The food was not good..The masala dosa just too bland other than beetroot there was nothing inside the masala...also had the vegetable curry and chapathi which was just not good enough hadn't tried the non vegetarian items I don't think it will be any better. The handwash was inside a water bottle with a hole in the cap.I don't know what they are trying!!!The architecture is nice but I expected more from one of the oldest restaurants in Thiruvananthapuram. Also the waiter should be more presentable, wearing white clothes is good but it should be white rather than white with blue shades(Ujala). So I kindly advise to not visit for the food, maybe for juices etc. There are lot of better restaurants in Thiruvananthapuram which are affordable and better than here...!!!

Normal food options. Famous food chains in Kerala. Spiral-shaped path in the restaurant. On that path have tables for food. Need to improve service. The food taste was average. Food cost was reasonable. No vehicle parking options. They received google pay. #food

This is an iconic place at Thamabanoor, Thiruvananthapuram. I always try to eat here whenever I visit Trivandrum. This time I tried Chicken Biriyani. It was good. The authentic ICH taste. For those who are coming by car, parking can be an issue. However, if you are looking for a tidy place with good quality for a reasonable price, this can be one of your options.

It has a less diversified menu for breakfast (no poori, no idly even) I had ghee roast and tea, the dosa was tasty and tea which was okayish. The hotel is wheelchair friendly.

One of the oldest outlets of Indian coffee house. Opposite to railway station and near to bus station. Main attraction is the seating arrangement inside spiral architecture which was made by "Gandhi of architecture" Mr. Laurie baker. I remember old times whenever we come from my native town we would have masala dosa and tea from here. It's good for quick bites. But nowadays masaladosa and vadai is not so good, but normal. But i really liked the cutlet. Both chicken and vegetable cutlet.. both was delicious 🤤 everyone should try it. And comparing to prices of other restaurants, they are very reasonable.

The place looks iconic and very aesthetic as they have still maintained the old charm. Mentioning the items we had and their respective reviews- 1. Masala dosa- good crispy and masala was also nice. 2. Vada- Too good as very crispy and not that oily. 3. Porotta - it was fresh, hot and smooth. 4. Beef roast - very good, nice flavour and soft meat. 5. Chicken cutlet - even though chicken piece is rare the cutlet was good. 6. Coffee- this was the only item we had a bad review as it had a smoky flavour. 7. Black tea - good. PS - porotta Beef combo highly recommended 🔥

The structure of this Indian coffee house is distinctive from others. Masala Dosa and their cutlet are amazing. Apart from these they serve a decent biriyani with a good quantity and quality.❤️

Known for its spiral architecture, Indian Coffee House Thampanoor is one of the oldest hotels in Trivandrum. Usually congested. Takes time to get orders served because it's very busy. Customer service is good. Price is economical, but food quantity less.

Very nice restaurant. Ambience won't be that good. Rush is there. But the food is very nice. Porotta, Beef, Chicken Cutlet, Chicken Curry , Coffee, Masala Dosa, Bombay Toast etc are very nice here. Cleanliness is on bit lower side. But , not an issue. The building is old, that may be the reason. In total, Indian Coffee House is a very nice restaurant.

Giving 3 stars for the architecture not for the food, went with expectations such as many food bloggers The hype made me think is it genuine or paid videos on social media they share. Anyway, I had masala puri one of the highlight dishes on the menu and was disappointed with the taste of masala, The puri was over crispy fried. And the most imp - their name mentioned coffee house and serving pathetic coffee, far better can get from street shops. Customer service and table service are all good, everyone's friendly and neat place. The restaurant is easily accessible from the central railway station and the bus station, so consider providing quality food.

The coffee is great. Very varied menu at ok prices. Boiled egg and toast did me for breakfast. The spiral ramp with wall side tables is a unique and interesting cafe building. Great ambience. Service speedy.

When I first read about Laurie Baker, I wanted to visit this place... Food was decent and price is moderate... It seems like this place is always busy.... Definitely must visit for this Gandhian architecture.... I felt their coffee is good.

Iconic place next to bus stand. It has a unique circular designed and as per my friend this place was designed by Laurie Baker a renowned architect. We tried veg cutlet and coffee which were fine. Only issue is neat bit of renovation and cleanliness can be improved.

