The second bus terminal in Korat, which can be described as one of the core areas of the Issan region. It is no exaggeration to say that all routes to Bangkok, southern Thailand, northern Thailand and the north-east converge here.

Large bus station with plenty of buses. Many hawker stalls both ac and non-ac. There are a couple of cafes too. Not that many food options for vegetarians. One can get a donut and chips but nothing substantial for lunch or dinner. Many convenience stores selling snacks, chocolate bars and the like. Good, clean toilets 2baht per entry. Very few signs in English. Almost everything in thai language

it's too cold inside the buses, everyone is wearing jackets and blankets, it's useless and annoying to keep the air conditioning on full blast and then you have to cover up because it's too cold

Shabby, muddy and overwhelmed by touk-touk drivers. Not the best first impression of a country. Didn’t see a money exchange anywhere. Cost me 500 BHT to downtown hotel.

A messy, confusing terminal hub with multiple bus companies. For a foreigner, it will be almost impossible know where to go since everything is in Thai. However, the bus ticket is very affordable. From this terminal to Bangkok Mochit Station which is about 248km, it cost only 200Baht, non stop trip with a bottle of water and a burger served.

Don't eat that chicken burger for 28 Baht. The paddie is less than a third of the bun and flat as a paper. Well, and the toilets are small as well, built for tiny people.
