This is my favorite place in town to go! There milkshakes have always been the best in town and the store is upgrading everyday it seems! Today I had a pleasant surprise when I went in, they had 3 arcade mechanics that cost nothing to play! Not even a quarter! Last time I was there they only had one mechanic. I got the orange creamsicle milkshake (freakshake) and it tasted so good totally worth the $10!🍨❤❤❤

***Edit: I felt the need to edit and update my review following a recent drop in quality of service. My family and I have been to Goblets and Goblins about 4 times before and had great times. But hopefully our recent visit was an off day and not a sign of things to come. The wait for our food to arrive following our order was an hour. This was not a peak busy time, it was a Sunday afternoon. The food itself was okay, the biggest notable change food wise was the fries seemed to have changed, which was disappointing (I talked those up to few people). I myself had also had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with the highest level of hot sauce, which was presented as a challenge of some sort. The sandwich itself was alright. There was talk of free ice cream for finishing it with a certain time. But no one checked in on us to verify anything, so I never got any. A chef did come out to see how it was, which was appreciated. Im pretty easy to please, I don’t expect to be waited on at all times and coddled. I’m leaving my original rating and review below but it does feel like things have changed in such a short period of time that I hope it reaches the right person to avoid any further degradation. ***** My family and I had lunch at Goblets and Goblins and it was a fantastic experience. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating, taking care of any questions or requests we had. The food was also really great, the smash burgers were delicious. The fries were stand outs especially, with a crisp texture and great seasoning. My daughter absolutely loved the mac and cheese, and she can be a bit of a picky eater. While we didnt partake in any games, the selection is vast and has options for just about any genre. We will definitely be visiting for many game sessions

Lovely place! A great spot to spend a couple of hours with friends, on a date or with family. We have been coming here for about a year, they have a great selection of drinks (including allergy sensitive options) and there are some great unheard of games. Milkshakes are also fantastic and a good set up. Most people don't know about it downtown so it's really a gem of a spot 😊

I can't say enough good things about Goblets & Goblins. The atmosphere is every geek/nerd's dream, and even if you don't vibe with that, it's still welcoming for anyone of any age. Their music choice is also top notch - from The All American Rejects to the Lion King soundtrack - it's all head boppin' goodness! On top of being a board game cafe/restaurant with a great selection of games, their food is actually delicious with big portion sizes and fair pricing. My personal faves - the chicken sandwich, smash burger and fried cheese curds. My bf's faves - unicorn milkshake and poutine. Fun local sodas with interesting flavours too! The staff are always incredibly friendly and make you feel like you're amongst friends. Don't sleep on their events either. They're planned out and thoughtful, and great fun for anyone. We personally went for all 3 LOTR trivia nights and had a blast. Perfect balance of challenging and fun! There are lots of events suitable for anyone, from competitive puzzle nights to DnD camps. It's a great way to get the community together. This is me and my boyfriend's go-to on chill dates for delicious food and a good time. (Photos from 2 different visits, the pot pie, Lembas bread and cocktails were LOTR night exclusive). In my dreams, their Lembas bread would be available regularly!

Pretty Awesome Milkshakes!! Presentation is awesome and tasty as hell! I got the Creamsickle Milkshake and even the milkshake itself tasted like Creamsickle. And YES, that's a full ACTUAL Creamsickle on top - AWESOME! Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the price - it is a little pricey in my opinion, but as a treat?? Perfect.

Wonderful location to cozy up with some friends and nerd out! The decorations are awesome, the staff is friendly, and there's a great selection of board games. My favorite thing however is the layout - I don't want to leave after sitting down.

Great atmosphere and really wonderful service!! Love the idea of this place and just having a place to hang out and play with friends or family, not in the house was fun. The "No bad days" milkshake was super delicious and like a whole meal itself. The other food was very basic and not the best, but perfect for a snack while you play whatever games you want! I will definitely be going back!

Loved visiting this place with a friend today. Such a vast selection of games, drinks food and great staff who can guide you through their menu and games. An amazing way to spend a weekend evening now that it's getting colder outside. Will definitely be revisiting with a bigger group. Reservations during weekend would be a good idea.

The owners are wonderful and kind, the atmosphere is welcoming and cozy and they’ve got a great and growing collection of games. One of my favourite spots to go with friends, the menu is a lot of fun (especially the milkshakes) and has quite the variety. Whether you want a coffee or a cocktail they’ve got you covered. Keep killing it, will be coming back again and again!

Dined in this past Saturday evening with a couple buddies. We were brought to a table within minutes, and seated with menus. Was told by wait staff they'd be back in a few minutes to take our order - 45 min to an hour passed before coming back to our table, and nearly the same for the food to arrive. Atmosphere was rather loud given the day and time, so it was hard to flag anyone down. The table next to us (who sat down 10 min after us) were asked twice if they were helped, before we were even remembered about. Please be more attentive to customers. Maybe provide tables with a booklet of pencil games like Tic-Tac-Toe to pass the time? Food made this rating a 3-star!

I came in to show them how to play Genesis and they were super kind. Got a vanilla latte and actually finished it. Lol. I loved the vibe of the place. Definitely a good place to enjoy your favorite events.

Great place for boardgame, TCG, TTRPG, and various other game activities. To start, the owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They make efforts to ensure guests feel comfortable in the shop. Food and drinks menu is creative and often fits the season. Milkshake for summer, pumpkin related items for fall, etc. They're also very generous with the portion and fits the price reasonably. Game selection is average. Most of the big-name boardgames are available, though some lesser known indie titles may be missing. Their game library is growing nonetheless. For TCG, they have a pretty massive collection. The store often hosts various events for the community. Kids camp, trivia night, game tournament are just some examples. Overall this is a store I recommend to my friends, and have been revisiting regularly.

Great place to hang out and play games. I only stopped by for a few minutes but there are a plethora of board games to play. Not to mention cool drinks that are freshly made. I also witnessed a D&D tutorial being taught to some kids in the back, who seemed to be having a blast!!! I will definitely comeback for some games another date.
