The building had some interesting elements. However we were not really impressed by the work of the artist. The paintings were not to our taste. Poorly painted and the messages of the paintings didn't really resonate with us. The staff was nice, friendly and helpful.

Great art house in Teshima- Yokoo House was built in a renovated old house, so when wandering inside, make sure to admire the original wooden beams and low entranceways typical of an old, Japanese house. Of course everyone who visits is also impressed by the colorful modern art, modern design & out-of-this-world glass bottom floor, red-rock waterfall, vivid imagery & powerful colors. Love this artist & actually wish I could move in here! The waterfall chimney is awesome (make sure to whisper).

My favourite installation from both Naoshima and Teshima. So many cool things inside the buildings but unfortunately pictures not allowed. I had to wait 45min for it to open so went to the nearby beach but so worth it!

The colored glass is a one way mirror so don't do anything stupid thinking other people can't see you on the other side 😂 My favorite part is inside the house where the glass flooring allows you to see koi fish 🐟 swimming below your feet.

One of the not to miss exhibits on Teshima. It is really perspective bending and is mixing installation art with more traditional paintings. I loved it.

It's a very nice old house completely renewed and some art pieces. It's a collaboration between artist Tadanori Yokoo and the architect Yuki Nagayama... The best art installation in Teshima. *it's not allowed to take pictures inside the museum.

I initially thought this place was called the cuckoo house and it certainly lived up to that name! Lots of interesting artwork, in a quirky setting. The tower was pretty amazing, as was the toilet! The lady at the front very kindly bent the rules for us as we had turned up a few minutes after last entry which is 30 minutes before closing time. We are glad she did. ありがとうございました!

This house is a beautiful building that houses some amazing works of art. The building is quite well built and the architecture style is truly special. The art is quite unique and their is a shop across the street from which one can buy souvenirs! This is one of the coolest museums on the island and a must for anyone traveling to Teshima to view the art!

This was definitely the coolest place on Teshima island. Loved all the installations.

I don't quite see the connection of this exhibition with the island. Agree with some other comments that the male gaze towards women is not comfortable.

One of the best museums ever!! Must see in Teshima island! Only allowed to take photos in the garden area but you should enjoy the big surprises for sure!

Very in-your-face type of art. Provocative. A bit hit or miss depending on whether you like the style or not. A couple of really cool elements. Wouldn’t go out of my way to see it, but definitely worth a visit when in the area

Old house turned into a museum! Lovely but small collection of art work. Loved what they did with the toilets and koi pond!
