I'll tell you this. The owner made us feel welcomed, safe and gave us with his instructors a great diving tour. From the moment we got to meet him we knew he is a serious and experienced man. We had no doubt that there would be any problems and yes we were so happy that he took us with him showed us this amazing area. So many fish, so diverse and wow what a view. The Base has also a bar where you can have a cold beer after the dive. Due to the pandemic it was hard to assemble enough people to get a boat but Ady made it possible. Thanks a lot to Jessy our instructor and Ady the captain of this great experience. We'll come back 🙌

As new divers, my wife and I had an excellent experience with Flip Flop divers! Our guide, Jonas, was super friendly and extremely clear with his briefings and directions while on the boat/in the water. The entire crew is really nice and they made our experience easy and seamless. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks on the boat were great (vegetarian friendly too!). The diving itself was fantastic (we dive at Koh Bida sites). We’ll certainly be back one day to dive Koh Haa with Flip Flop Divers!

Special thanks to our incredible instructor Riccardo for the past 5 days of diving for our Open water and Advanced Open Water courses. We couldn’t imagine a better first diving experience. The Dive shop: We planned very early for this trip to learn the two certifications and Ady, the owner for the dive shop, has been very patient in answering any questions we have, from selecting gears to sorting out our online theory courses. Flip Flop Divers is accommodating, we only had 6 days on the island (5 days of diving + 1 no fly day); Ady and Dom organise everything to suit our schedule to make it work!!! Really appreciate your help. Additionally, Flip Flop Divers keeps to a 2:1 student-to-instructor ratio, which I think helped a lot in our learning! Big Plus! The dives: Everyday, we got picked up and dropped off at our hotel. After gathering at the dive shop, all the divers then head to the Sala Dan pier to board the dive boat. Although the dive boat is shared across a number of dive shops, every instructor or boat crew on board are very friendly and professional. They also provide buffet breakfast, snacks & drinks between dives and lunch. Sometimes, there will be a photographer on board, who will take underwater photos for you, which you can purchase. The two dive sites we went to are Koh Bida and Koh Haa. Both are stunning with colourful coral reef and all kinds of fish. We also saw sharks, sea turtles, clown fish (Nemo) and massive groupers! The instructor: We have Riccardo as our diving instructor for both our PADI Open Water and Advanced Open Water courses. At the start of each day, Riccardo very patiently explained the activities to us and gave us tips and tricks for each diving skill. In the water, Riccardo will show us how to perform the skill and you just need to repeat after him. He’s very encouraging, every mistake you made he would elaborate on and he’s willing to show you over and over again how to do it properly. Riccardo is also very attentive, both in the water and out of the water, he checks on you frequently and sorts out any problems you have throughout the course. Riccardo is an excellent instructor with tons of experience and a wealth of knowledge about fish, which make the learning process relax, fun and enjoyable. And I can say the same for other instructors in Flip Flop Divers. If you’re looking for Dive shop in Koh Lanta, no need to look further. This is the best! We couldn’t recommend Flip Flop Divers and Riccardo enough!! Wish you all the best for everyone in the dive shop and we hope to see you again soon!! Howard and Cathy

We had great time with Ady the owner of Flip Flop. Safety and laid-back experience, no rush underwater, just enjoyable! Also high quality of small group, normally two diver with one divemaster! It was a shame that we couldn’t see black-tip reef shark due to the horrible weather in low season. But we’ll come back Flip Flop in peak season definitely!

We had an amazing experience doing our PADI Open Water Diver Certificate with Riccardo and Flip Flop divers. It was our first diving experience and Riccardo was really patient and made us feel confortable. He also spoke a perfect French, which was really helpful

Whow what a find this dive center!!! They took us diving with a large boat, you get breakfast, diner, drinks and the crew is amazing, very attentative! The divessites we visited were incredible, so full of life… They dive with just 1 guide per 2 divers (parrrtttyyyyyyy)so that makes it so relaxing!!! We had Dom as a guide and yeah what can we say, he is such a nice guy and an amazing diver with 47 years of experience🥳🥳🥳🩵 But all the people who are involved whit FlipFlop are pretty good! We watched them take care of less experienced and beginner divers and they were all very professional. They even take very good care of your own gear if you have it, otherwise they have very good equipement at their immaculate shop. And… Such a pity we couldn’t do more dives….next time 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 Thanks Adriaan, Nong, Dom and all the other “FlipFloppers”, we loved rock’n the blue with you🫶🫶🫶

We couldn’t have had a better first experience diving! My wife and I did our Open Water Certifications with Flip Flop. Ady is an incredible instructor - he was patient, explained things thoroughly as well as the context and science behind them, and made it a safe space to ask questions. We really loved that Flip Flop does a 2:1 student to instructor ratio - compared to other dive shops where it’s 4:1. We weren’t left to read the guidebook alone, rather Ady went through it with us ensuring we understood the context and importance of each item. The other instructors are also great and have a wealth of experience! It was such a fun and supportive atmosphere we decided to do some extra fun dives once we completed the course! If you’re learning to dive in Lanta - this is the dive shop!

