Consistently good Northern Indian/Pakistan food, including favorites like Butter Chicken and Roganjosh. This place has air conditioning as well, which is mandatory in the hot season, and can also do takeout. As far as I can tell it is the best Northern Indian/Pakistani cuisine in Chiang Mai, with friendly owners/staff.

"Arabia - Haleema and Farooq" is a fantastic Pakistani-Indian-Arabic non-veg and veg food restaurant run by an elderly Pakistani-origin gentleman Mr Farrok, along with the women from his family. A fantastic acknowledgement to women's contribution to food industry, and a rare sight of such recognition. His restaurant used to be in Charoen Prathet 1 Alley, near night bazzar for many years, due to CoVid19 economic impact he shifted to a new place and managing the restaurant with family members now. I totally enjoyed the Keema curry (goat meat curry) with naan made to taste and liking, it was really good home made like taste. He can customise the dish for you, if you let him know your taste/palate preference. I enjoyed talking to him sharing stories of my own cross-border friendships and challenges. He also sells South Asian food stuff in Chiang Mai, feel free to connect with him (name card posted). I am surely coming back for more! 👌👍😋😋😋🙂

Go to any other place in that market. Not this if you want nice Arabic food there is a much nicer across the way. The lady serving was nice but the food was so terrible we couldn’t eat. We do t like wasting food but this is by far the worse falafel we have ever eaten. Salty and burnt. The rest of the food was just as low quality. Disappointing. Read the bad reviews in here don’t be fooled by the good ones. Many of them don’t seem honest.

Stumbled upon this place, and with a craving for some Indian style food we headed in. Really tasty, fresh dishes. As the only people in the restaurant it was evident that most - if not all - of what we ate was cooked from scratch. Definitely one to consider if you’re in this neck of the woods

Child abuse observed during our lunch by restaurant owners! A small kid (about 5 yrs old) was hit on the back of her head really hard by the owner (was his granddaughter was his excuse). I could see it clearly and was really in shock. When we confronted them by it they said it is normal and that they always hit her. The owner just laughed at us when we confronted them. After that, the owners started to scream at us while we confronted them on a normal tone.

This restaurant is astoundingly wonderful. Do not mix it up with the lackluster restaurant next door. This one has a green sign facing the road and only two tables outside, the majority of it's seating is actually inside the restaurant. Their prices have stayed nearly the same for over 10 years!!! Their dishes are delicious. If you haven't tried Indian or middle eastern food, please do yourself the kindness of trying it here, where it is the way it is meant to be. The dishes are not imitations, but home cooked meals prepared by a chef who grew up eating these dishes and cooking them for over 20 years. Don't know what to get? My suggestion is butter chicken, garlic naan, mutton curry, paneer pakora and a mango or banana lassi (a drink). Be warned, this will feed at least 3 people and you should walk around the market a bit after!

This restaurant is soulless and the quality of the food is really bad. Worst butter chicken I've ever had. Don't waste your time going here.

Rude staff. Salted lassi ok-ish. Chicken kabsa had spoiled smelly chicken(tasted both by me and my wife). We're from Malaysia, never ate that bad quality

I was really looking forward to eating here today on my birthday. But sadly was very disappointed. I ordered a lot to have lots of leftovers for dinner. But they didn't have about 30% of what I wanted on their menu. We were the only customers and they said things like 'You are taking too long to order' and 'The chef doesn't want you to order more food" . Some of the food was good, but some was only so so. My girlfriend is Thai and they made rude comments in front of me in Thai (they are Pakistani) and when I went to the restroom the owner said he can give a discount but not if a Western foreigner is there because they are rich. I was really surprised at their attitude.

I was greeted by a very nice elderly lady. Then an unfriendly young female server showed up and talked down to me with very condescending tone of voice when I asked question regarding the menu. I left without ordering.
