Advice for reception, is to put on your listening ears and listen to the questions being asked by the patients at the front desk, instead of being so eager to tell someone to sit down and to answer the questions in your head as opposed to what was asked. Back for step 2 and I totally understand why people give this place low ratings. I waited for 2 hours even though I made an appointment... The receptionist need a break or vacation because the customer service just isn't customer servicing. Last Day coming here for TB test results. And Tanisha the nurse is the only good thing about this place. She is friendly and has good customer service. Never coming back but I wish Tanisha all the best !!

I really need to get this off my chest this is by far the WORST walk in clinic in all of Ontario they stop answering the phone at about 5:30 when they close at 8 they say to go online and book an appointment but they have u waiting in the queue for over 3 hours and if u close the page u loose your spot. The receptionists are disrespectful and have no manners or care for your well being and they need to be shut down. They will purposely Lock the front door so you can’t get in but be open and then tell you to leave and call but they supposed to be walk in

Unfortunately, there is no option for "0" star. Otherwise, I would have given that. Unprofessional and unorganized front office staff. I got virtual appointment with a doctor and he said prescription will be forwarded. I confirmed with front office staff she said they will forward prescription to Shoppers Drug . They did not do nothing!! Horrible ever... Please Don't do such kind of things to patients suffering from chronic pain. I WILL NOT GO THAT CLINIC ANY MORE AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE..

Honestly don't understand all these negative reviews, they make appointments now for walk-ins, so you know exactly when to come so you won't have to wait. Just call in advance and they'll give you a spot, mine was only an hour away from when I called and it was completely empty when I came in. They put me in a room to speak to a doctor within literally 1 minute, and were really nice and polite. The place is also really clean and professional. I will definitely come back here anytime I need to be seen quickly..

The receptionist that is responsible for booking appointments to see Dr. Turner needs to be fired for the way she deals with patients. I'm 100% sure every person who complained about dealing with a rude receptionist were talking about her specifically. I don't understand how countless people spoke out about her lack of professionalism for years now and she still has that job. The disrespect she spews is uncalled for and unnecessary. Please do yourself a favour and get this figured out, because clearly she's the problem. And I repeat, the receptionist who is responsible for booking appointments for Dr. Turner is the one in question. I never leave reviews so this says a lot about how incompetent, immature and unprincipled this receptionist is. If you want to avoid receiving negative reviews, she needs to go.

There has to be a SUB ZERO review available. The Manager, Petra is not compassionate, nor helpful. Staff are not reliable, confused and rude, expose your patient information in front of all others including those on the phone at the same time. 3-5 minutes into opening for the day told they have 'REACHED MAXIMUM CAPACTIY". Open until 800 pm and stop booking for Walk In's by 905 am. Useless and should be shut down. Healthcare needs truly genuine and reliable, caring people; not someone who collects a paystub that's not well earned.

The doctors here are amazing but they hire some ghetto folks off the street who know nothing about professionalism. As soon as you walk in the receptionist has a stank attitude kissing her teeth and rolling her eyes just for doing her job. They left me a voicemail this morning so I called the clinic but to inquire what the call was about and the receptionist hung up the phone 3 times. After finally calling back a fourth time, another lady answered this time and said to call back tomorrow or book an appointment to speak to the doctor. Before I could even ask my question, she hung up immediately. Ministry of health really needs to follow up on clinics like this and they need to do a better job at selecting the right people to work with vulnerable clients cause the receptionist is extremely verbally abusive. This place really needs to be reported and shut down, they have zero care for people’s health

Clean and spacious waiting area. Receptionist are friendly and kind. With appointment, the wait is very short and placed me into the exam room very quickly. Whiles other doctors’ offices there is a long wait even with an appointment. The doctor is very kind, friendly, listens and not in a rush. Keep up the great work.

The receptionists here are the most unreasonable and arrogant people I have ever met. They are unable to answer your questions, they cannot even make sure that I receive my diagnostic tests results on time and my follow up appointments happen according to my appointment timings. Things happen in a haphazard manner at this clinic. Never go here if you’re worried about your health.

