Beautiful Nature Trails to go and explore! I do recommend bringing your kids as they can see and feel the environment around them.

The most amazing and beautiful fully accessible and inclusive destination we have visited in Canada thus far. Simply awe inspiring, well built and maintained. They live by " If it's truly a good idea then it's good for everyone ". One of our favorite accessible locations.

Amazing kid friendly walk in nature!!! Very cool picnic area and playground. 3 forest trails... 400m/ 990m /330m surprisingly no mosquitoes. Saw a tons of birds. Lovely bird chirping sounds all around. A very relaxing place. Also can host parties and celebration. No fires of any kind on campus. Cool colorful totempoles all around. Spend about 2 hours today since we came in the evening. Will definitely come back another time.

It's so comfortable in the forest. Wet and cool, but please make sure to wear bug spray before you come. There are so many mosquitoes and ticks. I can stay the whole day in the forest to enjoy the quiet and relax. No ticket required.

A relatively flat and well maintained trail that has interesting and unique games and family puzzles to complete while you hike. The facility also has mini putt, picnic benches, shelters and a basketball court. Love how quiet and we’ll spaced out everything was.

Was only able to walk the trails, but still had an enjoyable experience. Trails are well maintained and there's plenty of parking. I loved watching all the frogs in the marsh areas!

Amazing amazing amazing! Not only is Heartland a wonderful natural space, but it’s programming is second to none. I was so lucky to join in on a sweet grass braiding workshop with a chap named Louis Harris. He expertly showed us through his Friendship Garden, helping helping us collect sweet grass in a respectful manner. He taught us about the traditions of the Haudenosaunee and was very knowledgeable. I cannot wait to attend another workshop to learn more about the natural and cultural heritage of the site!

Visited today and this place is awesome! Not only is the majority of the trails accessible, the activities available and things to see are definitely worth while. I would have begged my parents to take me here as a kid. Friendly staff and beautiful facilities too!

Great place for an easy nature walk. Lots of wet areas and little ponds for the kids to muck around in. Nice level paths for stollers etc. Free access to the paths and playground, plus paid educational programs if you're looking for structured activities.

Heartland Forest was amazing, they had so many trails you could walk down and see the wildlife there. They also have a playground, picnic area and mini-putt golf for only $2.00. We all enjoyed ourselves thoroughly!!

It's been at least a decade since I was last here. They have really built a lot of new features -- mini putt, a train ride, washrooms, playground, climbing center, and education center. There could be much more that we did not see. Our two-year-old granddaughter very much enjoyed our visit. We will be back!

It's the off season. None of the activities or exhibits were open. We were going for the walk anyway. Nice space. Lots of people immortalized by benches or markers. I found it somewhat disturbing, so many were so young.

Great way to spend time on any given day. Multiple trails of varying lengths; exercise stations, benches, and educational signs along the trails; fully wheelchair accessible; mini putt golf course; vendor market (check events calendar); clean washrooms. Would highly recommend!

A lovely park replete with nature/activity center. Almost all of the trails are completely wheel chair accessible. Trails are well groomed and completely kid friendly. Cost of entry is free.

My son loved the play ground. I enjoyed hiking with my friend

Nice trail in the forest but please, PLEASE bring bug spray. There are so many bugs, we ended up running the rest of the way out trying not to get eaten alive. The turtles and frogs were nice to see along the way. A better experience in the fall, towards winter then summer when bugs aren't out to much

We love it here. Lots of frogs today!! Great walk ending with $2 mini putt. Next time we will do the $2 train

It's a beautiful piece of Niagara and it's free! The trails are always clear and cleaned and is accessible to anyone of any ability. From the giant tree house to the boardwalk to the ponds and playground this is a great place for families!

If you want to visit to that store, don’t come at winter, it’s closed. Walk is nice but not great for the kids

A hidden gem in Niagara falls. An amazing place to go to for all ages. Very educational and a nature preserve in a very busy city.

  • 5/5 Chase S. 1 year ago on Google
Great public nature space with walking trails, a play ground and even paid children's programs. What an amazing place to have access to. Happy to promote and support this space.

There's little to nothing to complain about. Went to the haloween event and the kids had a ball. Shout outs to the owners , staff and volunteers. Little plots of charitable places for the kids to go and have fun are becoming scarce in this day and age as we rely on technology to educate and give experiences to our kids. It's nice for them to be able to experience Halloween and such in a safe friendly outdoor environment. Bring your family, donate and help keep these places alive.

This outdoor learning and play center is so awesome! It was our first time and we walked the trails, played at the playground, and saw all of the cute additions around. It's well maintained and an excellent place to bring your family.

Beautiful trails for walks, dog friendly. The pictures were of Muskrats playing in the water. Many classes and functions. Snow shoeing in winter. No charge to get in but some functions have a fee. This was my fist time there so I don't know a lot but will definitely go back. Please check out their website. As this was a first time visit for me I don't have a lot of info but definitely a gtreat place.

This is one of the best places! They have lots of activities --indoors and outdoors. The trails are great, and they add more when they can. One thing: watch the ticks! They are everywhere! We were on pollinator trail last year and came out of there with about 20 ticks on the legs. I have seen the ticks from March-Dec. Still a fantastic place. I encourage that parents watch their children and please do not litter! I also discourage balloons there in the forest, as they can be mistaken for food by some wildlife, or they can get tangled in the strings.
