We've been ordering from District for 2 years and previously loved the food. The last two times that I've ordered the same dishes we always have, they've been made different and honestly taste so bad. I followed up and the waitress called the owner who said to ask for a refund through Uber. Obviously Uber Eats said they won't give the refund because it's not their fault it was made poorly. After that I tried calling the restaurant for 2 days and they didn't answer. The waitress initially told me that the cooks are different and they've had complaints. We ordered again today and spoke to them directly about our previous experience but we were told they can't communicate with the cooks because of a language barrier. Needless to say we realized that the cooks have changed and the food is not the same quality as before. An added bonus is the shrimp buried on my pepper tofu. As a vegetarian, this is another meal wasted. Denied a refund because the Manager wasn't available. So that's that. Unfortunately we lost our Pickering hot spot to poorly made food and bad customer service.

It was my 51 birthday and these people had no regard for their level of service. Just look at what they served the food in, take out containers, plastic cups for water and paper plates. I was so embarrassed. This establishment clearly caters only to the nightlife atmosphere. NEVER AGAIN😡

Great food, drinks and prices and atmosphere! Customer service was awesome! Overall love going there. My new local go to restaurant for West Indian Chinese cuisine! Pepper shrimp is my fav! Try it! Very nice patio too, spacious with great ambience!

Worst club ever, They don’t even take credit or debit card. They force u to pay atm with cash . I would highly avoid this establishment they are really not professional, at all now where is posted cash only?Where on the promotion for event says cash only? Ya would avoid this place, go spend your money with island mix. They respect the customer not district, they only want cash. The owner bald guy is very rude. I would check out island mix or tropical nights way before this place. This place only want cash must be front for drugs or something.

Been going here for a long time for their food. Food is always amazing. Their events/club scene is second to none. Amazing staff and great owners. I highly recommend going here to either party or eat.

We recently held our team dinner at District Lounge and couldn't have been happier with the result! Our group of 25+ people was a mix of kids and adults. They reserved a beautiful outdoor space for our meal, which was a delicious Chinese food buffet. When the weather got windy and chilly, they offered to move us indoors and we continued to enjoy the venue...complete with their DJ playing songs for the kids to dance and sing along to. The adults enjoyed time visiting, drinking, and dancing too. Honestly, we couldn't have asked for more as an end to their baseball season than partying it up at this venue!! The staff were available and helpful throughout the night. We met both owners who accommodated our every need. I know all of the families who attended plan to frequent their business again. Thank you for such a wonderful night!!!

I was incredibly disappointed by my experience last night. I have been to District before and enjoyed myself. It was the choice of DJ that ruined it for me. I came out to DANCE, not nod my head. The first DJ that was on between 11pm til after midnight was good, the guy that came on around 1am was awful. The music might have been good if he had shut up long enough for anyone to hear it. Also pretty hard to get into a song or find a beat when there’s no more than 20 sec of any song before switching to the next. We ended up leaving. Totally ruined my night. Very disappointed. My universal message to all DJs - people come to listen to music, not your voice; and anybody who likes to actually dance wants to hear more that just a sound byte of a song

Decided to head here for a Saturday night of dj jams and dancing; however, there was a special event with a very pricey cover change! Vodka / soda tasted like water , served by an unfriendly bartender! To top it off , my friend wanted to go to her car to drop off an item and apparently was told she couldn’t exit at that time 😡 Clearly customer services means nothing! I thought about this review for two days and decided I’d do it with the hope that management will see fit to make some changes so that it can be a place that provide a overall great experience. After years of Covid and not being able to dance, this was a breath of fresh air. Went with some girl friends on a Friday night; mature crowd, music was great, vibe was fun, men were respectful, danced with strangers, Loved it💯

It was a 90s themed party and the music was great, venue was clean and felt safe. Pretty big dance space as well, did not expect it to be that big inside. Overall a good, fun experience!

I ordered the fish and chips which I’ve had in the past and enjoyed. It always came with two whole square pieces of fish w fries. This time I ordered it and the fish was in broken up pieces that was mostly batter as if it was scraps that was fried. If this is how it’ll be from now on I wouldn’t order it again.

Went for an event and had a great time. The two ladies at the front doing coat check, Selina and Sarah were true pros. Really friendly and welcoming, they even had a sense of humour. Good experience.

Honestly I am actually disgusted with the service as per entering District on Sunday 19th February. My friend and I arrived at approximately 1.30am only to say hello to some family members as it was already late and everyone knows the music and drinks will be done within an hour. The girl at the front told us $30 a person for cover and it’s a mandatory coat check $4 per cost !! As ppl we have choices and the mandatory coat check was ridiculous, district will be compensate me if me coat is lost or mistakenly given to someone else. The $30 cover at that time was just ridiculous and the attitude that came with it. Before I entire I already spent $70!!! How is this right???!!! I go to high end places downtown Toronto I I have never had to pay such a ridiculous amount for cover even if I got there early. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Talk to your staff and set some guild lines. I know you are running a business but money don’t grow on trees.