Please for the love of god dont waste your time. You are better of rubbing a rock on your forehead than getting help from this circus. Called Wednesday and was told I'd have a phone appointment "AFTER 2" on Thursday. They call me at 10 am and when I call them back at 1 they say I need to answer my phone and the doctor had left. I rebook for friday and they say I will get a call "between 11:30-12:30" no call and I call them at 12:45. To what had to be the worst receptionist I'd ever heard. She did not speak a word of English and doesnt even know how to take down a health card number. She informed me it wasnt their fault the appointment was missed because I didnt answer my phone at 10am for a 2pm appointment. I had to spell my 4 letter name about 6 times for her and recite my health card number probably 15 times all to be told my health card number "is not right" when it definitely is. Dont waste your time with this place. How the heck do you run a doctors office but not know what a health card version code is...

I need a tb skin test for work and the receptionist denied me...saying they only do testing if required for students not work...lollll I searched that up and no where is that found. You go to toronto.ca and it says you can get testing at any walk in clinic that does testing. Now she's purposely leaving me on hold because she doesn't want to hear it. She picked up the phone said 'oh' and put me back on hold. I've been a patient here for 3 years and today was the last straw. Our first call she thought I was another person at first. No professionalism and its upsetting as I don't drive and this was a good place near by. Not anymore. Finally answer me 15 minutes later and say its their clinic policy?! where i'm on the website no where does it say that?! Ridiculous and she laughs too. only place i saw was ohip coverage if needed for school. I can pay the $32 dollars because required for work, I don't mind but don't deny me that's absurd. if in wrong and it says somewhere please by all means write me back! that my fault then but from all my searches and them not even giving me a straight answer but repeating my questions to me instead is a joke and clearly means im not wrong.

I wish I could give them negative stars. The service is so bad that there is no words to even explain but I will still do so. I have been calling/coming to this clinic from long time now and the quality has been just depreciating day by day. One of the receptionist is so rude that I don't even feel like calling in anymore. And guess what you lost a patient today because I am moving out my file from this clinic and will never ever come back to any of the MCI. Every time I called in she will ask me my date of birth and when I give her the info, she will kind of pick on me saying 15 or 50? Which calendar in the world has 50th day, probably a calendar from some other galaxy. Talking to her just feels like you are being so mistreated by the clinic that you don't even feel like going there anymore. The receptionist are the front people of every clinic and you need to have some sort of empathy for your clients. But definitely not the case here. Just an advise, please be kind and humble when talking to the patients in the future or else you will continue to get the kind of negative reviews from a lot of other people. Also to add, I have trying to get checked by doctor in person (which at first place was asked by another doctor on the phone visit), but every time I call, I have been just getting the same answer. No doctors available, try call after 3(kind of just trying to get rid off the call) and guess what after 3 also when I called got the same answer. NO DOCTORS in person available. Then why the clinic is even open??? I called a different Clinic and they have so many in person appointment available that I finally decided to move to a different doctor now.

Don't waste your time going to this awful place. They just care about the swipe of that health card. It's even worse if you are black! This place needs to be shut down. I need my results from my blood test I have to go back in and wait, I explain I am sick 🤢 and unable to come in, she said I have to come in and put other patients at risk to get sick also. So cannot get any results or help unless I go back in and wait another 2 hrs. Just to get results. Make it make sense.

Very poor communication. The receptionist doesn't have any consideration and wouldn't even bother to understand and meet what you need. No professionalism at all! Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If only I could give a 0 star I would.

This clinic doesn't answer their phone. They pick up to put you through the automated messaging, then don't answer after you go through the prompts. In the end, system then hangs upon you. They're my closest walk in, so I've tried calling them on many instances (including more than once a day in case they were busy). Don't bother calling to book or make inquiries. When I walked in after going through this one time, they weren't busy (within 5 minutes). They also often lock their doors over 1.5 prior to the end of their operating. If you're planning on going her, go at least 3 to 4 hours early and hope its not "busy". Regarding in person service and care the doctors are always cordial. On the other hand however, like other reviewers say, sometimes the receptionist(s) aren't very welcoming.

