😠 Went in today due to battery failure on my car. Motomaster Battery was purchased in March of 2021. They tested it and sure the battery failed. They asked for warranty papers and I didn't have it. They tried to pull it under my phone number but wasn't there. Tried to explain that I have purchased it... People often mention store, service, Canadian, asked, customer, manager, phone, time, tire, battery,

If you want to shop from a prison, go here. Horrible experience. I asked 4 employees to speak with the manager but he was hiding and has apparently no last name and no phone number. The entire store was locked up 🔒. All products were locked away in cages. Ridiculous. Deterred us from shopping here today and ever again and was an aesthetic nightmare.

Went in today due to battery failure on my car. Motomaster Battery was purchased in March of 2021. They tested it and sure the battery failed. They asked for warranty papers and I didn't have it. They tried to pull it under my phone number but wasn't there. Tried to explain that I have purchased it in Kingston and not in this store ... Didn't get anywhere.. spoke with Wendy the part manager ... they couldn't do anything about it without papers After back and forth for 45 mins .. going to customer service and back to parts ... they said a solid NO since no proof of purchase they can't honor warranty ... I was unsettled about it but needed to have my car running in the morning so I bite the bullet and bought the new battery .... so far I'm upset that they didn't honor 3 year warranty that clearly says on the product with a productuon date of March 2021 ... so far just upset about the bad luck with the battery and the paper work ... but oh well I could live with it. I walked to the cash on the way out. There was an older Chinese lady, Christina her name was, at the cash which saw me going back and forth a few times to parts to sort this out said:" oh you couldn't find the paper work, i said no unfortunately... then i asked to see if she could pull out the info under another phone number that came to my mind at the cash ... and she said ... you have already wasted a lot of our time, May be you just took the battery last time!!!" She was implying I stole the battery last year i guess ! ... got very upset now .. not only they didn't honor their warranty on a Canadian tire product with a sticker date on it ... her poor choice of comment was insulting. Implying that I stole the used battery was top of the line ! for a 150 dollar item that I ended up paying again in 1 year anyway!!! A very bad experience which was made wose by the comment. Made a complaint to the store manager .... he was apologetic but no action was made towards the battery nore Christina ... he just said yes we know of her attitude ... she has made similar comments to other people! Priceless ... haha

If I could give this place ZERO STARS.. I WOULD. Horrible and useless customer service and management, was originally trying to exchange a product (had the receipt and exchange request form from the manufacturer) I called the store beforehand to make sure the same product was in stock, turns out it’s been discontinued so I called the manufacturer and they said we could do store credit. I call the store again to verify and they asked when it was bought, I said in 2020, the Canadian tire employee said because it’s past the 1 year manufacturer warranty you can only exchange it with a similar product for the same value or pay the difference. I said no the manufacturer said we could get store credit and they said well you’re going to have to come in and speak to the manager. We go to the store and tell the employee at the customer service desk the situation (I’m sure I spoke to the same person on the phone but unfortunately didn’t get her name) I asked if could I speak to the manager? The employee said the manager is out (which baffled me because why couldn’t you have mentioned that on the phone before we made the drive there??) there was also a man standing near the front, no uniform or anything but we assumed it was the store owner because he first asked us what were we here for. Of course the store owner was no help at all and just directed us to the employee which parroted back the same thing they said on the phone. The employee said if you want to get store credit you need a RETURN authorization form from the manufacturer, I later got on the phone with the manufacturer and they said their EXCHANGE request form was also used as a RETURN authorization form. I told the employee that and they said they could not accept it.. then I told them I’m on the phone with the manufacturer if you could speak with them. Employee said “I don’t have to speak with them on the phone only the customers in front of me.” I was shocked, if you don’t want to do your job then don’t work here? Store owner was just ignoring the whole situation and letting the associate deal with us. In the end there was no other helpful solution and we ended up leaving the store. And no I’m not going to call the customer service number you give instead I hope the store owner gets replaced because he could’ve EASILY resolved the issue and given us the store credit when the manufacturer on the phone said it could be done. Don’t come here if you don’t want to get a frustrating headache.

