To avoid rush and to enjoy food we went early there with great expectation,but dishes was not tasty than we expected. The staffs are very polite and friendly but the supplier had no idea about the rate of fishes.we get confused abt rates if we come to dishes i tried Kappa,rice,appam,fish fry,fish curry,fish head,squad. Fish fry and kappa just awesome..i loved it but gravy used for fish head and fish curry is worst,not properly cooked and takes like chilli mix gravy.In case of Squad roast the oil feels old and not cooked properly.(done parcel and cooked again to get the taste) Also had suggestion to provide a mini meals with minimum dishes instead of providing rice only.

Excellent place for some spicy Kerala shaap food! We came here looking for some good old toddy and eat spicy food but turns out they only serve the food here. So yes, it is family and teetotaller friendly. Food was excellent and well priced. We loved their fish fry and also the beef roast.

Surprisingly there were a few toddy shops around the locality with similar names, make sure you visit the real one around the place. There is a slight difference in the actual location than on the location on Google maps, about a 200m. To be honest the food was different from the food that we get around some other local toddy shops in Trivandrum. The food had the signature taste and quality which the traditional shaap food has especially the pork was superb. The toddy quality is above average and the service they offer is really nice. If you're looking for some good toddy and the naadan kallu then this is the place!

Tasty food, friendly people, never gets toddy here. The toddy shop is just opposite to this hotel. So here we could enjoy food time with family.Enjoyed Appam, duck curry, Tapioca,kakka fry and fish curry. The camel was so funny for the childrens👍

The food is good, there is no other veg curry available so this restaurant is only for non-veg lovers. We can choose which type of fish we want they will fry that and give it to us. It's tasty. Clean place. The service is good. Very calm place. It's a good family restaurant. Little bit costly also. Good experience

Nice evening vibe with good authentic kerala food. Lots of fish varieties and non veg options available. Veg options vere few. Fresh sweet toddy also is served along with food.

Non veg lovers should visit this shop once. You get variety fishes, chicken, pork, beef, rabbit, etc. Kappa, porotta, Appam, rice served with these non veg items. Ample space for sitting and parking available.

Getting to this place can be quite an adventure, as there's no proper road leading to it. I approached it from an unconventional route, which made me hesitate a bit. Google Maps indicated a narrow road running alongside a canal, which added to the intrigue. In the vicinity, you'll find about three toddy shops, and this particular one is renowned, from what I gathered. My initial intention was to savor some toddy, but alas, it happened to be a dry day, so that plan was dashed. The management of customers leaves much to be desired; you're essentially left to your own to find a place to sit. We arrived around 2:15 PM, and to our disappointment, most items were unavailable. Nevertheless, we did manage to try some appam and parotta with beef and pork. The pork was a standout, and the fish dishes we ordered were not only fresh but also bursting with flavor. On the downside, the service left much to be desired, and the waiter's attitude was bad. It's important to keep in mind that this is a toddy shop, so expectations should be adjusted accordingly. There is some parking space right in front of the restaurant, although you might need to scout around for spots along the congested and less-traveled path.

Nice eatery. Good food. Fish available fried, cooked. Other meat items also available. Working time 8 to 8. Toddy was not very plesant, may be because it was late afternoon.

A normal shap near the Punchakari area. We went in as a party of three for lunch. There is no proper rice meals option here which was quite wierd. You do get plain rice without any curry or side fish. You have the option to choose a fish which they will fry and serve. There is kappa n fish curry gravy option too. The taste was pretty average. They do the bare minimum service wise.

Family friendly environment. But waiters are too lazy to serve. They just want the customers to eat and get out at the minimum possible time. So they try to rush us through our food. Food was decent and we're available at a higher quantity. Good variety of sea food was available

One of the best hotels in Trivandrum where you can have authentic ഷാപ്പ് curry taste. There is ample car parking space and the restaurant was very neat. You can select the fish you want to fry. The food was excellent. We had appam, കപ്പ (2 plates), വരാൽ fry, പോത്ത് roast, പൊടിമീൻ fry which had cost ₹1570/-. There are also family rooms. Better reach there by 11:30-12:00. Highly recommended. They don't serve toddy. You can have good toddy from the ഷാപ്പ് opposite to the restaurant.

We secured a family cabin which was good enough for a group of 8,ordered karimeen fry,red snapper(chemballi) fry,appam,kappa,beef roast,fish curry and duck roast. Food was okay,nothing great but the people were very friendly. Red snapper fry and beef roast were worth trying for.

Amazing experience. Ate a lot more than usual. Really spicy and hooking. Planning on visiting there more. They invite one of you to the kitchen to choose the fish we wish to deep fry and rate the dish as per the weight of the fish. Infrastructure is basic. But the cuisine is ...Chef's kiss.. Ordered a lot more than whats shown in the picture. Couldn't wait to click the others in midst or ravaging through the dishes

Food is great especially rabbit and prawns. I haven't tried fish so no take on that. The only problem is during holidays/weekends it will be crowded and to get a family room you have to wait for quite a long period.

Ambience wise like a toddy shap, seperate dining available for family as well. Waiters are little lazy to attend the customers.. expect a small delay to order the foods. Also varieties of fish fry available… We have tried Pork Roast, Kakka thoran, Fish fry with rice. Average taste and specially pork roast was superb. No option available for card payments, accepting gpay, paytm etc.

Great local food ! Don't expect high hygiene and quality foods ! It's a typical fast food restaurant selling food and palm alcohol. Recommended to go as a group due to local people! Parrota+ any fish + beef where really good !
