A small Indian restaurant in Timaru. They offer dining in and takeaway. They are a popular franchise of Little India chain around New Zealand. Comparatively to Christchurch, Rolleston branches, it is small. They offer alcoholic drinks, soft drinks and other usual drinks too. There was a bold guy at the counter who I would not say good in customer service. He hasn't got it. Street parking might be available, but dnt worry, u have onsite parking 🅿️ just by the location. But, they dnt have chaai which is a downside.

Overnight stay in Timaru and too busy to leave the motel to venture out for an evening meal. Ordered tandoori chicken as a starter from these guys. Fast delivery and absolutely superb. Back down in a few weeks and guess what? Yep, tandoori chicken it’ll be again.

Great place to go for a curry! The waiter was friendly and great atmosphere. Definitely recommend and will be going back.

Never disappointed. I just love this place. The food is always of the highest standard with the service to match. Simply unbeatable.

Pretty upset with my online order. Was charged $8 for a 375ml of ginger beer considering they make a 1.5 litre bottle for that cost of price. No cutlery was provided for the meal. No napkins. Just wasn’t what I was expecting for $50+ alongside a cheese nan and butter chicken

Butter chicken was the worst I’ve had. Couldn’t finish it. They also stuffed up our order and was 10 minutes late. Asked for medium and got a “mied” with no spice. Can only assume it was a mild..

Worst Indian food in new zealand. I have been to many times in Little India Wellington and Christchurch, always had great food. Food was tasteless without salt and hot felt like mild. No worth going to this Little india.

I was quite disappointed with the overall experience. The food was the primary letdown, as it lacked the essential flavours that one would expect from an Indian restaurant. The dishes I ordered seemed to be missing salt, rendering them bland and tasteless. I specifically requested a higher level of spiciness in my dishes but that was also missing.

Excellent Indian restaurant. Great food, ambiance and service. Lovely view of the sea. Has a lovely family tradition attached to it. Excellent wine list. Can’t fault it. Will be back when we next visit Timaru.

Came here when was quite quiet and the staff were super polite, making sure we were looked after and customer service i give 5 poppadoms out of 5. Got the butter chicken with a garlic naan, the butter chicken really tastes like it was made from love. The naan had heaps of garlic which is what I love so give this a Indian hot out of spice review here. As you can see it was so delicious that the photo attached is of it demolished. Can recommend this place to anyone who wants a good butter chicken like any good kiwi does. (Mango lassi here too was perfect)

A very relaxing afternoon drink of cold cider after a long drive from Dunedin back to Christchurch. We stopped over here and had a nice lunch as well. Service is top notch!

Delicious and authentic restaurant with a great view. Parking available. Take-out will take about 15min for preparation, best to order beforehand.

Worst lamb biriyani ever had. Chole bature was okay. No going back to little india restaurants ever.

Had some samosa's which was just to say samosa not with goody's flavor, very fresh as and the expectation doesn't met. My review is not to disliking the foodstuffs overthere but to find better one tomorrow. Please make sure you guy's serving the best Indian recipes around the town and maintain the foods in very very high standard in terms of it's taste and demand. Thanks for you service and time which was just alright. 😂😂.... Hope to see you soon again.

I had Prawn Malabari. It is good, a bit too thin. The only one minus point is price. Expensive. Not value for money.

I ordered the butter chicken to takeaway. It looked like it had a tomato base and not the creamy look I’m use too. Once I transferred the rice and butter chicken onto a plate, the sauce became watery. Definitely not the best I’ve had and most likely won’t go back. On a positive note, the cheese and garlic naan was great and the chicken was cooked nicely.

Always amazing food and service. Tandoori mushrooms 🍽 are a definite favourite 😍

Worst madras I've ever had, I always order a medium lamb madras at every indian restaurant I've ever been to. This one was not like any madras I've ever had before. The sauce was dark brown and no coconut cream at all. The sauce was watery and too salty. And the lamb was a really light colour?? Also my cheesy garlic naan had onion in it??? Just why? Also my order took twice as long to make as what they said on the phone
