This is THE tea place in Chiang Mai, with a fantastic selection of teas (which you can see from the menu photos that I’ve included here). The interior decor is rustic with wood, rattan and suitably befitting a tea house in cultural Chiang Mai. Monsoon Tea sells their own brand of teas and this is their cafe, and within you will find photos of their tea plantations and pickings from further up north in Chiang Rai and other surrounding regions. (I have not included those photos because you really ought to come here and see it for yourself!). Certain things are based experienced in person. The place is airconditioned inside and also has an outside seating area. Their entire tea selection is available for personal order as well as for retailers and restaurants. Good to consider if anyone is interested in retailing their brand of teas. Enjoyable visit with a soothing relaxing atmosphere. There’s light music reminiscent of the kind you find inside a spa. If you’re still reading to this point, have a great day wherever you are.

My first time at this Tea House restaurant. I had never tried tea before in Chiang Mai. We had iced tea and hot Lahu Black Tea. Lahu is an ethnic tribe lives in Northern Thailand and Burma as well.

Absolutely marvelous place! The staff is very welcoming, the food prices are fair and the teas... well, they are a bit more expensive than the norm because this is probably the highest quality tea that you will find anywhere in Chiang Mai and the vicinity. The tea pot was very large and generous, and was offered to try another too. The ambient music blended in so well that you hardly notice it is there, and tea houses not being everyone's cup of tea (no pun intended), it was almost empty, so you get a very private experience, either by yourself or with company. Highly recommended.

Laid back eatery with unique wild tea-inspired dishes. Great tasting, innovative food, in generous portions. Wash it down with a selection of exotic forest-grown highland teas, hot or iced. Parking available! But beware gridlock after 4.00pm on school days...

Fantastic tea shop. High quality tea, charming decor and atmosphere, friendly and professional staff, and overall great vibes. I came here to work remotely and the iced tea pitcher size was perfect for refills and sipping while I work. Tastes delicious, will return if I’m back in town Great tea cafe, 5 stars

Wonderful place to relax and drink tea. Air conditioned and also very cozy. Be careful ordering a large cup, it’s better for multiple people! (see photo)

Nice rustic cafe just across the river with their wide variety of amazing teas. This really is one of the best places to try local teas in Thailand. Food options are very limited as this is basically a tea house. Staff speaks English and is very accommodating and friendly. We brought our dog and got a nice place to sit outdoors. If you’re in northern Thailand you should visit this place and try their teas. My only “complaint” is that the tea should have been served in a nice China tea set instead of glass-plastic one, and there should be cookies and desserts to compliment the tea. Other than that it’s perfect. Note: they accept credit card and Amex.

It's the place where you can drink tea and have awesome food as well! My favorite was fresh tea leaf salad. All the food I tried tasted good, and the portion of food is bigger than Thai standard. Their tea is local, from Chiang Mai or Chiang Rai area, you can ask where the tea is from. The owner told me intersting story about how the tea is grown in the 'forest', not in tea plantation and old tea eating culture in Thailand. You can also buy tea here. The amount of tea you can buy varies from 50g to 1kg. All the people was nice and friendly from staffs to owner.

Nice looking interior. Sitting on couches while having a meal. Air conditioned as well. Even the concept of food being infused with tea is quite weird but they have done it exceptionally well. The Fried Chicken wings, Rice were all present with the taste of the tea leaves, not forgetting about the fragrance of tea leaves perfuming every bite. A whacky idea that is worth a try. Their specialization in tea is really one to consider, although some tea flavors could be a bit too much to handle but the Monsoon Special Tea is really pleasant to drink, great to have after an oily meal.

Great tea shop for buying loose-leaf teas. Very high quality and reasonable prices. They serve food, but I've only bought tea to take home.

3 1/2 stars Quick disclaimer: only reason I didn't give this place a higher rating is because my favorite tea shop in Kuala Lumpur set the bar so high. But nonetheless still like this little tea house. Just arrived in Chiang Mai and accidently happened upon this little tea house. If you're a tea lover, I cannot recommend this place enough. Great tea, great service, calm and relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back before I leave.

Cute cafe that’s right across ping river. They have a huge selection of local teas, and the sizes are generous. I tried the monsoon green blend, which tasted heavily of peach and jasmine. Great place to do some work, will be coming back to try more !

Definitely check out Monsoon Tea if you have limited time in Chiang Mai. It’s without a doubt one of my favorite spaces in the area. A lot of their food incorporates tea leaves and offers some unique twists on local dishes that you won’t find anywhere else. Oh, and they have excellent, jungle-grown tea to match. I like bringing my laptop here to work as well. WiFi is excellent and seats are comfortable. The large floor to ceiling windows and surrounding greenery make for some exceptional ambiance.