So they cancelled a part of my online order, even though that part of the order is the only reason why I picked this particular Canadian Tire. If they were more diligent about updating their stock information, I wouldn’t have come all the way to this location. Also, I couldn’t believe they are even allowed to give products in this state (Photo) for online orders. I had to return it on the spot. At least, the staff were friendly and fast.

I don't know why. You won't find any employees easily if you need something. Everything is locked. And the worst part is why they do stupid marketing inside the store? If a customer is looking for something and says no to whatever card you are trying to sell, that means the customer is not interested in your stupid lectures. Please stop the useless marketing inside the store. You are wasting customer time and making uncomfortable while shopping. I am not going to shop any Canadiantire store.

Had a Flat tire, screw penetrated an almost new tire. I called at 6:45 pm, the person said if you "come right away" they would be able to fix it. So I drove with the Spare Tire on. They checked me in quickly, removed the screw, patched up the tire, balanced it and checked the pressure on all other tires and Bingo, I was done and on my way in 1 Hr., for $79 Tax included and I did not have to spend $300 for a replacement tire. The staff were polite and professional. Thankfully when I arrived there were only 2 other people being served.

I recently visited this store and I have to say, it's not the biggest. Unfortunately, it doesn't include the Party City section. However, the shelves are packed with a good variety of items. If you go during peak hours, it can be a bit difficult to navigate through the crowds. On the plus side, there is a large car services and tire section which is great if you need those services. Overall, I would say it's an okay store.

SCAM! A few weeks ago I bought a garden hose that cost almost $100. The first and only time I used it, it leaked. I attempted to return it the next day. At the return desk the associate asked if I used it. I showed her the bill and said it was brand new, but leaking. She asked how I knew it was leaking. I told her because I used it. She said “then it’s not new. I can only give you a store credit because it’s used”. Clearly the product was defective and how else could one possibly know it is unless they use it. I asked to speak to the manager. A manager named “Mike” reluctantly came out with an angry disposition and rudely confirmed what the associate said. The store will send it back to the manufacturer and get their money back. I now have a $100 gift card that no less expires in a year that I will probably have no use for. Not very Canadian, eh……. Next time I will go to Home Depot, a much more pleasant American chain.

Now I understand why this store has one of the lowest review rates in the GTA, and understood why Patricia (customer service manager) is mentioned in at least 7 reviews with rude service. Now I am wondering why management and owner do not care to hire a right person for right position. I returned an item a month ago and did not get the money back into my credit card because Patricia was suspicious about the transaction and accused me with something which is not even proven. I was supposed to go to store 5 times with no clear response. The transaction is not still in process! Dear Owner: If you want to stay in business, you need to value customers and respect their comments and reviews by serving a right person for right position. Your customer service manager at this branch has zero soft skills for this position.

Worst experience ever! Really rude manager! I bought a 70% off water bottle online and drove across the city to pick it up, but the product was sold out in store already. The manager refused to give me the same bottle with another color, and even blamed on me saying this is my problem and not their fault. My problem??? This is so ridiculous and unacceptable. I am feeling so sick with this person.🤮And the customer service said they can only refund me.

Nobody works here waited for 20 min for someone to open up the locked $14 stud finder Would recommend a not lock it and they would get some more sales. Yes some go missing but I'm sure if they do the math they're losing more sales or just hire more employees that have to stick to there area

In general it’s really 4 stars Location very convenient. The fact that it’s a part of Centre Point Mall makes it convenient for me as I can go shopping with more options. The garden centre is good and open in summer.

Terrible service. Just wanted to get balloons filled with helium. The balloon kiosk was unmanned. I asked for assistance at customer service and was told the balloon people will be there at 11. They obviously didn't show. No one else in the store could bother to help. I won't be back.

Not really the type to do Google reviews, but I felt strongly enough here to start doing so. I used to live nearby and come to this Canadian Tire years ago, but it seems like things have taken a turn for the worse. A lot of merchandise is locked behind cages - a phenomenon I've never seen at other Canadian Tires. You have to get an employee to grab stuff (even for simple things like LED light bulbs and air filters...), where it's then held at a specific cashier for you to wait to check out. The manager was standing watch at the exit and seemed pretty rude and aggressive towards his employees. I felt sorry for the staff, who seem to be the only thing normal. The mall entrance is half closed, forcing customers to enter through the exit. They do bag checks - no backpacks allowed. The entire experience makes you feel like a convict. What happened here?!