OMG! I'm ashame to say this is where I come for my medical care. The front desk workers they need proper training, could someone please teach them phone etiquette. They need a professional person to go in and only focus on phone etiquette, I can see why the ratings are so bad, the worst in scarborough. I'm starting to wonder if when a patient call the clinic, the receptionist can see who's calling and then decides what to do, because this behavior is inhumane for people who call themselves professionals. I worked in the medical feel for 30 plus years, doing various things including answering the phones at the front desk and I always go back to the person on the phone and let that person know that im still here, it's just commom sense, you don't need a college degree for that, WOW! This needs to go to a higher power, you're dealing with sick, nervous, maybe dying patient over the phone. UNBELIEVABLE..

I have been a walk in patient at this clinic for over 7 years. All the doctors and nurses are absolutely thorough with any of my health care concerns. Dr. NASHI IS AMAZING 👏 The appointments could be better organized by front reception, one of the administrators at the front desk is extremely rude, if u dont like ur job , find another., you work with people in the community , some basic manners would be greatly appreciated . Otherwise the health care u receive here is a 5 star 🌟

This place is horrible. I booked my appointment 3 times and it had been cancelled each time . One day when I booked my appointment at an exact timing and went there, they said the timing was wrong so I had to leave again. The waiting time is too long for seeing a Doctor. I Do not recommend this place.

Believe the low reviews. I went in about 3:30 in the afternoon to see a doctor and was told they are booked for the day, yet there was one person sitting in the office. They said call in the morning and make an appointment. It's not a walk in clinic if i have to make an appointment is it? What a joke this place is. if your Ill don't go here. Go somewhere else. Trust me.

I wished I could've left 0 stars as this clinic is very unorganized and the nurses and staff are unprofessional and rude and inconsiderate of patients time. I was called yesterday to come in tomorrow for my results; no appointment was needed. Upon, arriving today, another patient infront of me waiting for his results was asked about an appointment; the man wasn't scheduled for an appointment and was told to come for his results. They gave him his results immediately after. The same exact case for myself, instead, they had me in a run around. had me sit and wait. said they were just waiting for my 'charts', then comes out to ask me to reschedule as if I didn't get up early to arrive there to get my results. RESULTS THAT CAN BE AND SHOULD BE DELIVERED OVER THE PHONE but I guess the doctor loses out on money if we don't visit the office. NEVER AGAIN

The worst walk in clinic that I have ever been too. First of all you have to wait 3 hours to get to see a doctor. And secondly, they miss treat you for Strep throat. They gave me a Asthma inhaler prescription instead of treating me for my strep throat. I even told the doctor I don't have asthma. The worst clinic. I would never go back here ever again.

waiting for 4 hours even you do an appointment 😴 this location is not recommended for walk in, it wasting your time. i waiting for 7 hours then I leaved without seeing a doctor, because i need to pickup my son from school, imagine I dropped my Ohip at 8:30 in the morning then they Said your coming at 11:00am then I wait there 11: 00 am to 1:30 pm, ask them how many time still they didn't call my name. this is the worse clinic that I ever been.

It’s a real shame when you’re trying to reschedule or cancel an appointment especially with a specialist you can’t even get through. That’s one major disadvantage of this place. Dr. kalenga is an excellent kidney specialist and I need to reschedule and cancel an appointment and no one answers the phone so you miss your appointment and then they wonder why you don’t show up well, because you can’t even get through to actually speak to someone. It’s a real disappointment that this clinic doesn’t look at the reviews and make some changes.

