Very disappointed with tonights meal. Ordered seafood crepe which was advertised as shrimp, mussels and white fish in a creamy sauce enclosed in a crepe with cheese. Flavour was really great but only fish inside. Absolutely no sign of prawns or mussels even in the flavour. For the price very disappointing meal.

This is the second year in a row that the Timaru BRONZ motorcycle club had its belated Midwinter Meal at Benny's Again and it was even better than last year.We had a set menu of $47 which consisted of three courses. I had the most delicious seafood chowder that had a great selection of prawns crab etc.Mains I had the Lamb Shank and dessert was warm chocolate mud cake with cream icecream and their own special chocolate sauce.Excellent atmosphere and service help make our celebration a resounding success.

Fries and Murphys wedges were very bland and 1 waitress in particular was extremely rude and obviously has never been trained in hospitality. never going back.

Our best meal was probably the kids platter! It was a hit with my son. A few problems with our other meals but generally enjoyable.

Lamb shanks tasted like they'd been frozen and the vegetables weren't cooked. The sauce in the pasta was watery and the chicken had also been frozen and was tastless. We couldn't eat our meal.so we just paid and left. Wont be back. Very disappointing for the price.

First impressions were very good. Restaurant looked spacious and clean and the service was fast and friendly. The steak when it came was just as ordered. Well done yet not tough. Scallops however were dark brown when they arrived at the table. As suspected they were dry in sore need of the aioli they came with. Having waited nearly 40 mins for the food to come and knowing there was a large table sitting behind us I was reluctant to return the scallops as I didn’t want another long wait. Management were very good and did take money off the bill. If you are wanting scallops do not get them here.Staff assured me this is how they always cook them here and they’ve never had complaints before

Great atmosphere, great fish and chips and super fast service.

We were here as part of the Big Sing cadenza this weekend. Gave this place a go. The service and food was top notch. I had their blue code fish and chips. It was yum. My friend had their chef choice of the day, pan fried gurnard. It looked delicious. Look forward to visiting them again and trying different dishes.

Food is wonderful with large portions. Benny’s Chicken usually a favourite, although the Thai Green Curry is an equally delicious choice sometimes. It very much pays to make a booking, since they can get insanely busy when there are events on in town. Oh, and should I mention Elvis Presley?

Amazing service felt like we were apart of a close knit family, service was beyond amazing food was beautiful will definitely be back again

Seafood Chowder was delish. Main of Seafood Crepe was ok..Chicken Filo.nice enough, slaw was yum with the Italian dressing

Went here with a school group and it was great. Everyone got what they ordered, and enjoyed their meals. They accommodated all our dietary requirements. Really great service too.

Chicken parcel was very average, but nachos were good. Quite cold in the restaurant i have to say. Loved that the staff didnt interrupt meals to ask if everything was fine.

Meal was nice, still waiting for the bread. Run out of apricot chicken. Run out of cheesecake, but have keto cheesecake but charge you cheesecake price.

This is probably the best restaurant in Timaru. Our family have come here on multiple occasions and never leave disappointed. The food is always delicious, service is fantastic and a great environment for the kids !

Reservation under Caleb Professional, presentable young woman on the floor today. Both young ladies we were served by were extremely polite and well spoken. Our meal arrived quickly and the 300gm Rib eye was cooked to perfection. Nice to see the owner on the floor on a busy Saturday night. Highly recommend. Great food, great service. Well done guys!!

The food here was not bad, I can't say it was but it all did feel a bit too much on the fried side. It would've been great to have a few more grilled options though I do note they have keto friendly options. My only complaint was the apple crumble that was so sweet it was inedible.
