“Phra Chutadhuj Rajasthan” is the only island palace in Thailand. Built during the reign of King Rama V, construction of various residence buildings began in 1889 and was used as the royal residence of King Chulalongkorn and the royal family. Until a dispute occurred between Thailand and France (Incident R.S. 112) in which troops invaded Koh Sichang and closed the Gulf of Thailand. The construction of the royal palace and various palaces therefore ceased, and later in the year 1892, various buildings were ordered to be demolished. Go build somewhere else. Since then, the palace at Koh Sichang has been dissolved. Currently on display as a museum, archaeological site and historical tourist attraction, Phra Chudadhuj Rajthan is located at Ko Sichang, Chonburi Province. It used to be the summer palace of King Chulalongkorn. After the critical incident of R.S. 112, it ceased to be a royal area.

It was originally the summer palace on Koh Sichang of King Rama V, built in 1889. It has several royal residences and European-style architectural residences. After a dispute between Thailand and France, R.S. 112 invaded Koh Sichang and closed the Gulf of Thailand in 1892, therefore His Majesty had some buildings demolished and moved to another location and canceled this palace. Nearly 100 years have passed since the Fine Arts Department and Chulalongkorn University came to repair and improve the buildings and landscape surrounding the palace and established it as a museum as a historical tourist attraction. It is considered a very beautiful tourist attraction. Anyone who goes to Koh Sichang should not miss it. It takes more than 1 hour because the area is very spacious.

Definitely a place to visit on the lovely Si Chang island of the coast of Sri Racha Thailand. The place shows the only Thai palace ever built on an island with a rich history including the occupation by French troops once upon a time. Large grounds with lovely renovated houses from the time of Thai kings with well explained boards in English. The entrance is free. Must to see

Small beach, calm, beautiful morning view, suitable for watching the sunrise. It's a pity that the row of chairs has trash cans that are too conspicuous in color. The colors should be a bit mixed, but the water is very clear and the wind blows cool. Suitable for sitting and relaxing. The green wooden house is beautiful.

A historic place you have to visit if you are on the island. Nice view (except the boats off shore).

Very very interesing old royal site. All is nicely kept, and a ery interesting part of thai history. Defiantly a must see, when visiting this small gem in the bay of Siam.
