Amazing location and park to hike and enjoy a nice sunny day. Almost in our backyard and I never knew it was even in the city unit I started researching Google Maps. Parking right off Sherwood Avenue and free. The park starts with a great snow hill for the kids to play on. Then it goes down into a gorge with hills on both sides that does keep you warmer on a sunny day, no winds. Trail maps at the top of the hill, parking lot entrance and down at the bottom. The entrance has tables to sit and relax or some lunch. The tails go off in a few directions but you can choose to go clockwise or counter clockwise and still come back to the beginning. Some stairs on the trails and some wooden structures to cross. Perfect for all family members even you're doggies. The trails are all fenced off on both sides and I assume to keep the wooded areas from getting destroyed. But even though everything is fenced in, still very nice, very quiet and you forget this is still in the city. Many people hiking were wearing Ice cleats and maybe a great idea as I was slipping and sliding a few times with snow covering ice areas.

Sherwood park is a beautiful forest with off leash dog paths. This forest boasts massive trees that are over 120 year old. Despite the signs everywhere that say to keep your dog on the path people find a way to break the fences and let their dogs run all over “environmentally significant” areas. There is plenty of space on the many paths for dogs to run free! Wonderful place to for a walk and well maintained walkways. If you come to enjoy the nature please help preserve it and keep your dogs in the designated areas. There are wonderful informative signs throughout the forest.

Amazing long off-leash dog trail. Tons of room for them to run and explore safely in a beautiful forested setting.

Took the fam out for a lite walk after I did some home showings in the area and... though I lived in the 'hood for decades, found some great new paths, also very good if your a runner... scoped out a nice 5mile run for myself, lots to look at and nice differing terrain. For the family... there's a wading pool area next to the playground area... also happened upon a neat little ball park... mainly used by dog owners as a sorta free leash zone... all cool. Most of the pups are very friendly. We started from Sherwood worked our way to the paths and worked our way to Lawrence Park-Alexander Muir which also has a great outdoor circuit training setup. Along the way there's lawn bowling and a tennis club fyi... all in all the paths made us feel like we weren't in the city... quite peaceful... and all this while you're actually in Lawrence Park mid-town. Just beautiful... I just fear losing this hidden gem... but hey sharing is caring😉

Extraordinary park and nature trails. Ramp in off of Blythwood isn't too steep of a slope so good for accessibility. Picnic tables, playstructures, and splash pad in the summer all at the main park area. Woodsy trails double as an off-leash dog park. There are boardwalks with stairs around/over the nature preservation area. Several different paths to take. All in all a great way to get from Bayview to Yonge with much better scenery.

A nice green space uptown with beautiful scenery. A paradise for dogs and their owners. Dog owners claimed the ownership of the park proudly, do not go there if you do not have a dog (just kidding). It was too busy a park, people moved at different paces and in different directions, runners might huff and puff at you and dogs might sniff at you. Air was not fresh, smells from weeds, the creek and perfume scents. There were some pleasant floral scents near the washrooms, haha.

Excellent park for light hikes and heavier walks. There is a huge section of the park available for off-leash area for dogs. Parking is available at the end of Sherwood Avenue. There are some areas with inclining/declining (not too steep) but thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s close to Summerhill Market which makes it a perfect spot for picnic pickup too. There are a few spots within the park good for picnicking too. Can’t wait to go there again!

Tranquil space that weaves into Sunnybrook Park and Alexander Muir Park. Beautiful trails. Magic in the trees. Just listen to the sounds. Just be. Great for a morning, afternoon or early evening stroll. Family friendly. Can be slippery in the winter with the winding path and steps in the winter. It is a great place to take your dog for a walk along the various trails. There is even a dog fountain! There is a coyote alert, so watch out!

Beautiful area. Great off leash area for dogs and a great area to walk. You may get hugged by a dog or two. Gorgeous views. Each season is beautiful. Autumn is my favorite time in Toronto/Tkaronto.

Lovely big nature park in the heart of midtown. Beautiful during all seasons and also a dog park. Connecting to Sunnybrook Park as well. No winter maintenance or street lights at night so beware. Great place to walk your dog, take a hike/jog, and breathe in the nature!

Is a huge place to enjoy nature. Bring you dog for a great walk with off leash paths. There's older trees with more than 100 years old. Be prepared to walk a lot to meet the whole park, but worth!

Amazing park for hikes and to spendtime in nature. The path is not difficult but there are steps all the way. Hence it is a great workout. It is kid friendly as there are rails along the path. It also is dog friendly. However, there are no bike paths which is the only downside I see. It is a great park to enjoy fall colors and a bit of nature in the middle of the city. People can bike to the park and store them at the bike stop area and go for a mini hike.

My dog loves going here! There’s a bit of a walk from the parking to get to the stairs leading up to the off-leash trail area. Also be careful of gates left open or with holes are your dog may wander off the designated trails through those openings.

It is an amazing place to see the fall colours in the heart of the city. This is a good place for hiking if you are just starting. The trail's difficulty level is easy and kid-friendly. If you are a nature person you will love this place as it is surrounded by different types of trees and also will find an explanation board that will say what type of tree/plant it is. Also, the woods provide a great background to do a photo shoot at this location. If you are a photographer you would love to do fall photography. Lastly, if you have a dog you would love this place as you could unleash them.

It's mind boggling when you realize that this park is only around 500m away from the bustling intersection of Yonge and Eglinton. Lush green forest with a creek and pristine hiking trails, all available to not only humans but off leash dogs. Dog owners in other developed countries pay money to bring their dogs to a place like this.

Clean and good park nestled amidst a residential neighborhood. It even has a cozy little off leash dog path for you furry friends to run around. It’s a smaller area compared to other parks, but it serves its purpose

Nice dog park, great for hiking in midtown, a few parks are linked with each other, can walk from Yonge&Lawrence to Sunnybrook park, even to Edward Garden. Very nice wood pathway with stairs to take pictures. A lot of free running door but the are all behaved and friendly. It’s a dog leash free park.

This is by far the best dog park in Toronto. The park is located in a ravine, and when you get inside it really drowns out the hustle and bustle of the nearby busy streets. It’s a beautiful park with several trails where you can walk your dog off leash. It is located far away from the road, so you don’t have to worry about your dog running into any danger. No bike riding is allowed, making sure that your furry friends are safe. There are a few areas where there is access to water where your dogs can splash around. The park is beautiful in all seasons, is clean, and well maintained. I can’t recommend this place enough if you’re looking for a wonderful dog park!

Beautiful in every season! Perfect place to let your pup explore. It is forest-y but also has a creek for your pup to cool down on hot summer days. This place is especially special to us because our guys learned how to climb stairs here! The wide steps were perfect for him to learn!

Nice place for an evening stroll. Good for humans and pups alike. Not a biking trail though. There are stairs which can be useful if you need to do some cardio.