Used to be 5 stars but my last experience was a 1. I went to buy a torque socket set but it was locked behind the cabinet. I asked an employee for help and then he proceeded to escort me to the cashier to immediately pay for it. I didn't even have the opportunity to look at the product and I still had other things to buy. You think I'm going to run off with a $25 torque set? Never coming here again.

I didn't go in as I was asked to leave my shopping bag with a cashier at the door as I entered who is an arbitrary person to me. The questions I asked myself are: 1. Is this because I belong to a visible minority? 2. Why would I leave my personal belongings in the care of someone I don't know? 3.What if something went missing? Would Canadian tire reimburse me for the value lost? 4. Could they not provide a more dignified means - like a locker? 5. Is this discrimination against people without cars. Obviously this Canadian tire doesn't realize that customers have many choices and should be happy to be chosen. I most certainly wont be spending anymore of my hard earned money at this location unless this policy changes and suggest others do the same.

Too busy but helpful shopping place. The only issue that I didn’t like was too many locked items in hardware and tools area inside showcases and closets unlike the other stores. It looks like a jail as you see in the photos! I think thats why this part of store is not busy at all. Good, polite and friendly staff.

First of id like to say this is the worst Canadian Tire I have been too... I have never left a review for a box store ever - so this is a first. I went there because they had stock for some boat accessories that i needed. I asked for help to unlock the cage, no one came. after 10 minutes I found someone to open it. This had to have been some of the oldest stock in their store as it was taped up with very ancient packaging. I was actually doing them a favour taking this dead stock off their shelf. I then wanted to price match with SAIL, one of your biggest competitors in the outdoor space in Canada. ( I have priced matched with many smaller Canadian retailers at other CT locations with 0 issues at all). Customer service refused to do this as they only price match with the retailers of their choice - is what i was told. I asked for the manager, Raje. He would not come to the front to speak to me and give me a reason on why he would not price match SAIL and just refused over the phone when speaking to the girl at the front desk who was also very rude and did not handle my situation properly. I waited about 10 minutes and eventually left very angry. I will never go back to this location again. Letting everyone know that they choose who they price match with even if they are well established Canadian companies and have the worst customer service out of any Box Store i have been to. Absolute 1 star experience.

I’ve been taking my 22 year old Saturn there ever since it was out of manufacturer’s warranty. Always had very good service. I appreciate the computer system that can pull up prior repairs. I had to replace a battery several years after they had put a new one in and they gave me a good discount on the replacement. They keep track of all the prior repairs so I don’t have to. It’s been a good car but of course I have had to replace brakes and tires and some other parts over the years. That’s normal. I’ve always been given estimates before they do the work for my approval and they have always explained well what needed to be done. I’ve never felt ripped off by their mechanics or staff. Christine may be a bit abrupt but that’s because they are so busy at that location, I’m sure because they give good service. Christine is very knowledgeable and fair and a real asset to your store. I credit you with keeping my car on the road all these years. Thank you.

i bought this booster about 5 months ago from this exact location, the product stopped working after only a few months, we were just trying to return it or repair it as the product has one year of warrenty as can be seen on the photos, the lady helping us was very rude and didnt want to return or repair the item, even thought i had bought the item with my canadian tire card. this is completely unacceptable and now i have a non working booster which they will not accept.

Absolute horrendous customer service from this location. Made a $1000 purchase 4 days ago, told it would be processed the day after purchase (money taken off card). 25 phone calls unanswered across 4 days. Finally connected with someone, strung along for 4 hours waiting for confirmation only to be told the order can’t be processed. Why couldn’t this have been communicated 3 days ago? Why doesn’t anyone answer the phone? This location is a stain on your organization. Clean it up. I will never shop here again.

