Short
Review:
I
have
been
coming
to
Bellamy-Lawrence
for
about
a
year
and
a
half
now,
and
I
must
say,
the
care
is
exceptional,
and
very
reasonably
priced.
Long
review:
I
have
a
german
shepherd,
who
came
home
in
the
middle
of
the
pandemic,
making
it
difficult
to
properly
socialize
him
to
everything
during
lockdowns.
Because
of
this,
he
can
be
reactive
when
meeting
new
people
in
unfamiliar
spaces
(such
as
an
exam
room).
Despite
Floyd
barking
like
crazy,
the
staff
are
always
so
patient
while
I
try
and
get
him
to
settle
down,
and
are
always
extremely
pleasant
with
him.
I
did
not
realize
this
is
something
I
should
have
to
be
grateful
for,
until
I
had
to
bring
Floyd
to
an
emergency
vet
one
night
and
the
vet
treating
him
stood
outside
the
door
and
held
the
clipboard
so
tight
I
thought
it
would
snap.
I
understand
that
some
dogs
can
be
aggressive,
but
Floyd
doesn't
even
move
or
lunge
forward,
he
just
sits
and
barks.
I
would
hope
a
vet
treating
animals,
especially
in
emergency
situations,
would
not
be
afraid
of
barking.
I
recently
brought
Floyd
in
for
a
hernia
repair
and
a
non-standard
neuter,
as
one
of
his
testicles
is
retained
in
his
abdomen
(cryptorchidism).
This
has
been
something
I
have
spoken
with
my
vet
about
since
Floyd’s
first
few
appointments.
We
discussed
a
treatment
plan
moving
forward,
despite
the
surgery
being
over
a
year
away
at
the
time.
It
gave
me
a
lot
of
comfort
knowing
what
to
expect
and
knowing
I
would
have
any
and
all
questions
answered,
whereas
some
vets
delay
speaking
about
things
until
much
closer
in
time.
The
surgery
itself
was
mostly
successful,
his
retained
testicle
is
in
a
very
difficult
spot
and
unfortunately
was
not
able
to
be
removed,
however
his
hernia
was
repaired
and
his
other
testicle
was
removed
successfully.
For
the
testicle
still
inside
his
abdomen,
I
received
the
names
and
numbers
of
3
different
hospitals
with
board
certified
surgeons
who
will
hopefully
be
able
to
help
us
with
this
difficult
case.
Floyd
was
kept
an
additional
few
hours
for
extra
monitoring
to
ensure
he
was
healthy
and
stable
following
some
extra
bleeding
during
surgery.
When
I
arrived
to
pick
him
up,
he
happily
greeted
me
and
the
vet
did
not
leave
the
room
until
they
were
sure
all
of
my
questions
had
been
answered.
A
few
days
after
surgery,
I
noticed
one
of
Floyd’s
incisions
was
looking
quite
red
and
I
was
unsure
if
it
was
becoming
infected.
I
sent
some
photos
in
and
got
a
response
within
10
minutes
and
was
informed
it
all
looked
good,
it
was
just
some
bruising
which
was
to
be
expected.
It
is
now
a
little
over
a
week
later
and
Floyd
is
healing
extremely
well
-
almost
too
well
as
I
had
to
have
a
mild
sedative
prescribed
because
he
keeps
trying
to
zoom
around
when
he
needs
to
be
calm
and
still.
The
staff
helped
ease
my
nerves
surrounding
this
very
stressful
situation
and
I
am
so
very
grateful
for
the
amazing
care
they
have
and
continue
to
give
my
good
boy.
One
minor
frustration
I
experienced
however
-
I
was
initially
booked
in
for
a
Wednesday,
and
after
having
Floyd’s
weight
taken
and
being
shown
into
an
exam
room
before
taking
him
back,
someone
came
in
and
I
was
informed
a
scheduling
error
was
made
and
due
to
the
complexity
of
his
procedure,
I
would
have
to
wait
until
the
following
day
for
a
surgeon
who
was
experienced
with
more
complex
procedures,
to
return
from
vacation.
This
was
frustrating
as
not
only
had
I
taken
the
day
off
work,
I
had
made
sure
when
scheduling
the
appointment,
that
they
knew
he
was
getting
an
additional
2
procedures,
one
of
them
involving
cryptorchidism,
on
top
of
a
standard
neuter.
I
understand
mistakes
happen,
although
I
do
wish
there
was
a
review
of
cases
for
the
week
or
something
along
those
lines
to
ensure
they
are
properly
staffed
for
upcoming
procedures
and
catch
these
things
ahead
of
time.
However
with
all
of
that
being
said,
one
extra
day
is
really
not
that
bad,
and
sadly
I’m
sure
there
are
some
clinics
out
there
that
would
have
gone
ahead
and
done
the
procedure
anyway.
