One of the best place to visit this summer with family and especially kids. Its a beautiful location for a summer day out. There couple of parking spots, the one nearest to beach is little busy always. Mon-fri 5pm-9m is 6$ and sat/sun/holidays 9am-7pm is 12$. There is a free Sunscreen lotion machine. Beach is pretty clean and you can find people of all ages kids to elderly available in the park. Kids playing in the beach along with their parents, lifeguard is available and you can swim at the designated area marked by officials. Many are just enjoying the sun , few of them doing BBQ cooking and enjoying lunch with their families. Area is clean. Washrooms are available and clean too. We really had an amazing day and would recommend families with kids to bring them here. Sufficient tables available for families to enjoy food. I was really happy here with my family

Beautiful park, nice vista of the Bluffers, clean beach. Good place for family, you can also bring your own BBQ. Free sunscreen. Washrooms are clean and there are changing dipper table. There are 3 large parking lots + one boat launch parking. but they will be full quickly( go early) 12$ for whole day parking fee in weekends. 6$ for whole day in week days. No reservation required.

From mid-April to mid-October, Bluffer's Park and Beach's east parking lot will be closed to new vehicle parking on weekends (Friday to Sunday) between 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. The lot will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Originally owned by the Borough of Scarborough, the mainland at the base of the bluffs was transferred to the Metropolitan Toronto and Region Conservation Authority in May 1960 as part of the Waterfront Plan for Metro. The park was developed in two stages by the Authority. The first phase that satisfied a need for public open space, was officially completed and opened in 1975 at a cost of $2.2 million. Phase two, developed for $6.0 million and completed in the early 1980's, provided public launching facilities for recreational boaters and sailors, as well as open space for private yacht clubs. A total of 2.6 million cubic metres of lakefill was used at Bluffer's Park.

Went for a walk at Bluffers Park. Some areas were blocked off due to construction. Decent views of Lake Ontario and a pleasant easy walk around. Parking lot gets full quickly. Public bathroom is available l

It is the best beach in the Toronto area. I really enjoyed the ambience and the water was so clean as air. I will definitely recommend this park and beach for families and with your loved ones :)

This is a stunning park with nice multi-use paths, perfect for long walks or easy going bicycle rides to enjoy the nature around you. There is ample room for picnics with the family, although no campfires or alcohol are allowed. There is a bathroom facility in the park, as well as access to some beach areas of the lake. I'm not sure if swimming is permitted or not, but there were life-saving-buoys at certain areas. The water looked clear, and my cousins and I skipped stones at the beach openings. We didn't see any fish here, but there were a few people attempting to fish, and telling stories of big fish they caught in the area. We saw plenty of geese walking and swimming enjoying the day just as we were. We also saw a lone deer as we made our way closer to the bluffs. If you're looking for a great place to walk and enjoy nature, this will definitely be one my list. We visited during the weekday, so it was not too busy. It might be busier on the weekend, as it is a very beautiful area.

One of my favorite beach for summer in the city. Well maintained beach to visit, its a hidden gem in the city! Cleaned bathing station and washroom. You can also see geese walking and swimming. Ample amount of parking spot. Free parking 6AM-5PM and 9PM-11PM (Mon-Fri). Beach and the water is so clean and life guard is also there. Lovely place to enjoy the summer and the sun.

Amazing view with good crowd. Soothing to eyes. Had a great time here with friends and family. Loved how this is made and water’s so clear and clean. Boating experience was good so far too. But Its more of a one time go place or a place for people who want to have a relaxing day.

Amazing waterfront Beach area! It was recently renovated and so even though this was my first time there it was beautiful and obviously well maintained. There are picnic benches there and it is paved for biking and walking trails. There are also more rugged hiking trails where people were walking their dogs as well. The actual Beach area is relatively clean considering there was recent construction done. There was no garbage, just some leftover construction materials. Perfect place to hang out with family in the summertime and bring food or just go on a quick walk to enjoy the scenery. Me and my girlfriend went here on a Sunday afternoon and it was great. A couple of guys came out and played some live music by the water and we had an amazing time. Also there was a lot of free parking so driving there is not an issue.

