The food is amazing, the game is always on no matter which one. Waitress are all gorgeous. I can not explain how happy I am with the service at Shopsy's in York Lanes. The staff is extra friendly and willing to go above and beyond to ensure their customers are well taken care of. I would recommend this bar to anyone 7 days out of the week. Keep up the good work guys.

Glad that there is another pub on campus. The food is par, prices fairly reasonable. Service is on and off. Remember coming here for dinner and it being pretty fine and quick. Had a poor experience with breakfast but I won't let it completely knock my experience. The waitress was operating very inefficiently and at a snail's pace. My plate was left sitting on the counter and she waited for the other customer's food to come out before serving her first, although she ordered a few minutes after me (very flabbergasted - literally only two patrons in the restaurant then). Then she proceeded to take her sweet time by serving her very slowly (this customer is seated right beside me by the way) and then took an additional order for juice, served her again, waited around, and then finally went to serve my breakfast. All while it sat on the counter for 5 or so minutes. Automatic tipping that time too.

I just went there for the first time. The place feels amazing and relaxed. My waitress (Daisy) was really nice and helpful. The food was amazing, and what's impressive is the portions... I assume a salad and a poutine would be less for what I used to pay in university but for what I paid, I got a huge portion which is really impressive. I would definitely be a regular in this place.

The burger I had was decent but the beer prices could be better. Few shops ahead there is italian pizza place with cheaper beer with a tv. If cocktails are your thing then this might be the place for you.

The reason for me rating 3 stars instead of 4 is the slow service-- it definitely sets Shopsy's back a lot in regards to excellent service. But, my friends and I still come here quite frequently. The food is fantastic, and they have TONS of vegetarians options, which is awesome & rare for a sports bar restaurant. The alcohol is decently expensive, but the bartender's skills are usually above par.

The place is not bad. Very good for drinks and social gatherings. But yesterday(January 12), my girlfriend and I had eaten some pastas with chicken in it and enjoyed.... then got food poisoning that night. That was the only thing besides an early morning breakfast we ate so we know it had something to do with the food here. Be on the safe side while ordering here! The chicken is garbage! But everything else was good

Relaxed atmosphere, friendly, attentive bar staff, inexpensive. Food is good, nice cocktails though limited options in choice of brands for Vodaka, Whiskey, etc. Will definetly visit again.

I love going to this Shopsy's. The food is always great and never takes too long. There's lots of space inside and they play good music. I've always had great service. Willow is the best. She has served me multiple times and is always so sweet and helpful. I definitely recommend coming here. :)

My dad had a running race at York university indoor track. Having a few hours between races we decided to head over to York lanes to find something to eat. We ended up at Shopsy's and were thrilled with our meal. My dad ordered the large Greek salad so that i could have half. The Greek salad comes with romaine, Greek dressing, grape tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, kalamata olives and feta. My dad decided to add salmon to his salad which was an extra $6.50. The salad was good, although it had barely any feta it was fresh and full of flavour. My dad said the salmon was flavourful and cooked well. I had the Far East starter, to pair with my half of the Greek salad. The Far East starter is deep fried chicken breast coated in sweet Thai chilli Saussure on a bed of crispy noodles. The chicken was cooked to perfection and full of flavour. It was the perfect balance to the salad! The crispy noodles were a nice touch as well. My mom also joined us and ordered the brisket burger. The brisket burger is a beef burger topped with beef brisket, lettuce, red onion, tomato, sliced pickles, burger sauce on a brioche bun with a side of fries. I did not try her burger but she said it was very flavourful. I did notice it's a very hearty burger high with both brisket and beef burger patty so bring your appetite or ask for a to go box. Overall great Lunch! Server was friendly and quick and the place was pretty empty on a Sunday at lunch.
