One of the main participants in thrissur pooram. Situated closer to Vadakkunadhan temple. Great ambiance. Situated in the heart of the city, thiruvambady temple plays a great role in pooram celebrations. Sri Krishna is the main prathista of temple. Tustker Thiruvambadi sivasunder was a great asset to the temple. Really misses Sivasunder. Wishes for their good future 😊😊😊

Situated in Trissur, near Patturaikkal. Thiruvambady temple is one of the most important shrines in Trissur. Sree Krishna in his child form is the main deity. Next to Him is Bhagavathy ( Devi) Ladies can wear saree or churidar. Men have to remove their shirts and wear dhothi.

Blissful experience of taking darshan of Lord Krishna in Balagopal form. Right next to Lord Krishnas Deity, is a beautiful Deity of Durga Devi or Vaishnavi, Sister of Lord Krishna. Apart from this, there is a place for Lord Sasthavu and Lord Ganeshji. There is a nice hall were Bhagavada Katha/discourses/kirtans are conducted. Would love to see more discourses and programs and hope it becomes free from government control and regains it status as a centre for learning and education in spiritual studies.

"I recently visited Thiruvambady Krishna Temple in Thrissur, and it was an incredible spiritual experience. The temple's beautiful architecture and serene atmosphere immediately put me at ease, and I felt a deep sense of peace and spirituality. The temple's main deity, Lord Krishna, was beautifully adorned and presented, and the temple priests were welcoming and knowledgeable. They guided me through the rituals and traditions of the temple, which enhanced my overall spiritual experience. The temple is known for its famous Thrissur Pooram festival, which is a unique and awe-inspiring experience that showcases the temple's cultural and spiritual significance. The festival is a must-visit for anyone who is in the area during that time of the year. The cleanliness and organization of the temple were highly commendable, and the staff's dedication to maintaining the temple premises' hygiene is highly appreciated. Overall, I highly recommend Thiruvambady Krishna Temple to anyone seeking a spiritual and cultural experience in Thrissur. The temple's peaceful and serene atmosphere, combined with its stunning architecture and rich cultural history, make it a truly unique and fulfilling destination. I am grateful for the opportunity to visit this wonderful temple and will surely visit again."

This Krishna temple is being run in a very traditional and culturally befitting manner. The lamps in the evening are beautiful. As is the encouragement of Carnatic performances in the stage within the premises. The deity here is the form of Unnikrishnan. He is seen sideways, the story being from the time when he was punished by Ma Yashodha. Do buy a momento and prasadam from the shop within the premises after having darshan. Because this Krishnan will stay with you.. The only sad part is that the hours of temple worship are a bit odd and I wish that this temple as would other temples in Kerala permit longer durations of open hours for darshan.

This temple is situated at the western side of the Vadakkumnathan temple. A great temple to worship Lord Krishna (Ambadi Knnan).Thiruvambady temple was originally situated in a village 15 km away from Thrissur and the main deity Lord Krishna, was, some five centuries ago, brought to Thrissur. This caused the establishment of Thiruvambady Temple at Thrissur. This temple with Paramekav Temple makes the Thrissur Pooram a wonderful world-class one.

Along with the vadakkumnathan and paramekkavu temples, thiruvambady temple makes the important temple trio of thrissur. One of the most important temples to participate in the Thrissur pooram. Sri Krishna is the presiding deity. Parking is a problem in front of the temple. However, two wheelers can be parked here and there. Parking for four wheelers are a problem though. One can park the four wheelers in one of the bylanes near the temple.

One of the Finest Spaces of Spiritual significance for Hindus in South India ... Main Idol is in Krishna's playful childlike state, gives immense pleasure to prayerful devotes. Holding a flute Upadevata sankalpam includes Devi in her vibrant form. Sri Darmashasta, Ganapati, etc. The temple is also a co participant in the world famous Thrissur Pooram conducted and hoisted by Sri Vadakumnathan Temple in Theekinkadu Maidanam every year. For many local devotees the place and lord is as auspicious as Sri Guruvayoor Temple also in Thrissur.
