Ordered delivery and the food was good but not as great as the good old days from what I remember when their burgers were more homemade than the pre pressed patties they seem to have now. The Burgers and Hot Hamburger were still kinda nice hence the 4 star rating but I’d really like to see them get back to their 5 star ways.

The service is really above and beyond here. It's a classic spot for our family when we're not quite sure where or what we want to eat so we always come here. The portions are very generous and the taste is great. You will never leave here hungry no matter how hungry you arrived.

My boyfriend and I had just moved around the area. We went here once, tried it out and it was amazing! The food was good & service, our server was an old Filipina lady. Today we wanted to try it again and bring one of our friends cause of how good the service and food we had last time. Tonight I wanted to try out what my boyfriend had last night, the Philly Beef Sandwich. I wanted to try it cause my boyfriend LOVED it. I ordered it, starving and excited. A few bites in, I was literally just eating sautéed onions,peppers and the smallest bits of steak. It got to the point that I was just upset, it was like I ordered a veggie sandwich. I decided to say something and it went chaotic after I approached very politely. After the servers talked to the kitchen or supposedly ‘chef’, they told me to never come back since I’m not paying for my meal when it was absolutely disappointing. I was very upset with how extremely rude one of the waitress were and the kitchen or such, chef. Get better service!!! Take these complaints from customers and improve.

We visited this place on a Thursday afternoon when looking for something to eat. We went in as a group of five, and while it was busy inside we did get a table very fast. The restaurant isn't that big inside so maybe make sure beforehand there's seating avaliable. The atmosphere was very interesting as it had this early 70s diner look, paired with red seats and jukeboxes on the wall of every table. While they didn't work for us, it was a very nice touch. The server was very friendly and got us seated very quickly. There's a large selection of food from the menu, but I'd say the wimpy's burger is the one most people get. We ordered three wimpys burgers, a hot dog, some waffle fries, and a chicken burger. The burgers have very large patties as can be seen in he photo. Waffle fries were nice but the portions were a bit small. My friend enjoyed his chicken burger, and we had a good time. Serving time and price to portion are both reasonable.

Can I give it 10 stars? Nothing bad can be said about this place. It's perfectly perfect! Delicious food, wonderful service, clean, good price. Their pancakes are absolutely wonderful, by the way.

Great service, friendly servers, enjoyed everything we ordered. My fish and chips was yum! My hubbys caesar salad was great too. Will be back. Their desserts are pretty good too!

Food and Atmosphere was exactly what I would expect from Whimpy's. Everything was excellent. Now, the server was getting confused a lot, she brought something we ordered to another table, took a really long time to check on us for the order (thought at least she checked up on us at all) and was complaining to us about a headache a lot. That said they were nice and apologetic when mistakes were made, and I could tell she was really sorry and having an off day. I honestly still had a really great time, I love Whimpy's dinner, and I've not been in a while so it was nice!

Waitress friendly and helpful, for my taste (I tend to eat healthy breakfast) pancakes okay, bacon and sausage tasted if it had been deep fried originally + again to warm it up for breakfast. Was 2nd attemp eating breakfast here. Breakfast isn't cheap please spend more on the foods that you're promoting to people- I live across the street but honestly next time I'll walk farther

Lovely quaint Diner experience. Large meal that I honestly couldn't finish but it was delicious all the same. The staff were kind and attentive, was just the best experience after a hard night. 10/10 Would Recommend

Wimpy's diner has been a longstanding Classic Canadian Diner! This location opened approximately 17 years ago🏆👍 I was working in the area and it was still a new location but it's great to see after so many years it's your serving delicious breakfast taking care of the community offering hot cups of coffee delicious meals. The staff are helpful and great plus the plaza is amazing so it's always great to come to wimpy's and get a nice cheeseburger a milkshake or just enjoy the atmosphere! I really enjoy Wimpys. The staff is friendly and competent. Food is also pretty good. In fact I’ve never had a really bad meal ever. So why did I give such a poor review? Please let me know if others have experienced this and find it deplorable too. Each time a dish is served and placed onto the table, why oh why would the serving staff include either a long manicured thumb nail or just a thumb touching the edge of my food as the plate goes onto the table? I can’t believe there isn’t a better way as to not include the thumb(nail) on food? It’s gross. Please Wimpys can you not train your staff better?

I recently visited Wimpy's Diner and had a mixed experience. While the atmosphere of the restaurant was decent, I was disappointed with the quality of the food. I like this franchise, the food was good as always and prices are reasonable, this location was also good but they have to be told couple of times to do things, like refilling coffe and other stuffs but they're still nice and friendly. This location is much more smaller than other locations.