If i could give this place zero stars i would. The staff are lazy and inefficient. They also open the doors before 8 am so when you arrive all the appointments are gone yet they you to come at 8 am so then you end up waiting hours and on top of that they work so slow they are atleast 1 hour behind everything which is why they stop taking patients early ... its not a capacity issues its a lazy issue and no effiency or manners... its not right to let your patients sit there for 2 and 3 hours waiting.... very poor service ...will never go back and do yourself a favour and dont bother with this place

My family doctor, Dr. Akila is wonderful, she herself deserves 5 stars, and is such a pleasure to work with! But dealing with the reception is an absolute nightmare, 0 stars. It is so frustrating to just try to book an appointment. I've been a patient at this clinic for over a year and every time I call, I can barely ever get through to anyone. They promise online appointments and booking on their website but none of it is actually available. For someone disabled who has difficulty doing things already, this creates a huge barrier to accessing the help I need. When trying to call to book an appointment, I was once put on hold for 47 minutes before my husband used his phone to also call. He got through and when he said that his wife has been on hold on the other line for so long the receptionist just responded flatly saying "yeah." He then booked the appointment while I was still on hold on the other line. I don't understand how anyone who has received any type of customer service training would think that this is acceptable. The way they talk to you, firstly they assume that I don't have a family doctor here and I have to explain every time that Dr Akila is my family doctor (should they not have another option for family doctor patients?) and secondly, they speak in such a way that makes people feel bad for trying to ask anything. I also deal with hospital visits and must report back to my doctor within a certain period of time but, many times, I've not been able to do that because I can't actually get through to book an appointment. I try calling and run out of energy having to call so many times and wait dealing with all of this. Dealing with this clinic is so frustrating. But again, Dr. Akila herself is amazing, and she deserves so much better.

So fed up with this office. Too bad I'm stuck bc that's where my gp is. The new receptionists have very poor customer service skills. 1) I'm always placed on hold and it's like they forget to get back ti me bc when I hang up after a few minutes and call again they answer. 2) Sometimes they don't say you need to hold...they just say "hello mci" and then I'm talking only to hear the hold sound after....RUDE 3) They take forever and 2 days to say they have my results. I have to legit call myself. 4) When it's time to see the Dr the wait time is ridiculous! I've waited in the room for over an hour one. Most times it's 30 to 40 minutes...and my appointments are always first or second! 5) They NEVER answer their phone Friday or Sunday!!But they're open..... 6) Sometimes they book me as in-person and I'm at home waiting for the Dr to call all day. I said I would like by phone! And....when it's by phone, they set a time but yet my Dr is calling hours after when I'm not available. I then call the office and they say I've missed my appointment..... 7) Their phone often says this number is not available... 8) When I request for my prescription to be sent to Shoppers it's never done until I call MCI like 4 times to remind them. Overall, the place sucks bc of the new people there.

This is the worst office I've been to in my life. It is completely unavailable 90% of the time. Paradoxical answers to questions. Blood test results mean u have to go back to the clinic and WAIT. No booking appointments a day before. Abrupt, always hanging up, no patience. & this is just the secretaries. Don't get me started.

I showed up exactly at 8am and there was no line, however after 10-15min the place did start filling up. The staff was friendly, and the place was clean. The Dr was seeing someone when I got there I waited 1hr . I wish they had some magazines or something, but with smartphones nowadays you have enough to keep you busy.

I've been in pain for a week, was prescribed antibiotics in case it was related. This office has had my results since the 27th and haven't called me. I call them today and the lady says they are booked for appointments? That I need to go online to book an appointment or call back in the morning? No, you book the appointment , better yet tell me what my damn results are.

I never review places, but needed to give this place 1 star to get it off my chest. I experienced all the issues highlighted in other posts - without too much detail: disorganization, rudeness, they don't really care. Not sure of the root cause here, and I feel for our medical professionals, but the end result is that there's no standard of care being provided. Look elsewhere.

Was going Herr for some time as my local walk in and recently they stopped taking walk ins witch has left me in a jam as I am on medical leave from work and when I'm in need of a note they can not help because they no longer take walk in, so I was left to phone consolation witch did no good in the since of much needed time off. Vary upset that they leave the patients in such a jam.

Professional and skilled doctors and nurses who removed my stitches professionally and quickly once I was seen. Came in on a Sunday and apparently on the weekend they prefer walk in's to appointments, ended up waiting an hour and a half before being seen. If possible I'd sooner recommend a weekday appointment, that being said I'm glad I came and will likely use this clinic again in the future. I'd recommend it overall.
