We had a wonderful day of jewellery making with Anke and her wonderful daughter Asa. It was fascinating to learn about Anke’s journey from backpacking to building her own home in the middle of the Koh Lanta jungle. Her energy for life is infectious. Lunch was fantastic and everyone had lots of fun. Great family experience. Highly recommended.

Really fantastic place built from nature. Jealous of the lovely owners creative but simple lifestyle! Only stopped in for drinks and a snack and quick walk around the grounds. Power balls delicious, coffee very good!

Pure nature and organic chill-out in the middle of jungle. But what’s more it is a local community helping project which makes you stop and think about the nature-friendly way of life. Bio drinks and handmade products are just another extra added value for visitors. Chat with the owner is a must!

The tea house is the paradigm of tranquility. They offer excellent teas, coffee, and wholesome snacks that soothe the belly and salve the soul. The staff is hospital and kind and the owners are outgoing, engaging, and welcoming to no end. They offer workshops too that are inclusive to all age groups! Hands down a must see place if you're on Koh Lanta. Great for families, the wondering vagabonds, and explores alike, Asalanta welcomes all.

Seem they’d just re-open again with new hand made bamboo’s house. Nice and warm welcome from Thai-Dutch couple and little girl-Asa(same name with this place). Not sure what they offering after re-open but would be fun , challenge and memorable as always. Please check with the owner and you will see the Lanta in different view.

Wow wow wow. What a lovely experience! We went to ASALANTA a few days ago and I cannot recommend it highly enough. I’m a huge fan of crafty things and came across this while we were staying in Koh Lanta looking at potential workshops/classes. We chose to do one of their 1 hour workshops making our own eco friendly bamboo cups due to the fact we had a car booked for the day and this was our last stop. However we were having so much fun we sent the car away and stayed longer. Thank you so much to Anke, Aoi and their very adorable daughter Asa! We had a brilliant time cutting down bamboo and learning all about it before hand crafting our very own cup to take home. Anke and Aoi also very kindly gave us a little tipple of beer to toast our new creations. It was lovely just sitting in the middle of the wilderness and hearing about their story and how they have built everything there by hand, planting all the bamboo and really living off the land in a truly sustainable way. Even if you’re not so keen on doing a workshop I would still highly recommend visiting as they have an incredible bamboo tree house tea room where you can just sit relax and soak in the calm atmosphere. Also definitely try the iced coffee. Honestly the BEST I have tasted in our time in Thailand! DELICIOUS!!!! Thank you all again, we shall definitely be back next time we’re in Koh Lanta and can’t wait to see what new things you’ve built when we do!

Hidden treasure in Koh Lanta, it's my favorite place in Thailand. Get out of the beaten (touristy) track and immerse yourself into a new world. Anke, Aoi and the little Asa are there willing to share their lifestyle and inspire many others to build a better world for all beings. Highly recommend the berry shake and the energy balls at the Organic Teahouse. If planning to stay longer in Koh Lanta, definitely worth staying at their lodge and have an unique experience at the bamboo forest. I stayed there for 6 nights and I'm definitely coming back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here! You can safely get yourself here, just follow the small red signs from where Google Maps takes you. Bamboo lessons and workshop was intriguing, seeing how important and versatile this plant is in Thailand. Tools and crafting are different from norwegian ones, but very efficient. Smaller children get help working, our 6 and 11 year old had a blast making their pencil house for school. A meal with the family and employees together made a much more intimate experience than the common tourist setting. Also, as the food is prepared without the usual additives (msg, factory broth etc), you actually get to experience the ingredients and their unique tastes. The strawberry smoothie was heavenly on a hot day, besides; if you fear that the jungle will be scolding hot there is shade everywhere and a nice draft. If you want an out-of-the-ordinary experience, perhaps some hand made jewellery, be sure to visit this gorgeous couple and their beautiful daughter!
