While out for a leisurely walk, we stumbled upon a Mexican restaurant with modest expectations. However, to our pleasant surprise, the experience turned out to be perfect in every way - truly authentic Mexican cuisine at its finest! We decided to make a special request for a huarache with nopal instead of the usual tortilla, and the staff and owner kindly accommodated our preference. The result was delightful. Overall, we have nothing but positive thoughts about this place. The food, the service, and the hospitality were all exceptional. We highly recommend this gem of a restaurant

If you want to find the best margaritas in Toronto you have to go to this place, their cocktails are amazing! And also their food is really good too, definitely there’s a good relation price-quality. I’ll come back absolutely!

Authentic Mexican in the neighbourhood!! Went on a Thursday night and wasn't crowded. Friendly staff and good food. Rumchata was great! And cactus tacos (added pastor) also did not disappoint!! I don't often see cactus around for Mexican cuisine. It was a treat. Green sauce was delicious with a hint of kick. Red was VERY spicy. Superb if you're into it! I ended up mixing a tiny dollop into the green sauce and it was perfect to my tastes. Came with a party of 2. Most tables in the front look good for 1-4. There was a reserved party of 13 in the back but I could not see how the setup was but it's nice to know it's an option in future if I'm with a large group. (Wet burrito in the background of the photo, portion was MASSIVE).

The saudero and bistec tacos topped with Oaxaca cheese are very authentic and delicious. We also had the enmolades, tasted sweet and savoury, reminded me of my time in Oaxaca City! The staff were incredibly friendly and we had a really great experience.

Delicious and authentic Mexican food. It makes you feel as if you were home, the horchata is absolutely delicious and the service is excellent. Congratulations!

One of the best spots in the city! If you want to try real Mexican food I highly recommended to visit them. Go for the Huarache 💯/💯 taste like Mexico City food 🥘, also las Enmoladas 💯/💯. The prices are very good 👍

Had the enmoladas. Probably one of the few that really made an “on-point” enmoladas in the city. The right consistency that has a great balance of sweetness, nuttiness and smokiness. Highly recommended when you are in the neighbourhood.

Authentic food, good portion sizes and the cocktails were delicious! We really enjoyed the service too. Our server gave us a bit of background on any regional dishes she served, which felt extra special. Her cocktail recommendations were also on point. We loved this place so much we were back the next day. Will add photos on our next visit. Try the guacamole, it's the best I've had in the city

I loved it here. The food is authentic and delicious. I found it walking by at random with my wife and am I glad we went in! I love Mexican food, and having lived in LA and Vancouver I had found Toronto Mexican food sub-par. Not anymore. This place is special, I had Enchiladas and my wife Pozole and both were about the best I’ve ever had. The service is also outstanding, with ridiculously friendly and welcoming staff that just make you feel right at home. I will be going to no other Mexican place in Toronto, and if you’re reading, neither should you!

We arrived for the first time hoping we would find a place we would love. We were seated and greeted but waited a whike until she came back . Then after 15min of reviewing the menu and all the cocktails she finally came back to the table ..Not sure why it took so long there were only two people in the place . ANYWAYS then we were told the bartender is late for work so we cannot order cocktails if we wanna wait another 15 or 20 minutes he might arrive lol well we already waites 15 minfor a drink We were going to walk out but figured mayne he will show up lets eat so ordered two Coronas and a shotlto hold us off for the bartender ..We got our food Tacos were good but cold and 49 minutes later still no bartender 🙁 We read great reviews on the leslieville group and this was definitly not the same place .So awful especially for a new buisness in the area .Hope they do better

Nice food, but the cocktails wow! there are amazing! The owner told me that he created different cocktails with different mezcals. As a Mexican I can say this place is fantastic and original!! I tried all the cocktails and I loved them!! If you are looking for something new and nice, this is the place for you.

I went with my partner at Yonge to buy 2 pozoles. It was too cold, it was not heat it at all. It is a safe food risky to sell food which is out of the temperature danger zone. I left the comment because it’s the same logo you have(cantaritos) at Toronto’s market container near by Yonge and Dundas square. Just to clarify if that location is not yours they are using the same brand and logo. Careful!