I grew up in Scarborough, about a 20-minute drive from the Bluffs and it’s taken me until the age of 65 to visit. It’s absolutely spectacular. If I still lived in the area, I’d be walking through the park every day. Good, safe paths that lead to the stunning vista of the Bluffs, and the edge of the Lake. I went on a mild day in November and it was lovely and quiet but I can imagine that in the summer months, the park would be packed. Large parking lot and large washroom facility right near by.

A nice spot to go to anytime of year. Popular in the summer ofcourse with a long beach with blue flag designation but even in the winter, nice spot to walk the dog although dogs are not allowed on the beach. Would have been nice to have a dog beach area on the east end of the beach. Has public washrooms and also accessible by public transit using the 175 bluffers park bus from Kennedy station which goes all the way to the east end beach parking lot and does a loop back to Kennedy from there. Take advantage of the free parking and less crowds on weekdays before 5pm.

the beach itself was quite good, with some lifeguard monitoring the area. the washrooms however, are absolutely disgusting. two of them were filled with junk and toilet paper, and the entire place stank. quite a lot of pigeons as well. parking was free until 5pm when i visited on a weekday. the beach itself was very fun however! bring a volleyball

(Currently the beach is under construction, access to Beachpoint promenade is blocked off.) As of fall 2018, the area is open again, looking great, can't wait for spring!

Cool and refreshing park. One of the best free park that I have ever seen. Especially during cherry blossom season! People is packed during weekends so better go during weekdays to appreciate the nature and peacefulness of the place. It does not feel that it was situated inside a city. Great place for a long walk. you can spend the whole day here, a large area for walking with dogs, many birds are found right along the trails. You can find here cold climate during hot summer days. Highly recommend for families and friends. We will definitely go back!

Nice trails to walk on beside the lake with plenty of picnic tables to use for a leisurely lunch in the shade. Bring your own food, then relax on the beach. The washrooms could use updating, and the parking lot gets very busy (paid parking). All in all, a good place to visit with the family.

Absolute peaceful escapement nearby from GTA. Just an hour drive and u can spend your whole day there sitting by yourself or barbecue weekly family while playing outdoors too. Very small beach with no swimming allowed but this was better in mid of the viral world we have. One can sit peacefully and read or can trek all the way up to the little hills to enjoy the view (I didn't).

Park and the beach are very good. Giving 3 star because of its facilities. I haven't seen this bad washroom anywhere else in Toronto. Also, there was no water fountains in the whole area. No food vendors as well, except an ice cream truck. Pack your own food.

Beach is a bit dirty and very crowded. Parking is very limited. Buffers which is on the right side from the main entrance is better. Quiet secluded and nice view. Obviously not for loud parties. Not sure i would visit again

The beach itself is great ! The water is clean and beach itself isn’t to crowded. The only downside was parking . It’s extremely difficult to find parking and be prepared to wait . It’s better to arrive super early . You also need to make sure you download the parking app - which came in handy if you are visiting Toronto.