I have an exceptionally bad shopping experience every time I come here. The store is a mess, poorly organized and the inventory displayed on the website for this branch is always inaccurate. I was told there was absolutely no distilled water in stock despite 183 being shown on the website, only to find many gallons on a shelf right when I was checking out. I was also told a specific kind of mulch shown in stock on the website was unavailable. Not sure if that was true or not, I didn’t bother looking further. Getting anything at the car parts desk was also annoying and very slow. I’d suggest going elsewhere.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. The auto service running here is a scam. Not surprised to see bad reviews about an old lady running this place. I was told to come in for a tire change i booked online ahead of time, when I arrived she pretended to her staff that I had cancelled. Which I didn't. Got my car 2.5 hours later than expected, HORRIBLY rude staff also. CLUELESS and they will overcharge you by doing work they don't tell you about, lie about timings, and act as if the customer isn't paying for the work.

This is a zero star review, I wouldn't have even given a star, but the app forces you to.The auto serivce is disgusting. The actual store is just fine but the auto service is despicable. I came to get my battery replaced and I had the worst serivce EVER. DO NOT COME IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR SANITY. They took a whole 24+ hrs to fix my car when they said it would take 4 hrs. They called security on me after I argued with their service. They HAVE NO RESPECT FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS, THEY ARE RUDE, ILL BEHAVED, and you can't even ask a question without getting security called. They don't even return calls. You can't ask anything. I asked them to tell my before they fixed anything but they ignored me and just did whatever they wanted WITHOUT my permission. Ifyou have a concern or complaint they WANT TO SILENCE YOU. THEY HAVE NOT RECIEVED ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING! Disgraceful. I have been coming to this place to get my car fixed for a long time. Never again. To all of you reading this review. Keep your money. And go to some local mechanics who actually deserve it. These corporations want to take your money and will not respect you. Help the local mechanics instead. 0/5 stars.

Don’t come to the garage here. The people here are scammers. I needed to do a safety check on my car here and a wheel alignment. They told me they needed to replace the front 2 tires after they performed the alignment saying they were too worn out but the back tires were fine and looked new. I said that’s fine and so I decided to replace all the tires with winter tires since it’s almost that time of year. When they were done, I asked for my old tires back, but they refused to give them to me because suddenly all the tires were not usable anymore. Clearly they just wanted to me buy a new complete set of tires from them in the spring. On top of that, they charged me for a full wheel alignment and then an additional alignment for each replaced wheel. Why would you not perform the safety check first before performing the alignment if you knew the tires needed replacing anyway? They took advantage of me because they knew I needed to pass the safety check and they knew it was my first car. Really disappointing behavior.

I have been going to this location for years but after my negative experience a while back I have not shopped there and do not plan to shop there again. I went to this store many times in the past and often with my backpack (usually entering from the outside of the mall entrance) and there was never an issue. Last time I went I used the entrance from the mall and the cashiers rudely said to leave the backpack with her, I asked why and she said store policy but I have never been asked it before. I did not feel comfortable leaving it with her and wanted to speak with the manager. The manger was on the other side of the store so went there and pick up the one thing I needed to buy on the way. The manger said he was the owner of the store. He said it’s because of stealing and I have to leave the backpack at the cashier or in a storage box. He wouldn’t let me pay for the item. My issue with it is he was very rude and refused to sell the item I already pick up. The cashier at the other entrance was very rude too. I checked after leaving the store there is no consistent signing, there is a sign at the inside entrance but no sign at the outside entrance about it. I have health issues and need the items in my backpack. I shouldn’t be asked to leave it anywhere; I have been a customer of the store for years. I was disrespected by how rude the manager/owner was. I am not planning shopping there again.

Fantastic experience at Canadian Tire near Yonge and Steeles! The staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, making my shopping trip a breeze. The store is well-organized, and they have a wide selection of quality products. From automotive supplies to home goods, Canadian Tire had everything I needed. The prices were reasonable, and the cashier was friendly. Overall, a great place to shop for all your household and automotive needs!

I tried calling to see if they had the product I needed. They answered the phone after 5 minutes (not soo bad...) And immediately hung up (terrible). I called back and the call was immediately picked up but the line was silent for 30 seconds, nobody responded to me, and then they hung up. I called back and am still waiting on hold, it's been over 25 minutes now of hold time on my third call. Canadian Tire, I call for information not to listen to your radio, if I want to hear the radio I'll turn on my own. Y'all need to do better at answering the phone. This is ridiculous!!!!

