UPDATE
(Sept
9th,
2023):
Shortly
after
I
left
my
review
below,
there
was
a
massive
Glycol
flood
from
the
15th
floor
and
below
(afecting
my
unit
too).
I'm
honestly
tired
of
"complaining",
but
this
is
not
fair
at
all.
I'm
not
paying
thousands
of
dollars
to
live
in
a
construction
site.
See
pictures
attached.
I've
been
living
like
this
for
the
past
6
weeks.
The
flood
was
on
Friday
July
28th,
2023
and
they
haven't
repair
the
unit
at
all.
My
wife's
allergies
are
through
the
roof
because
everything
is
exposed,
there
are
no
walls
so
the
unit's
air
is
polluted
with
dust
and
dirt.
I'm
still
paying
the
same
rent
with
no
abatement
or
compensation
at
all
and
without
the
slightest
idea
of
when
they
will
be
repairing
the
unit.
This
is
absolutely
unacceptable
and
I
hope
RioCan/Pivot
will
make
us
whole.
PREVIOUS
REVIEW:
Front
desk
and
concierge
staff
are
great
-
they
did
a
good
job
hiring
nice
people
that
makes
you
feel
comfortable.
Other
than
that,
I
can't
say
my
high
rent
is
worth
the
hassle.
Moved
here
1
year
ago,
shortly
after
that
the
HVAC
system
stopped
working
completly
for
over
3
months.
I
had
to
use
2x
portable
heaters
to
"survive
through
Winter",
one
for
the
bedroom
and
one
for
living
room.
I
can
understand
things
out
of
their
control
can
happen,
but
with
over
3
months
with
no
HVAC,
ugly
hallways
because
of
the
on-going
repairing
and
people
entering
my
unit
multiple
times
while
I'm
in
meetings
working
from
home,
I
felt
the
'luxury
apartment'
I
thought
I
was
moving
in,
was
not
it.
I'm
a
very
considerate
person,
so
didn't
even
bother
raising
my
concerns
at
any
point.
Instead,
I
refrained
myself
from
inviting
family/friends
to
my
place
until
a
few
months
ago
when
things
were
"back
to
normal".
Yes,
it
took
a
lot
more
than
just
3
months.
However,
the
reason
I'm
writing
this
review
is
because
I
just
got
notice
that
just
after
1
year
here,
my
rent
would
increase
almost
$200
on
top
of
the
already
$2,500
I'm
paying
for
500sqft,
and
when
I
asked
to
negotiate
a
lower
increase,
one
of
the
reason
they
denied
my
request
was
because,
and
I
quote:
"the
loss
incurred
from
the
HVAC
issues".
Yes,
the
property
management
had
the
audacity
to
tell
me
that
after
my
wife
and
I
suffered
3+
months
of
no
HVAC
throughout
the
whole
winter,
and
hallways
looking
like
the
attached
for
multiple
months,
I
am
the
one
that
has
to
pay
for
it
for
the
next
12
months
when
renewing
my
lease.
Moving
is
stressful
and
I
just
went
through
that
12
months
ago,
so
unfortunately
I'll
have
to
pay
the
unfair
increase
so
I
can
stay
for
another
year.
Hoping
my
experience
gets
better...
