This park is quite close to the residential area which allows them to hit out for a quick walk in the nature. I took a stroll around the complete length of the park, though it was winter and pretty cold outside. It was such a pleasant experience😍❀️ This is place would give a calmness to mind when you stroll around during any season. If you stay around this area during your trip. This is a must visit place for a stroll. May be some barbecue and picnic during the other seasons.

A very nice park which includes a playground for the little one (looks quite recent) with a sandbox and a splash pad. For the grown up there is an exercise area that I haven't tried but looks nice. Various trails with trees and opportunities to cycle around. There is a free parking although it tends to get busy on weekends.

Well maintained park in Scarborough area even when busy. Lots of places to picnic and various water play and playgrounds for the little ones. Also have the new exercise area for the big ones! Trails through the forests and even some tricking water falls. Didn't get to the dog park but it looked huge!! If you go far enough you might even see a deer 🦌! Parking has been an issue on long weekends or when there are events.

Various exercise equipment, water play, dog park, baseball field, football field, trail, etc. are well maintained, and it is a very suitable park for camping with family on weekends.

This park is a hidden gem with its scenic beauty and diverse offerings. One of its highlights is the fantastic 20 km bike trail, perfect for cycling enthusiasts who enjoy long rides surrounded by nature. Additionally, the park boasts a spacious dog park where our furry friends can run and play freely. Tennis enthusiasts can also take advantage of the well-maintained tennis courts available. For those who prefer a leisurely stroll, the park offers beautiful walking paths that provide a peaceful and relaxing experience. There are also ample picnic tables for visitors to enjoy outdoor meals amidst the serene surroundings. However, it's worth noting that obtaining permission is required for using the picnic tables. Families with children will appreciate the well-designed and engaging children's play area, which offers plenty of fun activities for kids. The park's location is also convenient, making it easily accessible for visitors. It's important to mention that while the park has MTB bike trails, it lacks winter maintenance, so they may not be suitable for use during the colder months. Safety is a priority here, as the park provides a strong security presence and surveillance, ensuring a secure environment for all visitors.Overall, this park offers a wide range of amenities and a picturesque setting, making it a great place to spend quality time outdoors.

The park is big and clean. There are a number of activities the kid and adults can do. Kids could play in the playground, a large splash kids, or play badminton on the green. There is even an areas with exercise equipment, and I saw a number of folks doing exercises. There is even a separate dog park, where the owners can take their leash off and let them run around. The washrooms are clean and plenty, and so is the parking spots, but you have to get there before 12. There was ice cream truck parked there the whole day, for the little ones to enjoy cold treats throughout. Folks could do BBQ, as there is plenty of space for grilling. A large number of picnic benches for families, to sit and eat food. They could even reserve from as many as 6 gazebos to do a little party outside. Plenty of places to take pictures, with beautiful flower flower beds in one area with a museum of sorts (i didn't investigate what was the small museum for). All in all a nice park with plenty of activities.

Unleashed play are for different size of dogs. Water/splash play area for children. Few exercises equipment to stretch your body and amazing open play area. Ample parking space and multiple sitting and relaxing zones. To get a small break from work and relax in between of trees, must visit!

One of the largest and well maintained parks I have visited in Toronto. Has large parking spots, but is usually fully filled up by noon time. There are some large picnic tables, play area for kids, a large splash pad and some trails around. Glad to discover this quite at the centre of Scarborough.

This is a colossal natural area. It has paved trails, lush lawns, ravines, and various types of trees, shrubs, and bushes. It, also, provides a natural habitat to numerous terrestrial and aquatic birds. Additionally, there is a huge children playground and splash pad to keep children busy and amused. To our surprise, we saw a couple of mini falls on the walkway that leads to Mccowan road. The water falls from 3 - 4 foot height with a roaring sound. (Please watch the video.) The Thomson Memorial Park is intended for trail users and picnickers. There are plenty of tables for families to enjoy their food, and some covered picnic areas for large groups; the picnic areas need to be reserved in advance. The parking lot near the entrance is huge and free. On a Friday evening, many spots were empty, so we had no problem parking our car. The washrooms, near the entrance, were clean and air conditioned.

2022 July 4.5β˜… Come to this park for its barbeque, picnics, playgrounds and soccer fields. There's public washrooms, ample parking and lots of green space in-between different designated areas. Lots of shade underneath the mature trees. Splash pad for those looking to cool off. Connected to other paths and this makes a great trail and stopping point. Public washroom. Ample parking. Great location.

One of the best parks in the city for family and community gatherings, clean and well-maintained. Our community, especially kids really did enjoy the fun and engaging event on June 11, 2022. On behalf of "AJR" Canadian-Uzbek Community, we thank the hardworking park personnel (and kudos to Brian!) for great support and service!

Fantastic Human and Dog park! This big park offers one side for enjoyable walking trails and one other side is an all fenced ranch style dog park with separate areas for different dog activities. The park is maintained very well.

Thomson Park in Scarborough is a great destination for families, and it was the perfect location for Aahil's birthday celebration. The park offers a variety of recreational activities, including playgrounds, sports fields, and picnic areas. The children at the party had a great time exploring the park, playing games, and running around. One of the highlights of the party was definitely the food. The beef bhuna from Chadnis was a standout dish, with its rich and flavorful sauce and tender meat. Everyone enjoyed the food, and it was clear that a lot of care had gone into preparing it. Overall, Thomson Park provided a fun and memorable setting for the birthday party, and the food was a major highlight of the event. I would highly recommend this park to families looking for a great place to spend a day outside, or to anyone looking to host a fun and enjoyable celebration.

Great playground, love the diversity of slides and a spider web. Highly appreciated to have mulch instead of the sand. Beautiful park with a creek and enough area for parking. Love!

This is always an excellent place to relax and spend the day with family and friends. Plenty of open space to play sports and a recent new addition of bikes to ride around. Enjoy the icecream from the truck at the parking lot. Plenty of play areas for the kids and lots of shady trees to picnic under.

To those who have not discovered this little oasis in the middle of Scarborough, you should check it out. I really enjoyed my time in Thomson Memorial Park. There are picnic tables and benches everywhere, playground for kids, covered roofs for gatherings, hiking trail, lush trees and plants and ponds. You will see and hear birds around, little red and black squirrels, etc. There is enough parking space and washrooms. If you want to unwind, enjoy a stroll, walk for exercise, read a book, have a little picnic, then this is a perfect place to be.

very good park and a very big one. Beautiful. Lots of area where you can have fun with the family. Had celebrated a birthday party and everybody enjoyed and loved it. Especially the kids have a good play area and splash pad. Dog park is also there. Saturday/Sunday is crowded so would advice to go little early. You can spend the whole day enjoying with friends and family.

Great place to have a picnic, a birthday party, or any celebration for an outside event. Permanents are easy to obtain. The only downside is that it gets overpacked, so you need to get there early, or you will not get a private area for your event or parking

A large park in Scarborough that has a lot to offer. Visit the Thompson Settlement House on site. A historic home that offers a look back at what once was. There is lots of areas in this park to relax, picnic or play. Explore the nature paths by bike or hiking. There is a large baseball diamond here. A small creek flows through the property. Generally a clean area with ample parking.

Great for taking a nice evening stroll. We always enjoy going inside the Scarborough museum houses, splash pad, and kids play ground. There is a big soccer field here and it is also good to stop by and watch people play. There are some exercise machines as well. Some people use those. We saw people doing family BBQ with propane stove as well. If you are planning to do that, please check if you need permission or not. Thompson park is also known for many festivals that happen here including Scarborough Ribfest.
