Noce place to chill during the evening, you can get for a short trip by boat here as well. Its 150 or 200 baht per person to see fireflies or the morning green tunnel. The ride was worth the money.

Beware of BED BUGS on the Koh Phangan night ferry (the blue boat). We spotted two adult bed bugs within a minute of boarding (one crawling on a pillow, the other on a bed frame) and left for a hotel immediately. After disembarking, we found and killed a couple of younger bed bugs that had found their way onto our bags within less than 2 minutes of those bags being on the floor, so I'm confident in saying it's a major infestation. We didn't notify the crew because it was late and we just wanted to get out of there, so I don't want to make any claims about them. In fact, they were very nice and communicative during the ticket buying and boarding process. But yeah, you should avoid this ferry at all costs.

Koh tao ferry is at 10:00pm .. (maybe 10:30 pm…. ) Koh Phag Nan night ferry is 11:00pm.. wish I knew this before arriving so posting for others. I paid 400 baht for 11pm ferry… majority of pple on boat were locals. You get a mat to sleep on and it was pretty hot the whole time..

Situated right alongside the night market, where you can sit people watch eat all kinds of delicious cheep clean street food, Thailand hands down has the best street food in the world. Catch night boats across to the islands, the best way to travel, Koh Tao, Phangan,Samui all reachable via a calm romantic little cruise across the ocean. You get your own little cott with power point for charging your phone, there's about 3 different companies which take turns to ferry torists across to the islands. The night boat avoids a long hot journey in the daytime via Samui. It's the only way to go. Cheep too only B600. if you do go to Koh Tao there's a gem place to stay one of those little secrets you want to keep to yourself, "Thecottonhomestay". An amazing concept and sleeping experience. The owner is a legend in the diving community, what he's created with his Son is simply unbelievable. Check it out on TripAdvisor.

This company is not reliable. Ferry was in a horrible condition. There are lots of mosquitoes. And we have a joint ticket from ko phangan to Phuket ferry and bus but on reaching to surat thani they demanded more money to drop us at Phuket. We don't have any option so we have to gave the money but they cheated us.

Great hawker center where people meet to dine and have drinks by the Riverside. Inexpensive food, good atmosphere. Local music included.

Another choice to try. There are 2-3 ferry companies. Some has air-con room.