Bluffer's Beach, located along the stunning Scarborough Bluffs in Toronto, is a picturesque destination that captivates visitors with its natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere. This hidden gem offers a serene escape from the city, making it a popular spot for nature enthusiasts and beachgoers. As you arrive at Bluffer's Beach, you're greeted by the breathtaking sight of the towering cliffs that form the backdrop of the beach. The dramatic geological formations, combined with the crystal-clear waters of Lake Ontario, create a truly awe-inspiring setting. The beach itself boasts soft, golden sands that are perfect for lounging, sunbathing, or taking a leisurely stroll along the shoreline. It's an ideal place to relax and unwind while enjoying the soothing sounds of the waves crashing against the shore. Bluffer's Beach is well-maintained, with clean facilities and ample parking available for visitors. The beach area is spacious, providing plenty of room for families, friends, and individuals to enjoy their day by the water. Picnic tables and shaded areas are also available, allowing visitors to enjoy a meal or have a break from the sun. For adventure seekers, Bluffer's Beach offers opportunities for hiking and exploring the surrounding trails that lead to stunning lookout points. The panoramic views from the top of the bluffs are simply breathtaking, providing a rewarding experience for those who make the climb. It's worth noting that there are no lifeguards on duty at Bluffer's Beach, so it's important to exercise caution when swimming. Additionally, the water can be quite cold, so it may be more suitable for quick dips or wading rather than extended swimming sessions. In summary, Bluffer's Beach is a serene and scenic destination that showcases the natural beauty of the Scarborough Bluffs. With its pristine sands, clear waters, and stunning cliff formations, it offers a peaceful retreat for those seeking a tranquil beach experience away from the city. Whether you're looking to relax, explore, or simply admire the breathtaking views, Bluffer's Beach is a hidden paradise waiting to be discovered.

This is one of the most popular parks in Scarborough. Considering the crowd the parking space is limited (paid ) different timings for weekday and weekend (weekday 5PM - 9PM & Saturday Sunday full day is $12 CAD or $2CAD for half hour (this is as of June 25th 2023) . Can get very very busy over the weekend . There is a marina here and there are separate parking spots for truck with trailers (boats) . Picnic benches & tables are available .

I adore this beach. My experience on a Saturday: Arrive early to get the parking directly close to the beach otherwise parking available at the entrance of the park. Bathrooms available on site which is perfect. Lifeguards and big enough beach for all! Ice-cream truck was present too. The water was absolutely perfect today, and out on my paddle board the view of the Bluffs is just stunning.

I wish I could accurately describe how much joy I felt just by being here. I loved it soooooooo much! I wish I spent more time. It's great for picnics, hangouts, family time, picture and there's even a bbq area! I really loved it. Parking is paid for. Plus it gets a little windy/ cold. Be sure to go with a jacket so you don't regret and you can actually enjoy the view.

Love this beautiful park in Scarborough! So many wonderful views, unique, inspiring scenery. Unfortunately some people keep making fires and damaging grass roots. I don't think that people who do it read the reviews but maybe people who take such good care of the park do. Please can you post signs to educate people asking them to refrain from making fires? Thank you!

This place has so much potential but it is not well attended to. The beach front is gorgeous but there not much of signage to guide you around. There were several floodings and I am not sure water from the ponds are totally safe. Overall it is a lovely place which could use better management.

Bluffers Beach Park is good for a picnic. Beach swimming is allowed here. It's a huge area ideal for walking, jogging and barbecuing with friends/families. Restrooms/change rooms are available. And a restaurant is present on the other side. Food trucks are also accessible here. Ambient parking space too.

Really amazing beach sandy shores excellent view. There are lots of picnic facilities with picnic tables and shaded areas. Always a busy spot and getting parking is the most tricky part. This is the perfect spot for a one day picnic. There are boat launching pads and the nearest parking to this is with location ID: 703 where there is enough trailer parking and few regular parking spots for regular vehicles. Parking payments can done using the Green parking app or using the machines located in the spots. spot 702 is the biggest of all the lots and is 10 to 15 min walk to the beach. Spot 705 is very close to the sandy beach area and gets filled faster. Plan your visit early to get the parking spot. The beach has food trucks and ice cream truck located closer to the beach and also to the picnic area. The surroundings are clean and well maintained. TTC runs services connecting to the parking area nearest to the beach.

Had a super wonderful day at this beach. I did hear mix reviews about this place but I think it depends on when you visit it. I visited this place in peak summer (July). It was crowded but wonderful. The water is clean and the connectivity to this place is great. Even though there were a few food trucks, one might want to pack enough food and water as I did not see many options. Had a lovely Saturday!

It was very crowded and parking was not available. We couldn't enter by car to the area park and beach parking. Parked on the main road and walked around 2 km to reach the park and the beach. It's a beautiful park, the water was very clear and could even take a dip if the water wasn't that cold.

