Modern and new apartments at European standard. You have everything that you need to stay especially with a family (cooking utensils and washing machine). They even put carbon monoxide detectors into the units which is not mandatory in Thailand (get travel ones if you travel frequently!!). On site there are several pools, a gym, a spa and restaurants. There’s also a playroom wich unfortunately didn’t have any toys/play structures (would have been super practical!) and a children’s pool. It is off the mainroad but there’s a shuttle to take you around the nearby area and the driver Baow is a gem! He knows most local places and does his best to give advice. Great service! We stayed three weeks in total. What prevented me from extending further was how poorly issue was handled by the managers son while she was out of the country. Luckily, Maria, the manager could resolve the situation. Altogether, I’d recommend staying at Malee apartments and can say that we had a good time there and met really nice people.

By far the best place to stay in Koh Lanta for families and couples. There are two pools, spa, restaurant and coffee place here. All tours and transport can be organized from the reception, making the stay hassle-free. Also suitable for digital nomads, it's less than 10min ride from Kohub. Scooters can be rented on site.

2 stars for the view and the rooms Positive: - beautiful view - Clean and nicely furnished apartment Negatives: - everything is very impersonal - run-down, non-functioning water slide system (pictures are not current) - understaffed staff (long waiting times), poor breakfast - Everything costs extra: using the washing machine in your own room, using towels in the room, using bed linen on the beds. You have to buy toilet paper. Apparently we paid the €200/night just for the privilege of being there and enjoying the view. At the end there was a hefty bill on top

1 star for the apartment and 1 star for the great view. We felt very comfortable in the apartment (F4). Communication was also very friendly at the beginning. However, when we were there you were just another customer paying. We were not introduced and it was very impersonal. It's a large block of flats. When our final bill came, we couldn't believe our eyes. Everything was charged extra at checkout. Every single towel and bed linen that is used is counted and charged at the end, the use of the washing machine is charged. We were even overcharged for one bed 😀Electricity and water are extra anyway and the final cleaning was also not included in the very expensive rental price. The fact that they didn't charge extra for the two toilet paper rolls was all. We were aware that electricity and water were charged separately, but the other additional costs were not clearly disclosed. We have been traveling for 3 years and nothing like this has ever happened to us. It's better to go to locals and get to know the people and the country. Food in the restaurant was average, value for money was not appropriate. Breakfast was very unsatisfactory. You have breakfast next to the padel field, which makes it very loud and the staff very unfriendly and understaffed. Everything is served on plastic plates and in plastic cups, we wasted half a day of our vacation waiting for breakfast. The children's pool water system looked very run down and didn't work. It should turn on and off every 30 minutes. We were there for a while and it didn't even turn on. We didn't even use them. Service: The wind had blown a pair of trousers off the balcony, we asked them to get them back because we didn't have a ladder. We were informed that a member of staff would be available to assist us throughout the day. It's annoying that you have to wait a day for this. But of course no one ever came to help us. Service is something else. In the master bedroom the bed had either mites or bedbugs. We were completely pissed off. There was no apology for it. Conclusion: money printing machine that is being run down. Poor maintenance and unfriendly staff make you feel unwelcome. It's a shame given this price (190 euros / day) in the high season. We won't be coming back.

We were here on New Year’s Eve and had a 3 course dinner. Beautiful view of Koh Lanta from their roof terrace where we could see all of the fireworks over the island. Great service and good food. They also have the option to spend the day in their activity area with a small water park, paddle court etc. You pay 1000 baht that you get back in form of a food/drink voucher to spend in their restaurant, so it’s basically free to spend the day at their facilities(since you’re gonna eat/drink anyway). Go and have a look!

This review is about services available to all audiences, not about services for residents: Nice place for eating, having some drinks, or just plain enjoying time either in restaurant or nearby pool bar. The new wing w padel and beach volley makes this a perfect sports complex to those who are into those sports.

For lunch, dinner or sunset drinks this is a great place to spend a few hours. The restaurant is located at the top end of the property. They have a great selection of Thai and western dishes. Staff are very friendly. All the residents I spoke to raved about the place. It’s an amazing place to stay for a koh lanta holiday.

Great place for longer stays. Modern facilities with fun water slides for the kids and a relaxing pool. Views are amazing.

Nice accommodation on the mountain. Unfortunately our apartment didn't have a nice view because there were too many trees in front of it. Malee highlands is an amazing, beautiful place to stay, everyone is so nice and very accommodating. It’s in a more quiet part of Thailand (ko lanta) perfect for a family holiday or a few weeks chilling in the sun, Ko lanta has a more friendly feel than other parts or Thailand as it’s a community and everyone we met there couldn’t have been nicer to us

Bar and restaurant with a fine selection. Very friendly and helpful staff with functional level of English. We've enjoyed our short stay and are planning to return.

We had a wonderful stay in Malee Highlands. The staff is very nice, the facilities are great and the apartments are in excellent conditions. Bonus: the massage therapists are amazing!

We got a great deal for our 2-week stay at Malee Highlands earlier this year in Spring time. Nice family who owns the whole complex, very homy feeling in the apartments thanks to IKEA, amazing pool sunset view, loved the gym, everything you need and just a few min by scooter to the beach. ...only "negative" would be the restaurant, where neither coffee nor food where good but the place and view of the restaurant has a lot of potential, so I am sure they can make something out of it!

Great sunsets, very good staff, the facility is clean and well maintained. As a guest you feel really comfortable. Absolutely recommended!
