An establishment such as a hair salon's key feature to gaining a customers trust and loyalty, is without a doubt their consistency in their service. Which is why I am posting a review after my third visit. I am very strict about my hair and the style that I want it to turn out. I have been to different places but it wasnt quite what I wanted but in the three times I came here, my hair turned out to my liking every time. To begin with, their website is extensive and informative. I went through their information, team members, different services, and eventually I booked my appointment for a short haircut with Julia. I got to the salon and as soon I entered I was greeted very warmly and I felt very welcomed as a new customer. The layout of the unit is well done and pratical. Seating area in addition to a coat hanger right at the entrance, beside the reception desk. Then the salon lobby and at the end hair washing stations. I received a very in depth consultation about what haircut I want, what the hairstylist Julia suggested, what the proposed haircut would look on me, etc. Evan (one of the founders) was also present in the consultation which made me not only feel extra welcome and valued as a customer, but also displayed the team's friendliness and professionalism. After we came to a decision, Julia washed my hair and got started on the haircut. I was very surprised that a complete hairwash and blowdry was included in their service. Julia was clearly highly skilled and trained. She was very kind and checked up on me and the status (whether its satisfactory or not) of the cut periodically. She was also very patient with my questions and gave me detailed answers and information, while also keeping me in the loop of the progress of the haircut throughout the different steps. Each time I come here my experience is nothing short of amazing and I am highly satisfied with their consistency in providing high quality service. Thank you!

I've been going here regularly to get my haircut since I was introduced by my friend. The staff is very kind and friendly, taking that extra step to make each visit feel special. Personally I'd recommend Luxe, she's been my go to! Professional, incredibly skilled, and delivers every time. From touch-ups to trying new styles she's got you!

I'm so happy I found Haven! I really needed a haircut, which I'd been putting off for months since my last (awful) experience elsewhere. I have curly hair so I have had my share of bad cuts. Finally I decided to book with Julia and I'm so glad I did. She took the time to understand what I was looking for and gave suggestions where I needed them. I went to Haven for the first time today and I felt compelled to leave a review. My experience was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this salon. I made an appointment to have my roots touched up and a blow out with Evan. Evan was amazing. He took the time to talk to me and figure out exactly what I was looking for. He even adjusted the appointment on the fly to a root and refresh to make sure I had the best experience possible. I was impressed with his attention to detail and honestly it was just a fun appointment! The atmosphere in the salon was friendly and welcoming. I am absolutely in love with my colour and the blow out was perfect as well. All in all, an easy 5 star review for a 5 star experience.

I went in for my second visit at Haven salon and saw Hugo for highlights. He listened to what I wanted and was very thorough with explaining to me what I should expect with the type of hair colour and texture that I have. He took his time and the result is wonderful. I’m very happy with the service and would definitely recommend this salon.

Just received my second cut from Julia, she is a master of her craft! She once again took the time to understand what i was looking for, what I liked and disliked about my current haircut, and gave great suggestions to enhance the look such as layering and texturizing. She takes her time and shows great attention to detail in efforts to produce the perfect hair cut! If you have curly hair do yourself a favour, and book an appointment with her, she truly is an expert in curly hair!

I first noticed my friend Lindsay's hair looking particularly sleek, and it felt great to the touch. I wanted that for myself, so despite the fact that I live in East York, I asked for a referral. I couldn't be happier with my new hair home. I was greeted by friendly faces and immediately inspired by the hair colour genius that I saw (I've never had colour, and I've never felt this way before). Julien was amazing and said my name correctly (SO many people mispronounce it) and we were off to the races. His energy and passion were infectious, and the the overall vibes of the salon were great-it was clear that it was a non-competitive and affirming queer space, and that makes all the difference as a client sitting in the chair. I trusted his expertise and he checked in regularly in the process. I felt completely comfortable in his competent hands, and he didn't try to push product at all. He is probably the first stylist I've ever met who went with my "less is more" belief of my hair and styling-without any judgment at all. I could tell that he was really trying to work with me, and I was also moved by his attention to detail. My hair still feels amazing, and I've already recommended people to him and the salon (regardless if they need a haircut or not) and it's just coming up on 24hours since I left his chair now. Evan has put a lot of work and love into the salon! My husband has been his client for many years! Always got great service and an amazing stylish haircut. My son also has been Evan’s client since he had hair!))) That was since he was 3 years old! Evan was always super patient and professional! Now my son is 7 and still is getting his haircuts only from Haven salon!))) I can strongly recommend this salon. Always pleasant atmosphere, attentive staff and great results!

I’ve been coming to Luxe for a couple years, and she always does a wonderful job. She does exactly what I look for when I come for a cut and makes sure I am completely happy before walking out. I find it really helpful that she takes the time show show me different ways of styling with my new cut and layers as well just as an extra bit of advice. Bonus, her head massages make me melt.

As a returning customer at Haven Salon, I absolutely love my experience each time. After a string of bad experiences at other salons (more length taken off than discussed during haircuts, heat damage while styling, lack of experience with curly hair, etc…) I am beyond happy to have found Haven. Evan listens patiently, thoughtfully consults with me about what he plans to do, checks in with me throughout the process, and gives me useful haircare tips along the way! I always feel at ease here knowing I’m in good (and very skilled) hands - highly recommend :)

I love Haven! I had lost track of Evan but am so glad we reconnected here! Haven's atmosphere is comfortable and inviting, and the staff is warm, knowledgeable and friendly. I went in initially for a hair cut and perm for wavy hair with Luxe. She is very professional and is honest with what will be best for your hair while balancing what the clients want- I was extremely happy with the end result! The haircut was exactly what I wanted! She's the only hair stylist that told me that I didn't need a perm because I already had natural waves (side note- I've suspected I had wavy hair for a while but I tried SO many wavy and curly hair style tutorials and none of them worked- it would dry completely straight). Instead of further damaging my hair with a perm, she taught me how to style it (worked so well!) and gave my hair treatments to make the hair healthier.

I'm very impressed with the location, the welcoming atmosphere and the professionalism among the stylists, superb! I had a cut, style and full color and I am truly impressed with Kristen at Haven. Her expertise during the coloring process was evident, and her recommendations proved effective. Kristen’s guidance and attention to detail are commendable. I appreciate her skill in achieving a beautiful blonde result. Highly recommend her services for a professional approach and with her experience you can't go wrong Haven gets an easy 5 stars from me. I came to Luxe today for my first haircut ever in Canada, and it was great. I was a bit nervous about trying a new style, but it turned out amazing. I showed her some photos of the hairstyle I wanted, and she provided honest feedback on what would suit me best. I appreciate that she took the time to help me find a better style before cutting. She actually gave me a better haircut than what I initially wanted. The experience was pleasant overall, and Luxe was so friendly and fun to chat with. She gave me some great styling and maintenance tips and I felt that she genuinely cared about my hair. Highly recommend her services!