This place I tell you… be careful of your bartender still. It’s nice at one point, but trust, certain bartenders will disrespect not only you, but your company. Patrons beware.

Witnessed Security bullying my cousin. Don’t support this venue. No appreciation for consumers. This was further proven after returning only to support Artist Performance & was confronted by the same security attempting to humble me in some odd way. The head of security is totally ego driven with zero de-escalation skills, which apparently management depends heavily on, so don't expect any return calls for concerned inquiries. A lost opportunity to show consumers a better face. Will never return

DISTRICT LOUNGE HAS BEEN AROUND FOR SO LONG AND I ENJOYED A LOT OF THE EVENTS AND THE SERVICE THERE BUT I’VE NOW SEEN THAT NO PLACE IS ABOVE INJUSTICE. THIS PAST WEEKEND WAS NO DOUBT A VERY BUSY WEEKEND WITH IT TRADITIONALLY BEING CARIBANA WEEKEND IN THE CITY. EVERY PLACE WAS HAVING EVENTS ALL THROUGH THE WEEKEND. DISTRICT LOUNGE WAS NO EXCEPTION. HOWEVER, THEY WRONGFULLY DOUBLE-CHARGED A WOMAN AND WHEN SHE HAS BEEN TRYING TO RECTIFY IT, SHE HAS BEEN GETTING THE RUN AROUND. IT’S NOT OKAY TO STAY QUIET. THEY HAVE MOST DEFINITELY LOST MY BUSINESS GOING FORWARD.

Went there last Saturday, first I paid 5 dollars at 945pm and I wanted to get some food and a drink but still had to pay and nobody was Inside. Secondly, the bar tender was rude starring and sloughing like she hates her job she had some black thing wrapped on her head. Third, the patio was not even available and therr was no food available.... and drinks was 8 dollars even for a beer, let alone a rum and coke with a small baby plastic cup for 8 dollars this place is a rip off. Only thing good was music at times.

Dance floor was finally open today after 15 months. Large beautiful patio with televisions. Parking was a bit hard to find so people were parking in the next plaza. Service was fast and friendly. Food was great as always!!

The Guyanese Chinese food here is excellent that I got as takeout. Decent portions and very flavorful. Recommended!

Very Poor customer service, served food in Styrofoam containers on their patio. Rumpunch made with cranberry juice and when I complained it didn't look appealing (never touched it) she took it away but still charged me for it. She was visible displeased and upset when asked to be refunded first a drink I never consumed. The food was OK, but the poor attitude and very poor customer service ruined the occasion. I will never recommend nor go back to this restaurant

Recently grabbed dinner to go. It was phenomenal! Spicy!!!! And so tasty. Servings were large. Staff was really sweet when we picked up our order. Don't sleep on this place! It's not just club food!!

Terrible dj Can't leave one song on for more than five seconds And then spends What's left of the song talking over it Terrible dj was definitely not worth thirty five dollars Legitimately couldn't even get a vibe going and he'd switch the song It actually gave me a massive headache And became extremely annoying There are multiple people walking around the club. Complaining about the d j and how annoying it was Women in the bathroom were pissed I actually can't believe I paid thirty five dollars to get into the club that night to not be able to listen to the music Hearing him scream over at the music the whole time about people's birthdays the entire time !!!! My sisters and Mom were celebrating our Papa's 100th birthday has he lived. He was a wonderful man and he would have enjoyed the atmosphere, the people, the music and the gorgeous weather. Thanks to District Lounge what could have been a sad moment turned into an awesome time spent with family.❤

I ordered Uber eats from this place, 50minutes later I get notification that the order is cancelled. These people only care about their money especially the big ogre looking guy (there’s two - just guess which one). Don’t order from here if you want to be satisfied throughout your order. They are the worst.

The big girl who was working there on April 3rd was just rude for no reason. She coughed before handing us the menu (no mask, not covering her mouth), told her we weren’t sure what to order - never suggested anything as we never been there before, asked her if the shrimp came with a side and she looked at us weird and said no… so we just walked out. I’ll be sure never to support or order here. She made our 5 min encounter very uncomfortable. She makes supporting our own so hard! That’s why people just go to the Chinese.

Thank you, for making my mother's birthday a miraculous experience for her, this is a moment we will never forget. The food was delish, savoury and succulent. The venue was very clean and the staff were very efficient and accommodating our needs. Thank you Dave for making this possible!

Personally I would avoid this place, $30 cover charge, $8 drinks, and nobody inside was actually dancing or having a good time, I went with my girlfriend and a few friends and it was just an overall bad vibe. so many guys just standing around being creepy, way over crowded (definitely not adhering to 50% capacity) and overall just a bad experience. There are way better night clubs out there, skip this one and find somewhere else
