Meh, been to over 50 climbing gyms around the world and this one is by far my least favourite one. Came here for a friend’s screening of his climbing documentary and checked in at the front desk. We asked a couple of questions to the staff and all three of them were completely clueless and had no idea when the event starts and where it would be held at the gym. It’s as if they don’t communicate with each other. The staff served “minimum wage, minimum service” vibes. Not friendly at all. Also, they never took the time to tell us where the lockers and washrooms were. Just basic orientation was lacking. MANAGEMENT PLEASE TAKE NOTE. Some of the non-climber parents were not watching their kids running around the mats and they all gathered in a corner to have their coffee chats. It’s extremely frustrating when I have to be the person to tell the kids to be careful. WHERE ARE THE STAFF? Y’all need to have at least two people on the floors at all times. I paid to climb, I didn’t pay to watch the kids and get into an argument with parents who know nothing about safety and climbing etiquette. IT’S NOT A DAYCARE. Slab wall was fun, not all climbs were consistent in terms of grading. Some V5s had weird sequence, some moves on certain climbs didn’t make sense. Holds were dirty which I don’t mind, I actually like them. Some Bonuses: Kilterboard, crack climbing wall and treadwall. Safe to say, I won’t be back due to the bad experience.

I’d like to start by disclaiming —I visited this gym three times, twice during competition periods. The staff was always friendly, attentive, and helpful. The gym is quite large, boulders, top rope, as well as lead routes are available. The area is spacious. The washroom and changing room is a shared space for all genders. There’s is an area to wash your feet. I must confess I found this quite novel. Nevertheless, I was repeatedly flummoxed by my inability to acquire a bagel with cream cheese. From what I gathered only certain members of the staff are qualified to “cook” food. What I couldn’t comprehend was by what schedule these highly trained individuals abide by. The first time I attempted to order a bagel with cream cheese was around 8:30 am on November 23rd. I was told the chef comes in at 9:30. A day later, I arrived around 10:30 and was told that no employe capable of making a bagel with cream cheese would be coming in that day today. I’d like to add that pre-prepared cold food was readily available. I found the whole ordeal somewhat comedic.

This is the best “all-round” activity for any 5 year ild. The little guy loves it and is dedicated to conquering all rock-walls, strengthening all if him . He now goes once a week and the staff are amazing in safety and hospitality as well as giving helpful instructions without even asking. It even has a food counter and sitting area to take a break in, or wait for the kids (or spouse) Washrooms are spotless and hygiene. Lots of different challenges for all ages. Just a great place.

Great place, Boulderz is great at using their space! I remember coming 7 years ago and there was still a lot to do, coming back now, they have a huge fitness area, a comp wall, and a second floor above it for horizontal climbing. They have crack climbing which is very rare, and there is a realistic rock at the front used to simulate outdoor climbing. I would love to see more gyms use rock without holds like Boulderz. Overall, there is lots to do and many boulders. The boulder routes look relatively dirty, I've seen white holds completely turn black from shoe scuff, so it makes me wonder how often they change the routes

Spacious bouldering gym with a variety of interesting routes from arch way overhangs to comp walls to a long traverse wall. Didn’t try the roped climbs but there also seems to be a variety of routes there as well. Some bouldering walls can be topped out on, but it would also be nice to have a few down climb holds as well especially for steeper angles. Mats are a bit stiffer and flatter on falls, so just be aware when jumping off. Staff are friendly and it’s large enough that it never gets too crowded (we went on a weekend morning). Good climbing gym for those in the west-end and I will definitely be back when I’m in the area!

First time here. New to rock climbing. Great first time experience. Staff member Will was great with helping us out and giving us the introduction/how to start on the auto-balay. I thought it was fairly price. Also willing to deduct $25 day pass (shoe/harness rental 8 included) off $45 two week promotions. If you decided to come back within those two weeks. Definitely would come back. Also had on site rock climbing shop for any gear you need to get started.

The gym has more than enough routes for bouldering, competition bouldering, top ropes and lead rope. They also have a training area which satisfies both modern and old school climbing. The -1 star part is that they are often short-staffed. They are all professional but you may expect a long queue.

I took my 5 year old son here. He had a blast and I had a blast watching him! Fun kids section, along with plenty high walls for kids to climb! He got the hang of using the automatic pulleys within minutes... The place is clean, well-kept and they change the patterns regularly. Friendly staff too. We got a good training session when we got there. Highly recommend this place!

Great rainy day play for your kids! Boulderz has an amazing kids area where they can boulder or climb! My kids 7&3 loved it! There is a slide to get from the top to the bottom. They climbed for 2 hours! We will be back again for sure!

Spacious gym, but they don’t really wash their holds so they’re quite dirty and worn out. There’s a lot of chalk everywhere so it doesn’t seem like they clean the mats often. They got loads of top ropes but limited amount of boulder problems. They got no assisted climb down holes so you gotta use the holes around you to get down which can be quite unsafe. Bouldering problems are just localized to the middle of the gym and a little bit off to the right. Clean bathrooms, and options for food and drinks are great. Staff are really friendly and proactive and making sure you’re having a good time.

