Updated below. 🌿🌿 Today is June 3rd, and the area at the entrance is blooming here and there. You can enjoy it until July. It's been a long time since I've climbed up to see it, and I was surprised that it was such a steep slope, with 1000 steps. As you climb the stairs, you can see different varieties of hydrangeas and enjoy them. When the shower falls on Mt. Taiping, crabs come out of the streams. It's best to wear shoes that don't slip. For the elderly, we recommend taking a walk around Rokkakudo, where the tamagoyaki and dumplings at the tea shop at the entrance are delicious. 🤗Update🌿🌿 Today is June 14th, the rainy season has started, and it has been raining every day.The rain and the hydrangeas create a beautiful atmosphere, and it looks like a picture. The area around Rokkakudo is blooming beautifully, June 25th. I think the best time to see them is on the sun. 🤗

2022.6.26 I went to see hydrangeas in an unseasonably hot 35 degrees. Although the 1,000-step staircase was difficult, there were many families with children and elderly people, which suggests that it is a popular spot. I wasn't sure if it was past its peak or if it was slow to grow due to the lack of rain, but although it wasn't in full bloom, there were lots of beautiful flowers everywhere, so I'm glad I went. If you are looking for hydrangeas, we recommend walking from the Hydrangea Sakashita parking lot. It's basically all stairs, so wheelchairs and strollers are free, but it's also difficult for people with mobility issues. It was a spot I would like to visit again next year 💐

As the name suggests, this slope was the best season for hydrangeas. There are fewer hydrangeas than the hydrangeas at the famous temples in Kamakura, but the advantage is that it's not so crowded that you have to line up. June 25, 2023 The hydrangeas on Hydrangea Hill were in full bloom. The 1000 stone steps are quite tough, but the view from Taiheiyama Shrine is very nice.

The slope itself continues all the way to Ohirayama Shrine near the summit, but the hydrangeas are in bloom only halfway up the mountain, up to Zeniarai Benten. The stairs don't have much of a slope up to that point, so even elderly people can climb them without any problems. However, be careful as the stairs from there to Ohirayama Shrine suddenly become steep. It's tough.

Famous spot for Ajisai/Hydrangea in Tochigi ken. Beautiful, colorful hydrangea can be seen throughout from the car park to Ohira Shrine. Crowded and people are waiting to enter the car park in busy days, which is cost ¥500. Discount ticket for Dango🍡 of ¥100 was given with the car park ticket. Bit tired, but worth complete the hiking course up to the Ohira Shire.

When it comes to viewing hydrangeas, there are restrooms at the end of Hydrangea Hill, so it's best to go there. It takes about 20 minutes to get to Ohira Shrine, but the stairs are steep, so I don't recommend wearing sandals. In addition to Hydrangea Hill, there are also hydrangeas in Kenshinpei, so we recommend that as well.

I visited you a week ago. Unfortunately, we took a walk in the rain, but the colors of the hydrangeas were subdued under the overcast sky. The hydrangeas right next to the stairs were in full bloom and looked very nice. The footing was slippery, so please be careful when walking.

Lots of hydrangeas, stone stairs... It had a great atmosphere and was very beautiful. There seemed to be a parking fee depending on the season. It takes a lot of physical strength to climb the stone stairs to the top. Many people were climbing out of breath. There was a parking lot halfway up the mountain, but there were more and more beautiful hydrangeas at the bottom.
