Getting
to
this
place
can
be
quite
an
adventure,
as
there's
no
proper
road
leading
to
it.
I
approached
it
from
an
unconventional
route,
which
made
me
hesitate
a
bit.
Google
Maps
indicated
a
narrow
road
running
alongside
a
canal,
which
added
to
the
intrigue.
In
the
vicinity,
you'll
find
about
three
toddy
shops,
and
this
particular
one
is
renowned,
from
what
I
gathered.
My
initial
intention
was
to
savor
some
toddy,
but
alas,
it
happened
to
be
a
dry
day,
so
that
plan
was
dashed.
The
management
of
customers
leaves
much
to
be
desired;
you're
essentially
left
to
your
own
to
find
a
place
to
sit.
We
arrived
around
2:15
PM,
and
to
our
disappointment,
most
items
were
unavailable.
Nevertheless,
we
did
manage
to
try
some
appam
and
parotta
with
beef
and
pork.
The
pork
was
a
standout,
and
the
fish
dishes
we
ordered
were
not
only
fresh
but
also
bursting
with
flavor.
On
the
downside,
the
service
left
much
to
be
desired,
and
the
waiter's
attitude
was
bad.
It's
important
to
keep
in
mind
that
this
is
a
toddy
shop,
so
expectations
should
be
adjusted
accordingly.
There
is
some
parking
space
right
in
front
of
the
restaurant,
although
you
might
need
to
scout
around
for
spots
along
the
congested
and
less-traveled
path.
