaning making the place nice and inviting. Would definitely stay again and recommend!

Really awesome hostel. Staff are WONDERFUL, super kind and helpful and really great sorting trips, recommendations and transport for people. The hostel is clean, pretty and really social, the front area is great to chat and meet people. Location is great, right at Chiang Mai South gate with food markets right out the front door that opens at 5pm most days. Really easy to get to most places within 20-30 minutes walking or to get grab taxi. Careful arriving on a Saturday because the night market is right outside the hostel and makes it tricky for cabs to arrive! There's laundry facilities for 50 baht a wash and plenty of drying space on the roof and next to the washing machine (if you don't want to use the dryer). Bathrooms are clean and huge and showers really good, with hot water and good pressure. Private rooms are v comfy with plenty of space and comfortable beds. There's a kitchen area with free tea and coffee and biscuits (what's not to love) as well as a fridge for keeping things cold. There's also a pool for a dip, though it's not big so more just to cool down from the heat than to swim. Loved the hostel, really great and would definitely recommend!

This is my first time to take a rest at hostel, it was great to be here. I love design and decoration that I can take photos everywhere in this place. Especially, it was really clean hostel and all hostel staff are really kind and pay attention for every customers. - locates in town - has a convenience store (7-11) across the street from here - swimming pool - comfortable bed

Hidden Garden Hostel was everything you could hope for. The place was very clean including beds, shower areas, kitchen, and bathrooms. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms stayed very quiet at night and I slept well here. Breakfast was offered in the morning included in price of stay. I also used the laundry which was easy. Coin operated. Proximity to Chiang Mai Gate Market which is convenient to get public transport or find something to eat. All around this is an excellent option for lodging.

Very beautiful and good-looking hostel. Facility is very well-prepared and service is excellent. Toilet and bathroom are clean and Bedroom are nice and very comfortable.

A very pleasant place to live in. For me, It is one of the best hostels in Chiang Mai. The atmosphere inside is quite homely and leisurely. Also, it is well decorated and very very clean. Everything here was more than I expected from a hostel at this price point. And I like the way they named it "hidden garden". It was a small garden that was blended into the building with an awesome interior design.

Such a great hostel. Very clean and updated which was nice. The staff was honestly one of the best parts. They are so friendly and helpful. Provided many recommendations for things to do around Chiang Mai and they also set up tours and activities you can do through them too. Would give it more stars if I could. Highly recommend staying here if you are in Chiang Mai.

Great place! I stayed in a dorm and it was very comfortable and clean (every bed has a privacy curtain, a bed light and a plug). The dorms also have lockers. Showers are clean and great and the common area is very beautiful and great to meet people. Also, the staff are amazing! Highly recommend!

The best hostel I've stayed at in Thailand. The staff are incredibly helpful and are never too busy to provide advice for the local area. The communal area has free tea/coffee/snacks and the hostel is located just outside the old town so very close to everything and with a 7-11 opposite. Would definitely stay there again.

Hidden garden hostel is an amazing place to stay. It's right on the border of the old city so everything is at walking distance. The rooms and beds are really great and the staff is so nice. I would definitely recommend the hidden garden hostel to anyone who wants to stay in Chiang Mai.

The best hostel we have stayed in! The Staff are the highlight of the stay. Tang and her team are all so lovely, they go out of their way to help you. They organise day trips, scooter hire, laundry, recommend nice restaurants and bars and they even arranged our travel package into Laos! We are really happy with the service and couldn’t recommend this hostel enough. The hostel is always clean and the beds are very comfortable. The front area is a nice sociable space which encourages you to meet others with a chilled but nice atmosphere. The garden/pool area at the back has a cool design and is perfect for chilling out. The hostel is in a good location with a 7eleven opposite and food markets just over the road. With being so close to the square, it’s so easy to get to all the tourist attractions. Highly recommend this hostel! It is super clean, beautiful and peaceful. They have a wonderful common area where new friends can come to chat or have a few beers. The staff are also super friendly and helpful. They only thing I wished they had was a lock box in the private room (I don't know if they have this in the dorm rooms). Would stay again for sure!