Terrible store, everywhere is mess, unprofessional plus unfriendly staffs. Do they get paid with that upset attitude? Even Dollarama is better than this. Don't trust anyone from Auto center, I put my car there for oil change, 5 hours later I was told they do not have the right wrench. Online shopping is even worse. Just DO NOT waste your time with Canadian Tire, they will be eliminated by the competitors for sure.

  • 2/5 Fanny T. 7 months ago on Google
Called their number to see if they have a product in stock, as sometimes the online inventory isn't accurate. Whoever picked up the phone just told me to go to the aisle to find it. If I'm close by, I wouldn't have called your store. And I'll have to physically drive across a few towns to get to your store to check for stock, hoping that it's in stock. I've decided to order online, hope I can pick it up in store today. Feels like this is the company's tactic to push up their online sale numbers.

The staff at the cash, the GM Rajee, and the security guy who is not even in uniform all are very rude. Zero for customer service. Went there to get a gift card, they take my $500 from my card, and then give me a void receipt within 30 seconds, without even explaining what exactly happened, when I am going to get the money returned to my card (I still have not received my money back). When asked for explanation, cashier exclaimed oh you only have that $500? I asked for manager and seems like the staff is learning from Manager himself. If the manager (Rajee) doesn’t have any sense of customer service, what is the staff going to follow. He was very rude and threatening and when I started recording, he told me he is going to throw us out of the store and damage my phone. And then there was this third person getting involved in the conversation as well without identifying himself. When I asked for the process to complaint, the reps were laughing and provided a regular notebook to write (how would someone trust this will escalate to right person when they are laughing on your faces). I have complaint officially over phone but thought I would come here and write the review too, so people are aware that this is the staff’s regular behaviour if they go to this location. Anyways I still have not got back my $500!

I was accosted by three different overly zealous representatives for Rogers trying to sell me their services while I was trying to buy things here. Never heard of nonsense like this in a retail store. They also wouldn’t just take No for an answer. I don’t know what makes the management of this store think its customers want to be treated like that. I don’t usually bother posting negative reviews but this really needed it. Plus the automotive department made me wait ten minutes just to get one bulb for me and kept trying to get me to buy a more expensive bulb I said multiple times that I didn’t want.

We came in a middle of Saturday to buy a simple air filter for our car. It took us 40 minutes to find a representative to get matching thing and make a payment. Shouldn't it be a simpler than that just to find it with a catalog on the shelf and go to a cashier instead of stupid waiting and waiting while the only representative is busy

I must say the service department was excellent. The man at the desk was the best. Took me in to fix a tire at 8:30 and stayed open till 9:18 pm. The mechanic as well was great for staying late and saving my weekend. Great Canadian tire.

Canadian Tire is always great. No matter where. This time I got Irish Springs bar soap on sale and now I smell great. Thank you Canadian Tire! Although they had no idea where to find the car electronics I needed and even when we showed them online on our phones what we are looking for the woman just stared off into the ether hoping we would go away.

I couldn’t buy batteries that I needed urgently nor umbrellas because they were locked away due to alleged thefts. Inefficient and depressing to lock all items from customers. It means you are not interested in selling anything. Very poor customer service. Won’t be visiting this location again.

I love this Canadian Tire because I can find any and everything I need. I had another Canadian Tire near my house but it was always out of stock, yet this one if they don't have it they get it for you anyways. They are very helpful at the time of returning things. The place is small but they had figured out how to use every bit of the space, and also they have many things at discounted prices that others don't have. A place to go when in need of a Canadian Tire!

While the customer service I recieved was great, I found it somewhat difficult navigating through the store as it is so big and there are so many products you carry!! If the atmosphere of the store could be better it honestly would be helpful for me! Otherwise, what I love about Canadian Tire is simple; value and quality. And that, I thank you for!

Toronto was repairing Finch Ave, East of Bathurst leaving gapping holes across the laneway. My tires couldn't handle the jolt and the front driver side popped flat. Called Tow truck to take the car to Canadian Tires. Chris, the manager was booked solid but squeezed us in after several hours to replace the tire
