The coffee was good and the owner was friendly. The croissant muffin tasted like a regular croissant, not worth what I paid for it. Either I got scammed or the croissant was around 7 euros, which is very expensive.

Modern café in the city centre of Zwolle. Delicious mud cakes, nice cinnamon scrolls and average coffee. This place has fantastic mud cakes, though it is a shame that the coffee ain’t particularly good. While it looks like a speciality coffee bar, the roast was bland, and the barista skills lacking. The pour, milk froth and latte art were lacking. A shame, I hope they will improve their coffee quality and consistency.

Nice cozy coffee place in the center of Zwolle. Fantastic service, cheap prices for quality coffee and one of the best Caramel Snickers Cheesecake in the Netherlands. Pick up available, and you can buy their own roasted beans, or even get them delivered. Worth the visit.

Sam’s is a lovely little coffee shop tucked off the street from the main square. Freshly roasted coffee, sweets and more. Sam also gave us nice lunch recommendations for town. Definitely recommend :)

Discovered this place almost randomly during my first visit to Zwolle's IND desk. At a time I was living in another place, but recalling memories, now I'm almost certain that Sam's coffee was the one of the reasons my mind considered subconsciously to move to Zwolle Simply, one of the best coffee places in the entire Netherlands. Ever welcoming Sam prepares your coffee himself, the taste and the experience is always on the top level. Bringing all my visiting friends here

Modern cafe with minimalistic design near the city center. We had the hand brewed coffee & mocha and both were refreshing. I wish the mocha was a bit more warmer though. Recommend visiting this place if you are nearby.

Incredible specialty coffee. The owner, Sam, is very knowledgeable about all things coffee. Love the personal touch - the pastry I had, for example, is baked right in the coffee shop, with the cream and berry added right there. Nice coffee, friendly staff but not accept visa and master card. And roasting coffee bean selling in the store is not that recent, i couldnt buy over 15 days passed.

Wonderful place! The coffee is top-notch, and so are the beans. We bought a bag and weren’t disappointed! The beans are great value for money. Sam is a very kind owner who told us all about the coffee we were interested in. He’s definitely passionate about his job! If you’re in Zwolle and love specialty coffee, this place is a must!

Sam's coffee is just a great place to relax. Great coffee, delicious pastries and amazing staff. Our drink of choice was Colombian pink bourbon in a V60 and espresso. Highly recommended

Drawn to the coffee shop by the amazing smell of cinnamon rolls right out of the oven. The coffee selection is great. I chose an espresso from Ethiopia (nice fruit notes). Among the tasty coffee (which is roasted by the knowledgeable owner) the very stylish interior and cups make for an excellent coffee break right in the middle of Zwolle.

One of the best customer service and quality of coffee I have ever received. Either in the states or other countries. Owner really put his heart and soul into the customer experience and it shows! Also plenty of space for people and the design work is top notch! 10/10!

If you love coffee you must come here! We stepped by to grab a coffee with a piece of cake and got introduced into Sams world instead. Sam is really really passionate about what he is doing and makes one of the best coffees we ever had as a result! He knows what he is talking about like nobody else and we will definitely come back for a Barista course! The cake was great also! :)

Sam’s coffee is a modern, quite clean coffeeshop which shares the space with a barber. I think that explains the clean concept. Sam is a great barista who’s most interested in it’s customers. His cinnamon rolls are freshly made and definitely worth trying. The iced coffee we drank was the best I had so far.

Stumbled upon this place by accident when walking around Zwolle. Always looking for good specialty coffee, I hopped in for a much needed espresso and they did not disappoint! I'm not a big espresso drinker, because it's oftentimes on the sour side, but here the espresso is very subtle with an awesome sweetness. No sugar needed! The owner is also a very friendly guy, very knowledgeable as well and he roasts his own coffee so he really knows what he's talking about! A definite go to spot for coffee in Zwolle!

Darkest light roast I've ever had by far. The coffee is good, but I've deducted a point as I suspect their "light" is a fair bit further past first crack compared to the mean within third wave establishments, and another for tasting notes that were out of sequence- thereby over representing the most interesting parts of the profile, leading to disappointment. Friendly staff, with an ok selection of different varietals. It did seem like there was a lean towards darker profiles and espresso, so maybe not the place if you're hoping for that Wendelboe style brightness in your cup.

A very trendy and classy cafe which serves some nice coffee. We tried the filter coffee and the mocha and both were pretty decent. Nothing too out of the world. The ambience of the cafe is nice which shares with a salon. The staff were friendly and the service was pretty quick. All in all, a nice cafe.

Went to Sam’s a bit early as he was about to open. He was kindly letting us sit down and get comfy while he was preparing our order. The place was heaven if you plan to work remotely. They got some options of good cake and pastries. Coffee part, cannot complain at all! The hand brew coffee was amazing. The cappuccino was also great. Sadly there was no handle, but it was aesthetic. 10/10 would come and chill again

Coffee in the Netherlands is acceptable, however Sam's Coffee is the best we have ever had! Took a 1kg bag of Italian Business beans home to the UK and using my La Pavoni Europiccola they taste great too! It would have been better if the bag had the "Roasting Date" written on the bag (I was assured that this was within the last 4 days and I don't doubt this) and the website prices need to be updated as I paid 27€ instead of the published 25€...a truly great coffee joint!!!

Sam's Coffee is an elegant café with a beautiful interior design, which truly matches their slogan: "Coffee with manners." Sam's coffee is recently upgraded from a small cozy café to this new, massive and modern espressobar. Both locations have had their own unique style and atmosphere. I have visited this place twice and had a great coffee experience! Both times I was helped kindly, thoughtful and gallantly. The service was excellent. I have also seen how Sam prepared a cup of coffee artistic and passionately. He keeps developing himself in his profession and keeps introducing new innovative coffee machines. You can certainly recognise his passion for his work! In other words a great entrepreneur and barista! If you love coffee, then visiting Sam's coffee is definitely worth a shot! As a bonus, you can also order their signature coffee beans online from their webshop!

It has been a truly amazing workshop. The passion and heart poured in by Sam is something I rarely encountered. It's like I taste coffee in a different way now and it showed me what a good cup of coffee can be. Whenever I'm in Zwolle, I come to Sam's Coffee since for me it's without a doubt the best coffee in town, if not the province. A rare gem in the coffee world to a more than good price for what you get. If you can, take a visit. I recommend an espresso or slow coffee, since in my eyes this is where the quality of his coffees truly shine.

Sam’s is a great place to stop for a smooth espresso or cappuccino. Located next to the Achter de Broeren in Zwolle. We have had coffees from all over the world and this one ranks as the best!