Cannot express how much I love Wimpy’s retro experience! ☺️ Great place to have an amazing Sunday morning breakfast in a retro style. The food was as good as other locations. The dishes we always go for are the chicken Parmesan sandwich, waffles eggs Benedict with chicken, Choco chip pancakes and good ol’ coffee 🧡

so I did a pick up order at 1130pm. I get home open up the carton and there was a huge issue. my meal was covered in mushrooms...I'm allergic sadly so I can't eat it. it was now 1145 and they close at 12! I called and the staff offered to remake it or I could wait till tmrw. I asked for it to be redone and I'd be right there. Guess what happened...they replaced it and has it ready all while they were trying to close up for the night....and the replacement was absolutely perfect!!! what's my point you might be asking? the point is mistakes happen and when they do and the business goes to lengths that this wimpy's did to make it right you say thank you! So Thank You wimpy's I appreciate it! and if the owner or corporate bosses see this.....the entire staff working the night shift on Feb 17th 2024 deserves a raise and some praise from you!!! They all went out of there way to make it right.

Had been coming here for years pre pandemic. My night owl flights saw me here in the wee hours (2-4 am) Absolutely loved it Unfortunately no longer 24 hours

Service was very bad. Slow to bring out food. I spilled my beer in front of the waiter and nobody came to clean that up. We were there for over two hours. I cleaned it with napkins and nobody cleared the napkins from the table until we ordered the bill. I mentioned it to the waiter at the end and she said it was not her job to clear the tables. Not going back

We went with our 8 month old. We were being served by Dody. She is just awesome! She even ran out to give us our cup holder that we left behind by mistake. Thanks for a wonderful Saturday afternoon! Goes without saying food was really good.

I ordered through uber eats for the thanksgiving dinner special. They did not have the food available yet still wanted me to cancel the order after 5 minutes, charging me the full amount. They even refused to substitute for something available and was rude and discriminatory the entire exchange

Staff are friendly. Fast time for take out. Placing orders are fast and easy. Food is good.

Ordered via Uber and The wings were not good. Overcooked and likely re heated. To be honest this is the first time this has happened and we have had a few orders from them and its normally been good. If I had been in the location I would have sent it back. Just because we are nit there do not try and provided sub standard food. The internet is very powerful

Loved the food, quantity and quality worth the money. Service is great, the interior design took me back to the oldies.... would love to have dine in breakfast while Iistening some oldies ( off course you can dine in, it's my personal choice for this time around). They take online order, might be a good idea to order ahead.

the food was average but seems better now since we started going again in oct 2021..the portions are decent. The waitresses are GREAT!!...they remember us & make is feel welcome usually after 10:00pm weeknights...we drive 25 minutes from downtown and it's worth it...being we're a couple of old guys the retro decor which includes juke boxes in each both adds to the retro look..(sadly they don't work) 5 STAR plus...as long as you're looking for a family style restaurant. My daughter and I have enjoyed coning to this Wimpy's Diner at 590 Sheppard Ave West (in the Sheppard Plaza ...N/W corner of Sheppard & Bathurst) because the food is excellent, as is the chef. The servers Dody and Laura were : Patient, Polite, Professional, Prompt and Funny ! What an incredible ambience of down to earth and real staff that make your visit an absolute pleasure.. It's a refreshing change today to visit a restaurant that isn't shrouded in doom and gloom and allows one to enjoy a great meal in a place with staff that doesn't ignore you or make you feel rushed . I would highly recommend this Wimp's Diner without hesitation.

I gave one 🌟 2 years ago due to how I was treated by the waitress that night. Would drive out from Brampton and then Mississauga to meet friends. Always had a great experience... Was not going to return. Decided that we will come back as your Wimpys has a great atmosphere, and it gave us a chance to meet friends that we don't see to often. I'm disabled and don't get out much due to my medical conditions. That night it was a disaster. I didn't want to be put through it again on how I was treated. I informed the waitress how I felt, and her actions continued.... Anyway... We decided to give your location another try. We were treated as if nothing happened. Had an awesome experience. Figured that we wouldn't stop coming due to one event.. We did return about 3 months later and happy we did... Now living to far away to visit. Edited on May 17th 2022...

We ordered a Peameal Benedict and Pancake Trinity. The pancake was not that we'll cook, but the benedict and home-style potato taste delicious 😋 Portions were a lot and shareable between two people. Also, Customer service was nice

The staff is always so welcoming. They make you feel like you're at home. The food is great, the portions are huge and the prices are decent.

If you’re craving good diner-style food and personable service, this is the place to go. Wimpy’s was my girlfriend and I’s first stop on her birthday and we enjoyed it so much that we might just make it a tradition!

This place is a hit or miss when it comes to service. Probably come here once every few months. Customer service is okay - usually depends on who your server is. Sadly there's no consistency. My previous visit was satisfactory, except the server we had was very forgetful. Cleanliness is okay. I love the Whimpy's menu in general. I requested that the turkey bacon be made on a separate grill from the pork/bacon - they didn't have room to accommodate at this location. Other than that, good luck! ***Must Try: Penne Florentine with Chicken and Chicken on Waffel***

I loved the food. I had fish and chips. Normal pricing. The restaurant has a nostalgic vibe and the staff were friendly and nice. Washroom was clean and nice. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because there was not enough staff and people who were working had to take care of lot's of customers all alone. Thank you for the great experience. I thought I would provide written instructions so as a repeat of the last 2 botched pick-up orders didn't occur. Offended by this, the female server decided to botch up this 3rd and last order. Veggie burger + 2 fries/gravy was apparently an insurmountable task. Her incompetence was exceeded only by her idiocy.