I finally got my open water dive certificate with flip flop divers. The entire experience was amazing. The guys are on point, schedule stuff well, and are super friendly. The dive boat was well equipped, the gear was great, and the people I went diving with were very friendly and chill. Lien is an amazing instructor. She’s patient, knowledgeable, and made me feel comfortable with my first dive. She even helped me prep the theory and explained the basics really well. Special shout out to Dom too for organizing everything and explaining the deets! The overall experience was fun, safe, and comfortable!

Just did a couples of fun dives with Flip Flop Divers.Fantastic dive shop. Very friendly and competent personnel, from the owners all the way down to the boat crew. Boat is large and comfortable, new equipment, freshwater showers on board to rinse off after your dive, delicious fresh breakfast and lunch and much more. Dive guides gave thorough pre dive brief before each dive, including what we expected to see and hand signals. Highly recommended if diving on Koh Lanta!

I dived with Flip Flop Divers a couple of weeks ago and had the best experience. I was a little nervous as my previous two occasions diving I had been seasick but they were very reassuring and calm about everything which put me into the right headspace and I was absolutely fine on the day. They showed great care and attention and the atmosphere was warm and positive, I couldn’t have had a better experience. Highly recommend anyone dives with these guys and will definitely dive with them again if I find myself in Koh Lanta.

Did my Advanced Open Water here with the wonderful (and very experienced) Dom as my instructor. Can definitely say I feel like I’ve improved massively over just a couple of days. The dives were super relaxed and fun, breakfast and lunch on the boat were lovely and the dive sites were awesome (my first shipwreck + cave at Koh Haa 1). 10/10 would recommend!

A lot has happened since returning home from Thailand in September but I finally found time to write this review for Flip Flop Divers. 🤿 This year was our fourth time with Ady/Flip Flop Divers. A few years ago we stumbled into his shop not really knowing what we were looking for. We found one of the nicest, most welcoming, especially kind and patient persons we have met - Ady has taught us so much that we came back the following year to do our OpenWater with him! Ever since Koh Lanta as well as Ady’s shop has become an integral part of our trips to Thailand. So it goes without saying that I would give Ady a ten star rating if it was possible! ⭐️ Glad we got two days of diving this year, with our lovely instructor Adam - special thanks to him, he was calmness in person and gave us a quick refresher on the boat - he made us feel so safe during the dives even with the really bad weather on day two. 🌊 Hope the small kitten isn’t as small anymore, really looking forward to meeting her again… and we’re really hoping to see you soon as well! 😊 Franzi and Peter from Germany.

Amazing dive center! My boyfriend and myself did our Padi Open Water Course with Flip Flop Divers and had the best time!! The whole crew, and not the least our instructor Ricardo was extremely dedicated and professional, and made us feel incredibly safe and comfortable. Further, everyone at the Flip Flop Divers was extremely welcoming, nice and helpful! Fantastic dive center - the staff is very welcoming, and you quickly feel like family in their company! My girlfriend and I did our Open Water course with Flip Flop, and we had the most amazing experience. Our wonderful and patient instructor, Riccardo, took us through the course, and we felt safe and in good hands from start to end. During the course, we visited Koh Haa by boat (with foods and drinks provided) and had the most beautiful views above and below water. We'll definitely visit again and can only recommend it 🐠

Completed 13 dives in total with Ady and his team at Flip Flop. Started my advanced open water too whilst there in December. Approachable and caring staff from the moment you walk into the shop. Friendly atmosphere with a great sitting space for before and after your dives or even just pop in to say hi. Nice bar for drinks too. Instructors are all amazing at what they do. I got to dive with Ady, Jess and Mike and all three are superstars. Although I didn't dive with Andy (maybe next time) I saw him with customers and he had the same approach and knowledge as the rest of the team but his knowledge of sea life (during his briefing to other customers) blew me away. I learnt so much from him. You will feel like a family member or old friend from the moment you walk in the door. Safety is priority for this dive shop and each staff member takes the time to get to know their students / fun diver to ensure that you get the best out of the course/dive. I highly recommend Flip Flop Divers to anyone looking to try diving for the first time or if you are looking to complete any of the many Padi courses or just wanting to go for a good dive while on Lanta. We have recently returned from a 6 week vacation travelling and scuba diving on the islands of Thailand. For us, Flip Flop Divers in Koh Lanta were the very best scuba diving experience in our 16 years of diving! Ady, Dom, Miguel, Iris and the entire dive crew made us feel very welcome and we really enjoyed diving with them The difference with Flip Flop Divers is their USP - their unique selling point is they provide an ‘End to End Service’ by picking you up from your hotel, a fantastic breakfast and lunch on a huge dive boat, set up your dive gear on the boat, give informative pre-dive briefings and only dive in small group numbers and then they drop you back to your hotel afterwards…with all our wet dive kit, it was totally unexpected and really appreciated - it’s just what they do as they definitely go the extra mile and value their customers In the evening, we went back and shared a few beers with Ady, Dom and Iris and it was great to get to know them more. We will be back and highly recommend Flip Flop Divers. Thank you all very much!!

