A
real
discovery…….I
stayed
at
Dilo
for
the
first
time
for
four
days
in
November,
and
found
it
a
perfect
combination
of
good
service
and
location.
Tucked
away
in
its
own
quiet
cul-de-
sac
just
off
the
main
road
from
the
airport,
it
is
nonetheless
within
minutes
of
the
heart
of
Tirana
using
the
public
transport
and
taxis
that
pass
along
the
fast
lane
in
front
of
the
hotel
gates.
Dilo
itself
is
a
medium
sized
hotel
with
all
the
facilities
of
a
larger
hotel,
but
has
a
cozy
‘boutique’
feel,
due
in
large
part
to
its
friendly
and
helpful
staff.
My
room
was
clean
and
modern
with
a
comfortable
bed,
a
balcony
view
and
all
the
usual
facilities,
and
linen
was
changed
regularly.
There
was
the
usual
full
range
of
hot
and
cold
breakfast
options
in
the
hotel
restaurant
,
including
individually
cooked
dishes
to
order,
and
an
a
la
carte
menu
of
local
and
international
dishes
for
those
wanting
lunch
or
dinner……which
I
didn’t
have
time
to
sample.
But
Dilo’
s
star
attraction
is
undoubtedly
its
top
floor
chalet-style
residents
lounge
bar
and
roof
terrace
with
panoramic
views
of
surrounding
mountains
and
hills…..a
great
place
just
to
sit
and
do
nothing,
Free
and
effective
wi
fi
throughout
the
hotel.
In
short,
an
excellent
choice
for
business
or
pleasure,
and
really
good
value
for
the
50
euros
including
breakfast
that
I
paid.
