Ambiance was very nice with two levels of fantastic views overlooking the ocean. Would recommend going earlier in the evening to catch the sunset. The service was also among I've experienced in Thailand. The prices reflected the quality of the experience and the extra treats from chef were a nice surprise.

We came a bit earlier to enjoy the beautiful sunset and had several courses paired with wine along a beautiful night out. To make it short - The food was delicious, presented very well and each of the courses are a piece of art itself. LOCATION … The restaurant is located at the beach in a steel structure building with huge glass windows towards the sea. The dining area is following the facade in an L-shape. All the tables have a nice sea and beach view which is a bit rare. The sound of the crashing waves has a very soothing effect as well. EXPERIENCE … I don't think they have a Michelin rating so far but I am sure it's just a matter of time. The courses are unique, delicious and the service was really attentive. When you are looking for a high end dining experience in Phuket - don't look further. You definitely get what you pay for. When you are lucky then you will meet the chef as well. We are giving a full recommendation and we are a very spoiled family! Please check the photo's to get a glimpse of the "taste" ;)

"Schweizer Star Im Ausland (Swiss Star Abroad): Yannick Hollenstein runs one of the best restaurants on the holiday island and impresses with "L'Arôme by the Sea", right by the sea, especially with excellent seafood. The passionate chef and fisherman has "come to Phuket" to stay. GaultMillau distinguishes him as a "Swiss star abroad", and two of his former bosses are also happy about this: August Minikus and Andreas Caminada." L'Arôme By The Sea Award Winning French Fine Dining Restaurant with Magnificent Sea View Located in Kalim Bay, L'ARÔME BY THE SEA boasts a sophisticated design across its two unique spaces: the restaurant area that showcases the finesse and artistry of modern French cuisine with a touch of Swiss Alps influence, and a sunset deck ideal for relaxed sun set drinks, as well as for aperitifs or digestifs. The dining room, both stylish and serene, draws inspiration from its seaside location. A blend of light and dark blue hues, paired with plush velvet furniture, provides a calming ambiance, allowing the culinary ary delights to be the main attraction. The L'ARÔME BY THE SEA experience is further elevated with seafront dining, accompanied by unobtrusive personalized service from the energetic and enthusiastic team. In July 2022, L'ARÔME BY THE SEA was highlighted in the MICHELIN Guide Thailand. The following month, it was recognized as Thailand's Favorite Restaurant. L'ARÔME BY THE SEA has earned the second spot in the TOP 25 Restaurants Awards Phuket 2022 and 2023. In September 2023, L'ARÔME BY THE SEA's Executive Chef Yannick HOLLENSTEIN has been awarded the title of "Schweizer Star Im Ausland (Swiss Star Abroad)" by the esteemed Gault&Millau restaurant guide Swiss edition 2024. Highly highly recommend this place if it's in your budget. 11/10, would love to come back for another amazing experience. Very kind and attentive staff and amazing food with delicious flavors that celebrate Thai ingredients with a french cuisine style. We have been to several Michelin star restaurants and this place is just as good if not better than some of the places we've been to.

Stunning venue especially for pre-dinner sunset drinks on the rooftop. Dinner is a degustation menu that was easily tailored to dietary needs. It was a lot of food though be warned, come hungry. There is a good wine and cocktail list. Atmosphere was lovely and we had a great view. Service was professional, each dish was described, though sometimes difficult to understand what was said. Only feedback, staff could try to speak slowly and more clearly. The cheese cart is a lovely addition and it was fun to try some locally made cheeses.

Star cuisine at its best. Thank you for the unforgettable evening. We had the 7 course Prestige Menu, but were surprised with at least 9 courses. In addition, the homemade bread variations. Every single course surprised with appearance and taste, down to the smallest detail. It was the best dinner we ever had, and can compete with any star restaurant. If you want to try Michelin-starred cuisine, but don't want to pay as much as in big cities or in Europe, you should definitely go to l'arome by the sea. Thank you very much

It was one of the best French meals i have had. Worth giving a Michelin star. Each course was well explained and the surprise element did wonders on my palate. Meeting the chef was a Delight and the wine pairing was brilliant. My palate was dancing to different tunes with every course. Well worth the experience !

I invited my husband and children (young adults) to this restaurant and we had a wonderful evening The food is really special and this restaurant definitely deserves a one* star Michelin. It is very original, the wine pairing is amazing and the staff was great especially a french guy who told us stories about the products, the family story of the restaurant and alcohols we were served. It is pricey for sure but my family told me it was a memorable fine cuisine experience. So I definitely recommend the place

We started the evening at the roof top bar area watching the beautiful sunset while enjoying my glass of vodka martini. Then at our consent we moved downstairs to the main dining room for our dinner. Tried the Prestige Menu together with 4-wine pairing, plus half a dozen of No. 2 Gillardeaux oyesters. All plates are beautifully arranged and served and fully explained. Wine pairing was also good, and I ordered an extra glass of sweet wine in the end since it was exceptionally good!

