Would have given more stars but this time around the chips, fish and hot dogs for two families was so greasy it made for a bad meal. Everyone commented on how greasy the meal was. The paper food was wrapped in was soaked in grease and this is no exaggeration it was bad. Their fish is lovely tasting and would have been perfect but it was so greasy the batter fell off. We were the only customers so no excuse. Let food drain more..

The best fish and chip shop in Timaru since I been here. Wish there was more snapper on the menus down in Southland. Love my snapper, still these guys dont overcook or undercook, just right every time. 5 stars

Best fish n chips in timaru!

I'm from Dunedin, and had come to Timaru to pickup a dog. Ended up being quite late by the time we picked the dog up so I googled 'takeaways near me' and selected the first 5-star business I seen. Turns out it was just around the corner from where we were, so we pulled up outside and the place was PACKED! This is obviously a good sign that the tucker is top notch! Can't remember what I ordered but it was good. Chips were lovely, perfect balance between crisp, crunchy and fluffy potato. I had my fill and then some! Will definitely be back next time we're in the 'hood!

Our first choice when it comes to buying fish and chips. Friendly, efficient service. Good sized scoops and generous sized fish. Pays to call ahead during dinner time rush hour. Do be aware of the surcharge (2%?) when paying via debit card/credit card.

Absolutely appauling. I ordered 6 mussels, && 1 scoop of garlic butter chips, they put the mussels with the garlix butter chips, if i wanted garlic butter mussels i would have ordered that, when i went in there theh were rude and argumentative, weren't even prepard to fix their mistake. Disgusting.

We moved to Timaru a year ago. Each week we order our usual 1x battered and 1x crumbed gurnard, chips ,hot dog and potato fritter. Always perfectly cooked, generous portions, nice fresh fish. I came into the shop one night to pick up my order and overheard a staff member taking order number 60, 34 more orders after me! That tells you that this shop serves good takeaways, polite staff, hence that is why people return. Thank you.

Yummy well cooked food. The wait time is a little long but that is because they are so popular. We have had food from here for many months and they are consistently very well cooked.