Great diving center ! 🦈 The organisation was perfect with them, whether it was the communication with Ady, the transfers from our hotel, the meals on the boat, the explanations before the dives, etc. We have nothing to say except thank you. The dive sites are sensational (black tip sharks, cuttlefish, barracuda, giant moray, ...), the divemasters are professional. Dominique was very educational during the refresh and open water training. It was very useful to have an instructor who speaks French and who is also friendly. We recommend flip flop divers 🤿 You can dive with them with confidence ! 🐠🐡

Fantastic diving school! 👌🏻 I did my OWD with them and I could not imagine a better diving teacher than Ady (owner). With education, training and his calm & experienced personality I overcame all my inital doubts. Ady and his team are very professional and care about you (small groups and room for individual needs) and they take you to the most beautiful diving sites around Koh Lanta. Thanks to Ady and his great team I found my passion in scuba diving 🤿. Highly recommend them - we‘ll come back next time!

Adi and the team are the best on the island, whether you’re doing a course or just diving for fun the team are the best. You can chose your day and dive site and they tend to either be on a big boat (slower more relaxing) or speed boat (just ask which days, on the big boat you can elect to do 3 dives rather than 2 too). There are some epic dive sites around Lanta and having been there a few times I’ve now seen whale sharks, black tips, cuttle fish and plenty of other marine life.

Oh my giddy aunties, these guys are just amazing! 2 days diving with Flip Flop, I have had the best time. I was very nervous and honestly quite scared following a not so pleasant diving experience in Australia 5 years back. I explained my fears to the team, they listened, they let me go at my own speed and have restored my confidence in getting back under water. They operate on 2 to 3 divers per dive instructor which was most welcome. Jonas and Jesse you are both wonderful dive instructors, thank you so much for the 4 incredible dives and I can’t thank you both enough 🤩. 5 star rating well deserved.

Great diving center. Probably the best we have ever been too. Everything has been organized for us. From pick up, gear, food, diving, drop off. Our diving instructor Andy was very knowledgeable and a great guide to explore the surrounding dive sites. 💪

I went diving with my family and Ady organised the perfect day. I hadn't dived in 10 years but Ady made sure I was perfectly comfortable and did a thorough refresher before we went on our first, relaxed dive. We also brought our children aged 9 and 7 who were well looked after by the lovely "O" (sorry if spelling wrong) another dive instructor who took them snorkeling while we dived. The children also had a go at scuba diving ("bubble maker") which they loved. The dive boat was immaculate and the food really lovely too. Thoroughly recommend.

Can't recommend more this place. First because of their attention. All nice explained and very clear since the beginning. Second, because they were happy to help to change my diving computer battery which, of course, they charged but in other situations it would have taken days whilst there it was a minute thing. And third because Jeff, the instructor, is amazing. Calm, chill but fun! I really hope everything goes well for you guys! Thank you so much Ady, Andy and of course Jeff!

We cannot recommend Ady, Jessi, Andy, and the entire Flip Flop crew and operation enough. I'm not sure why you would go anywhere else for diving and/or courses when on Koh Lanta. They are absolutely and completely service-oriented, genuine, and authentic, not to mention excellent at what they do. They clearly care more about the experience of their customers than about just the money. The dives we went on with them were well-organized, well-planned and orchestrated, and were customized for the individual diver. Over and over again throughout our week-long connection with them, they were extremely flexible and never put any pressure on any of us to do anything we weren't comfortable with. I can't think of a single negative thing to say about them or about our experience. Highly recommend!

I did my Open Water Diving Course at Flip Flop Divers, and I cannot stress enough how kind, welcoming and professional the entire crew is. They are amazing! It was my first experience with diving, and I am confident that the team in Koh Lanta is one of the absolute best of its kind. Ady, the owner, Andy and Jessica are all so experienced that they immediately make me feel at ease. They are genuinely passionate and make every course tailored to your needs. They also offer an excellent ratio as I had Andy, my dive master following just me, which makes the experience even more unique. it's amazing to have such an experienced dive master just for you (I saw other schools with big groups for each dive master).They then go above my expectations, filling the course with so much info and tips about diving and the beautiful area they are in. They added a lot of magic to my Thai days. Thank you, guys! You rock, and you will always be in my heart. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Great experience, Eddy talked me through the best dives spots and clear with prices etc and on the boat ride Andy talked thoroughly through all the possibilities of life we'd see with pictures and stories which made the dives so much more fun. Very passionate team, great experience.