A hidden gem. An unplanned dinner on 26 June 2023 was readily accommodated. Service, table setting and food was impeccable. Enjoyed the Summer 2023 menu with a friend! Was the highlight of our visit to Phuket! Worth the expense if you enjoy a complete foodie experience!

Hello everyone! 2 weeks ago we celebrated birthday at L'arome by the sea, Phuket. It was, by far, one of the Best dinner experiences. I strongly recommend this Amazing restaurant. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing with a very special sea view! The staff very kind, friendly and ready to assist! Very high level of assistance and food! We order 4 courses from A la carte menu and we were invited by the Chef for 4 more. Every dish was fabulous, tasty, appetising and in respectable amount ( not only a small piece as generaly in other Michelin restaurant). We've also been spoiled with a birthday cake. The prices was reasonable for Michelin restaurant and more than this, money for value! Everything was just Perfect! Without playing unnecessarily games.... Thank you to the Chef and the staff for your kindness and unforgettable experience ! Gabriela

Wonderful place for dinner. Absolutely stunning vegetarian set with intense flavors of smocked dressings was not inferior to the Prestige autumn menu in any way. Melon sorbet and brezel were over our expectations! We were quite hungry, and I could barely imagine how this great set would go with supplement meals, cos these were more than satisfying for us.

We were visiting L'Arome on 8.02.2023 celebrating our Anniversary. Overall experience was nice besides stuff pushing towards extra upgrades and few "mistakes" with a final bill. For some reason they forgot to reduce prepayment which was ~30% (4000Baht) of the total amount, which is hard to explain considering there is no option to reserve a table without prepayment. Another low point was that we were requested to pay for Lobster choice that wasn't explained as extra payment and wasn't part of the menu as well, which is about ~20% (2000+Baht) of the bill. Once pointed out, both prepayment mistake and extra upgrade were removed from the bill. Hard to explain coincidence of several "mistakes" summing up to 30% of the bill in Micheline guide restaurant with dinner priced at average monthly salary in Thailand. The food was good, served and designed with taste. Cocktails were great! Overall experience was ruined by final accord!

Had a lovely evening birthday dinner with my friend here, the service was exceptional. They made sure we were well taken care of and gave detailed explanations to each dish. Ended the evening with a mini bday celebration by the crew. Great view, exceptional service and good food.

I had a fantastic 7 course menu paired with wine. We chose to dine watching the sunset which I would highly recommend. Watching the sun drop below the horizon made the meal more of an experience. All tables have some aspect over the sea and the sunset. The food was incredibly presented and provided a wide range of local ingredients. On the whole the courses were all delicious and very creative. My one criticism is that at points it felt some of the dishes were served slightly cooler than I would have expected. Often I find that wine pairings don't work as well as they should, but these all complimented the food very well. Given the price of wine in Phuket they were also great value. The service was truly top notch, with very attentive staff. Exactly what you would expect from a tasting menu at this (comparable to Thailand) price point. All in all if you are looking for a high end dining experience in Phuket then this is a great option.

Perfect, in every possible facet. I have no words. A mate and I were looking for a fine dining restaurant in Phuket & only realised it was a Michelin Star after paying. But from the first of our tasting menu we knew there was something oddly spectacular, as it’s surpassed any other fine dining we’ve had. We had matching non-alcoholic drinks with each course and they were on par with the brilliance of the meals.

If you’re up for treating yourself, this is the place. We chose the 7-course menu, which took about 2h to enjoy. We liked most the pre-appetisers small bites, truly an amuse-bouche. It’s fair to say we were very full at the end of the dinner. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly. The food was tasty albeit on the expensive side for Thailand. Worth a visit if you’re up for spending 150$+/person.

My friend and I like to have an extra special dining event when on holiday. This did not disappoint. Only the weather did. Look forward to another dinner at another restaurant within your group.

We loved it. Nicest meal we’ve experienced after traveling to 11 countries over 7 years. The “Chef’s Catch” is literal. The head chef has a boat and goes fishing in the morning. Expect a 2-hour meal experience. Every minute was exciting.

Let it be a remarkable experience for you of the best cuisine, the hospitality, and the calming atmosphere overlooking the Patong bay, led by a young legendary chef that will take you on a culinary adventure of tastes and visuals. It will cost around 3,500 baht per person but I won’t call it expensive. it’s worth every single baht and the chef goes above and beyond to make sure it is! Tip #1: the beef tartar is a must. We ordered one and then ordered another one. Tip #2: come with plenty of time. Take it slow and fancy. Celebrate every dish and flavor. You are special.