Friendly staff, very nice setup with food tables and hand washing stations outside of the climbing area. Was really impressed with the variety - kids bouldering area to a slide, easy top rope through to impossible (to me) climb options, some with auto-belay, spaced around the gym. Huge variations of sloping, angled walls. Hanging rings (Olympics style), machine rolling wall, machine angled, coloured wall, bouldering walls. Lots of floor padding, thoughtful benches. A shop.

Love this climbing gym, they frequently reset the walls and I think it’s fairly graded. Friendly, welcoming and clean environment, with a great community and even better staff! Plus, I had a small car fire in their parking lot, the staff was quick on their feet, they pointed out the equipment, helped me out, checked on me and gave me tea to calm me down after I extinguished it 🥰 10/10 climbs, 10/10 fire safety lol

It was my first time rock climbing and I had an incredible experience! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, offering guidance and encouragement throughout my climb. I was impressed by the variety of routes available, with plenty of options for beginners like me, as well as more challenging paths for my friends who are more experienced climbers. Everyone had a blast!

This is my favorite place to bring my 4 year old daughter in Toronto! Coming here has been a positive and empowering experience for her and she has gained a ton of confidence in herself. All the people that work here are knowledgeable, super nice and always make us feel very welcome. The routes change pretty often and everything that I'm able to climb is really fun. You can tell they put a lot of effort into every aspect of this place so it can appeal to a wide range of people. I can't say enough good things about Boulderz!

Great way to challenge your muscles- there is a wide range of climbs for various difficulty levels. It's not only fun to climb but also watch people take on difficult climbs- super impressive. The gym has a very welcoming atmosphere. Shoes and harness can be rented out with the day pass for about $35 and you can extend this pass to a 2 week pass for another $4ish.

This is the largest climbing gym I've ever set foot in with a variety of boulder routes, as well as top roping (with a partner or auto-belay). The routes are updated often, which keeps things fresh, and there are grades for every level of climber. It's also great that they have a traditional strength training gym, too. The staff are super helpful and friendly. This community is phenomenal.

Decent spot with a good variety of climbs. Loved their traverse wall, the comp wall and the main wall problems were pretty fun! There wasn’t any air conditioning or air filtration in the gym, and it was pretty hot the day we went. The mix of no AC and no air filtration when it was ~35 with humidity out made for a nice mix of muggy chalk air. I also felt like a lot of the holds hadn’t been well taken care of on the main walls. Everything was extra slick and it was hard to establish well on most moves. The comp wall was fine, though, which seemed to use much newer holds! I’d go back the next time I was visiting that area on a cooler and dryer day!

SO MUCH FUN!! The starting package is a great value and it really helps you solidify your choice on whether this is a hobby you want to take on. The culture is very friendly and supportive. I recommend beginners to start with the side wall climbing on the second floor (yes there’s a second floor), where you can practice falling from a sage height and you don’t have to fight as much against gravity since your climbing sideways rather than up. All the employees are friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended this place!

Probably one of the best gyms that I visited in the evening on the weekend. It was empty and had a variety of skilled climbs. They have top rope, auto belays and Bouldering. Also have a cute kids section for the kids to climb and slide down.

Kids of all ages and adults of all fitness levels. The staff were very friendly, the food was good and the kids had a blast for 4 hours!

Nice climbing gym with a special area for children. Auto belay, top rope, lead, bouldering, traverse, etc. Training area with weights, treadmill, spinning bike, rowing machine, hangboards, etc. We found memberships and pricing a bit tricky, but most of the staff were willing to guide us through to get the best deal. There is no charge for rentals for children under 4.

This is a great place to get into bouldering. The beginner level challenges you, compared to other climbing centres where the beginner level is really easy. The space is also really big, with areas for working out and practice, as well as a kids area and party room. There’s also a small restaurant located inside with parfaits etc. the staff are also very helpful and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit for all age groups.

Great gym. Gold membership is ~$85 a month and includes 1 free guest pass per month and 10% off food, beverages, and retail. Setters frequently change boulder routes and have a great mix of problems

I love boulderz, great staff, amazing facilities. Not impressed with the youth rate. Only Kids under 5 get a reduced rate. Was hoping to share climbing with more youth but at $25 per entry that simply is unaffordable.

Really impressive facility, it's huge. The staff seem cool so far. If you want a really wide variety of problems to work on, this is your place. The changing rooms and washrooms are clean, and there are lockers that your can bring a lock for.

This is not a family friendly gym. I used to love climbing here. I have an 18 month toddler, so my partner hangs out with him while I climb. Today, we were turned away and told that my family could not spectate. We could however pay $25 for my toddler to "climb". Obviously he can't climb, he's 18 months old, he would just hang out on the floor and drink his water. We've been here quite a few times, I've never had this problem before. My family has always been allowed to come in and watch and we've never had to pay. This was a sad and unfortunate experience, it felt very much like a cash grab. Virtually every other gym in the city allows this, recognizing that kids under 4 basically don't climb and that having accessible and family-friendly facilities is a positive thing. So we're never coming back. I'm left so saddened by this experience and disappointed that this is the policy boulderz is taking for young families in the climbing community.
