Dr. Shin has helped me when I had a slipped disc. I came to him at pain level 8 or so and after 1 week my pain has greatly subsided to a 1-2. I've also done many rehab exercises at home to help myself. His technique is very different from US chiropractors, yet it seems effective. I was able to email him to get an appointment within 1 or 2 days from my initial pain.

I have been to Dr shin 3 times now, he has helped adjust my low back, my tmj, and my neck. He is gentle and asks for permission for every thing he needs to touch. My pain after my first adjustment was still there but much less and after my second it is even less. I trust that with continued adjustments I will be feeling better than I have in years! He is very kind and explains everything every step of the way. He was also great with my son!

It was very easy to book an appointment. Just go to their site and email them. Very quick responses and was able to see me that week. It isn't like typical American chiropractors. If you are expecting a hard adjustment, this is not it. However, I learned that hard adjustments and cracks are not all it. Dr. Shin was great at communicating in English and did soft adjustments to my lower back to make sure I wasn't feeling any pain during the process. Again, I wasn't expecting any change to happen from the very little hard cracks I heard, but surprisingly feeling better after 2 visits.

Excellent service! My back was killing me and they helped so much. After the first session my pain was halved. After years of not taking care of myself this has really helped. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. Everything is explained in great detail so you understand what is going on. English speakers are welcome and you are made to feel comfortable! 5k Yen for the first session and 10k after that. Come by and give them a try!

This is my second visit with Dr. Shin and he’s the consummate professional. He takes his time to explain everything before he does it and again while doing it. My pain levels for my back and shoulder have improved significantly and the length of time before the pain starts to return is longer. I feel more relief than I’ve felt in the last eight years since I retired. I will continue to come to Dr. Shin and recommend him to anyone that I know that has back, hip or shoulder pain.

I recommend this location. I’ve been to many American Chiropractors before coming here. They haven’t been able to truly help with my back pain from my car accident. Eastern Chiropractic therapy has been an excellent solution. I want to also inform everyone if you come here for the deep tissue massage therapy. It’s not what you get from western massage therapy. They focus on muscle stimulation and lymph node circulation. Kind of not what I was expecting, but may grant some health benefits. I guess my lymph nodes are doing well now 🤷🏻‍♂️. Anyways, I do think their standard chiropractic work is at least worth it!

I came in with knee and back pain. Dr. Shin is VERY thorough and will make sure you understand every single thing he doing which I love. It’s not your typical American chiropractor where you hear a bunch of cracks but I love his style of treatment. He even treated my hurt shoulder and I finally can lift my arm above my head. I've been visiting Shin at Cococi for almost a year now. Prior to this, I had never been to a chiropractor despite having lower back pain for over 20 years. He explained everything in great detail and in English. I couldn't believe how much better I felt after my first visit. I was immediately made a believer! Recently, due to working out of town, I visited another chiropractor to resolve an injury I caused while lifting. This cracked a bunch of vertebra but I left there in more pain than I had arrived. I promptly made a follow-up appointment with Shin upon my return. He had be better in less than 30 minutes. Thank you!

Dr. Shin was very professional . I had debilitating sciatica pain and with just two treatments it’s none existing. I also had the deep tissue massage, Dr. Shin explained everything he was doing from the beginning to end. He also made sure I felt comfortable and kept telling me if I feel uncomfortable to tell him to stop. The pressure could have been harder, but since my sciatica pain is gone and that’s what I came for I gave 5 stars.

Dr Shin did a good job in adjusting my chronic upper thoracic back pain. I went from being in constant pain to no pain after just a single appointment. My lower back pain is more problematic. Dr Shin has effectively solved some of the pain but it was not a “one and done” fix. This is also a chronic issue. I have attended chiropractors around the world. Dr Shin uses a technique I have only encountered once before. His technique is sound and effectiveness is solid but it is different than the techniques I have seen in the US and other European countries.

Dr shun did a wonderful job at the adjustments Needed to make my back, neck, and shoulders move the way they were designed to move. I have recommended him and will continue to do so.

This is my 3rd appointment with Dr. Shin. I had hurt my lower back and had really bad sciatica pain. He was able to make an appointment quickly for me and after 2 adjustments I was already feeling much better. I cannot say that with my US chiropractor. He is very knowledgeable and explains everything as he is doing the adjustment. I did also have the deep tissue massage and it was great, he does get really close to all your areas, he explains and makes sure you are not uncomfortable while he massages. I 100% recommend him for all your chiropractor needs.

I came to the hospital through a referral from a friend due to neck pain. When I was introduced to him, he said that he had solid skills, but was very talkative. The pain, which did not improve even after going to the hospital, was significantly improved after the treatment! If you don't see any improvement after going to the hospital, why not consider visiting a hospital?

This is my second time visiting Dr Shin and he helped me with my shoulder and various vertebrae. He takes the time to understand the problems and discuss a treatment plan. After each treatment I feel better and I understand what I need to pay attention to and how I can massage problems myself.

This is my second time coming to see Dr. Shin. Making appointments and his explanation of corrections have been spot on thus far. I have had major lower back pain and the adjustments have been good and last a few days after appointment. This is my second time to see Dr Shin. He was recommended by a friend at Yokota AFB. He told me I was very shifted. After the first treatment I was very sore at my neck for several days, but my shift and pain has since improved. My back (at neck, mid back, and low back) seem to be improving! (After six years of pain). He is very friendly and explains everything he is doing. The treatment is somewhat different from an experience in America, but I venture to say it is more effective. Would return or send anyone that needs treatment!

Dr. Shin is very thorough and proud to teach you of what is going on in your structure, in English if needed! Booking appointments is super easy, their website translates flawlessly, and emailing with him any questions couldn’t be better. I came in to bring someone else and he assessed me at the same time. I went back later in with a lumbar problem, and he was able to fit me in quickly and help me to feel better within one visit. A follow up proved that his expertise in Japanese adjustments is very complete. He doesn’t adjust you like in America, with all the cracks and shocking pain. It’s is more gentle, to the point where you can rest a bit. The general pain and stiffness the next day is easily assisted with some ice and rest.

Very good English and explained everything in great detail! Helped me with my back and neck pain. I will definitely go back again! Not your typical chiropractor that you would find in the United States but Japanese style (and that’s ok because it works!)