This coffee house is a unique spot! Whenever I reach the capital City, i goes there for some sort of drinks or eating. Nicely built with antique looks of terracotta and slanting floor will give a visitor an added pleasure. Staffs, like foods are homely. Foods are hygiene and tasty

One of the oldest architectures in Trivandrum. Love this Building for its unusual Spiral like Architecture designed by the renowned architect Laurie Baker. The food quality is okay with a decent and affordable pricing. But the customer service is pretty slow and unsatisfactory since it's always congested and hard to find a seat, same as the situation with parking. Actually there isn't a place designated for parking, it's better to travel by public transport If you're looking to visit here since it's nearby Trivandrum Central railway station and Thampanoor Bus Station. Very much accessible as it's located in the heart of the city.

Well known establishment....one of the oldest Indian Coffee Houses. For the prices, the food is good. Had 2 chicken cutlets and 1 coffee Their cutlets are among the best I have had, a must try item. Also, they use the chicory coffee powder, which gives the coffee a more raw and intense flavour. Depending on your taste, you will either hate it or love it. Total price - 56 rupees

Just at a walkable distance from both Thampanoor bus stand and Trivandrum Central railway station (on the right side 100mtrs approximate towards the West). A peculiar type spiral building painted in red also often used as land mark by the local people. Tea and coffee served here are good in taste. You will get Biryani, Paratha, Poori, Dosa, Idly, Masala Dosa etc The rates are average not so high and not too cheap. The service is good. The quality of masala dosa could have been improved if the filling made of beetroot be replaced with some other stuff.

Lauri baker’s unique architecture adds a zest like no other to this institution of a place. Absolute light on the pockets, moderately high on taste and bang on the buck for aesthetics. Whenever I visit Trivandrum, the visit isn’t complete without coming to coffee houses. This has to be one of the most unique coffee houses in India amongst a host of them which they have all over India. We tried their cutlets which were great, biryani which they do decently and an okay tasting coffee. It’s usually served mild, ask them to make it stronger.

50% of the visitors here just come here to see the architecture of this restaurant and just have some light food. To be honest, the food quality of this place is a bit on the lower side. The wonderful structure of this place is well appreciated. It accommodates a lot of people under a spherical roof. 1. Masala Dosha - (2/5) Very small for the price and the stuff inside is very less. It's not tasty either. The chutney and sambar as well are rather watery. 2. Vada - (3/5) Vada is crispy but the oil content is too much. It costs Rs 12. 3. Chaya - (0/5) You can only expect the worst tea from this place. Try Coffee instead. It costs Rs 12/15.

It's not for someone like vip these restaurant is for normal commuting customers.Services was very nice one of the staff was very professional which felt unique. Not as clean as you think.I ate from here for a whole day and i felt like this :- Breakfast:- chappathi was very smooth and the curry with it felt really good but a bit expensive Lunch:-Veg rice was also amazing with more veggies than usual felt that good too affordable too But..... Dinner:-ordered chicken Biryani wasn't good it felt a bit old like cooked in the evening and served in night that the only part i was disappointed and normal rate Main thing you wont have any issue with the food which i usually have when i eat from restaurant felt like very much homely food.

Maveli Cafe, a branch of Indian Coffee House, offers a classic ambiance reminiscent of the old-world charm with its retro decor and vintage furniture. It has been a go-to spot for locals and tourists for decades. The cafe is famous for its strong and aromatic filter coffee, which is a must-try for coffee enthusiasts. They also serve other popular South Indian beverages like masala tea, hot chocolate, and various refreshing cold drinks.

Their service is pretty good, the name have the reputation, supplier dresses could be little bit of neatness. They were using handwash bottle by putting a whole in a water bottle. 😂 👌🏻.

I'm only giving one star here, because there's no "ridiculously expensive for such trashy food" button. WORST BIRYANI I HAVE EVER EATEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!! They charge ₹145 for a single biryani and it's just not worth the price. TRUST ME!! Very average taste and quantity. The service was very poor and the whole place was dirty. The waiter was pretty rude and all the food they serve didn't feel fresh. I would recommend you to eat somewhere else that has more tasty food with adequate quantity. These people are purely scammers!!!