Beautiful property with a number of different areas. There is a a beautiful sandy beach, a walking & jogging trail, the Bluffers Restaurant and Dogfish Pub downstairs the restaurant right on the marina as well as access to the Scarborough Bluffs. The property is really beautiful in the winter, however you may not be able to spend very long as it gets really cold being next to the water. Lastly, the restrooms are closed in winter so keep that in mind.

Nice place for a barbeque laced summer weekend. It allows and has specified BBQ points. Clear water with least algal bloom. Constant presence of security van moving around, gives you sense of peace at an otherwise busy place. The more you go towards twin ear shaped Peninsula, the more you enjoy lake, greenery and lots of angles for photography.

Continuing my sprint & swift trips to locations around Etobicoke, this weekend happens a stroll on Bluffers beach. @ Scarborough, the descend drive lends a welcoming picturesque view, colourful depending on time and season of your visit. Another beach and park location that calls for a personal visit as not enough words to describe the same. A few photos may suffice and fill the void presently. Alike humber bay , this too is another end of same shoreside but distinct in offshore activities. Lots of yatch activities present and wide span both for walk and natural picturesque photography. Short of time, didn’t visit the beach side but roamed around the rocky coastline and local birds abode nearby. Enjoy.

It’s wonderful experience to be here but sadden you see the cleanliness of beach. People should take their responsibility to clean it at the same time bad experience with the police who is busy with just issuing tickets to public, they have arrangement of the booking online but no arrangement to when a person is leaving. Should have good arrangement of Parking.

I decided to visit Scarborough Bluffer's Park this Easter Weekend and it was absolutely worth visiting. We were lucky to find parking. The view of pristine beach 🏖️, towering cliffs 🏞️, clear water 🌊 makes this a must-visit destination. I absolutely loved being here. It is almost impossible to find parking in summer s because of the beautiful beach and warm weather so be mindful of that. Spring is the best time to visit this destination because the weather is still a little cold so it is for us to get the parking.

Bluffers Park Scarborough is one of the fantastic picnic / family outing place on the shores of Lake Ontario. Equipped with picnic area, lawns, walk way, trail, beach, etc and the bluffs around. It is a place where you can spend and enjoy long time either with family, friends or even alone. The experience is different in different seasons and is enjoyable any time. There are also lot of photo opportunities for those interested. A must visit place, I would say; and surely once you go there, you will visit again and again.

  • 5/5 Arif R. 1 year ago on Google
It is a beautiful shore and view from the main beach area and the park area. There is also different view from the boat launch area restaurant side which has lots of rocks and boulders. We have been here long time ago until this past week. We tried on a weekend but we could not even enter any parking lot because they were full and roads were closed by cops. Then we tried to go on a weekday after work (around 6 pm) and unfortunately all parking lot entrance were closed. We were disheartened. Then we parked on the parking lot road for just about a few minutes to take some pictures from the restaurant side. One trick I was told to find space in parking (and free) is to go on a weekday instead of weekends if you have time. However, the beauty is more soothing during sunset. A must see for visitors and locals for sure. Note: I have given 5 out of 5 because of the beauty even though parking is a challenge here.

Lively place. Good for family/friends outings. There are few beach activities. But one needs to be careful about the cliff which is dangerous, keep yourself away from it. Other issue is limited parking spots and the parking is not free.

Such a beautiful sandy beach. We have always preferred it to the east beach at Frenchman’s. A lot of people say its a lovely secret in Pickering but its clear since the construction that with the new parking and picnic area this place will soon be even more busy than it already is! Just hoping they build some nice washrooms instead of the porter-loos and also that they allow a nice food truck or a mobile coffee shop to frequent the place too!

Bluffs are eroding but still looks grand. The upgrades to the park are great. Much better than what it looked like 30 years ago when I lived in Scarborough.

Great beach to take a nice long walk while getting your feet wet. Nice hidden gem in Pickering.
