Beautiful part of Toronto but...Lower Don trail section asphalt is in poor shape. Safety hazard in some places. If the city wants to encourage cycling, let's get it fixed! Watch out for blind curves and speeders (20 kph max).

Perfect place for a Park with so much foot traffic and or bikes traveling the trails of the Don River. Just needs some picnic tables for the summer months. We made our way from Riverdale Park West today and hiked along the Don River up as far as Pottery Road and so much has changed over the years. I miss that wooden structure that we used to walk or bike on that passed under the bridges. Now the trail takes you away from the 2 bridges and no sign of the past.

I give the park and the Lower Don River Trail 4 star for it's natural beauty and the way it's kept untouched at the heart of the city. But I got one star back because there are no seats or any washroom facility along the trail (unless we get further off the trail). I understand that we don't want to disrupt the natural environment by construction, though, at least seats along the trail at safe places and environmentally-friendly structures and washrooms do help to attract more people and the ones who can't walk long trails without getting rest along the way on seats. This good trail also needs more access by providing more entry paths to the park from all neighbourhoods around the area.

The bike trail from Canary District is a great cycling workout along the River. Many cyclists along the way. The trail is located within the city, and in the summer, it gives you a feeling of riding in the villages of India. Didn’t see any wildlife other than the insects that fly into your mouth and nose while cycling. Try to get done with the trail way before sunset to avoid the insects.

Great place to take your kids to ride. It is paved trails and it is very flat. I can't believe we saw deers too.

Ok, the Don Valley is awesome. A gift. 500 acres + of parkland, ravine. Loads of trails, nature and wildlife - saw two deer the other day. So 6 / 5 on the awesomeness of that gift. 3 / 5 on keeping it clean. Just picked up 2 jammed contractor size garbage bags full of tossed trash on 100 metres of Bayview Ave, adjacent to the Don Valley. ........ Don't Mess with the Don and amazing volunteers have taken over 275,000 lbs of litter out of the Don Valley ravine in 5 1/2 years.

Was good but being parallel to a main highway not sound proof. Also I could not find the toilets

Great trail for walking, running or biking when it's bright. Won't recommend going after sunset. It gets a little sketchy.

It’s now become a ritual to go on the David Balfour trail to the Brickworks and back on Moore Park trail (refer photo 3)

Not a park, per se, but the programming for some areas within the Don Valley Public Park. Right now there are sculptures which are reproductions of the gargoyles and other carved stone work that adorned many of downtown Toronto's historic office towers. A great place to stop and catch your breath while traveling down the Don Valley Trail.

This is not my first time riding this trail but this time i have to give a one star. The trail is not wide and I know people use this trail as a route to go up North. However, if you are planning to ride a bike with kids or have a picnic along the parks on weekend. Please be careful. Most bike riders on this trail are very aggressive, fast and rude. Beginners will be pressured to move aside and my kid got a verbal lesson from one of the rider. Not a relaxing trail anymore.

The Don Valley Park offers an impressive number of long trails that invite to hike along the Don River. You can walk for hours without getting bored or bothered by the surrounding metropolis. The only element that could be improved are directions. Sometimes, it's not exactly clear where the different trails are going and a map or plan placed at strategic points would be helpful for tourists and other visitors.
