Been going here for 2 months. I'd give more stars if I could. I have a background in other martial arts and was interested in trying Capoeira as something different to what I'm used to. I initially joined mostly for fitness for which it surely provides. I feel the instructor's style and approach to the culture, history and beauty made this a much more meaningful experience for me. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to get fit while doing something beautiful along with some martial skills. The community of students here are also quite supportive and friendly.

Professor Soquete is a wonderful person and an awesome teacher. He speaks clearly and explains things very well. I have thoroughly enjoyed all the classes and learned a lot in a short span of time and really appreciate all the support and guidance from him and all his friendly, warm and supportive students. I would highly recommend Kadara Capoeira whether you are a beginner like me or an advanced student. If you are willing, you will learn and grow well.

I was looking for some sort of gym or martial art school seeing I was completely out of shape and I came across Kadara Capoeira. It is everything I am interested in (martial arts, acrobatics, music, dance, and culture). And based on the reviews I had to try this school out. Day 1 was challenging (for me) but then I knew it was the place/space I needed. I'm five months in, my hubby has even joined me (he had noticed I reached my initial goal). And he loves this school, too. I have a lot more to learn and I'm excited about it. Professor Soquete with all his experience, dedication, and knowledge makes my hubby and I both proud to be his students.

Professor Soquete is an amazing Capoeira teacher who maintains an incredibly supportive Kadara Capoeira community for students of all levels. The location is easy to access with no trouble for parking. Inside, there's enough space for everyone to practice comfortably and anything else the lessons might require, including all the instruments for the music class, also provided by Professor Soquete. Classes are available for all ages and include all elements from Capoeira like the language, culture and music. Students are heavily encouraged to participate at all times which creates a great, inclusive learning environment.

I am truly grateful that my children have found an activity that is a combination of everything they love! Capoeira has given them the ability to express themselves and my family and I are grateful to have found Kadara Capoeira!!

My 14 and 16 year old started capoeira with Kadara Capoeira at the start of the summer. They love it. They have found that it fits in with who they are at heart. The exercise. The playful combat. The warm, encouraging community. The music and culture. They couldn't be happier and I couldn't be happier. Mestre Soquete and his group have created a welcoming, vibrant environment that my family and I expect to be a part of for years to come.

A friend recommended Capoeira to me some time ago. I planned to join him and kept delaying it. Regrettably, he passed away too soon. Finally, a few years later, I honoured him and attended my first class. Upon arrival, I shared my story about my friend with Soquete, the owner, who shared it with the class. They all remembered him, and I was humbled at how they honoured his name. I knew at that moment that good people surrounded me. Soquete is a very patient teacher who lets me learn at my own pace while gently encouraging me. He understands I am here primarily to maintain a healthy lifestyle that involves exercises I am intuitively drawn to and enjoy doing. Capoeira is such a beautiful and fluid art. I get lost in the movement and often forget that I'm learning a form of self-defence. I feel simultaneously feminine and strong!

When I moved away from my previous academy I thought I was finished with capoeira. I didn’t realize that it wasn’t finished with me. It was my destiny to find my new family at Kadara and continue my capoeira journey. Amazing teaching and a fabulous community. Come try out a class and see for yourself!

Professor Soquete is a fantastic Capoeira and martial arts teacher and practitioner. He has a real passion for teaching and takes a cerebral approach to instruction, dedicating much of his time to researching the latest theories of learning and methods to peak performance. His classes are well structured and fun, striking a balance between enjoyment and hard work towards technical mastery. Kadara Capoeira Toronto is the place to train if you want to learn Capoeira and enjoy the journey. Great teacher; great students; great atmosphere; great Capoeira.

I went here for the summer, everyone is very welcoming. The instructor is extremely knowledgeable and is accommadating to various skill levels. The class sizes are small which is good because there is more one on one time if needed. The schedule is great for kids and adults. A great place for anyone looking into Capoeira

My five-year old recently joined the Mini group for 4-6 year olds. Professor Soquete is incredible with the kids-- supportive, engaging-- and the activities are varied enough to keep their attention. From cartwheels to playing the drums, my child is really enjoying these classes so far. The free trial class is a great, no-pressure way to get started, and we like the variety offered by outdoor and in-studio classes.

Such a great experience at Kadara Capoeira! It’s more than just fighting and fitness, there’s a strong sense of community, culture AND music! Virtual teaching and in person is top notch! Ego and attitude is non existent. Highly recommend!

If you’re looking for a good community of people that share a passion for Capoeria this is it. The first class I had at kadara Capoeria, everyone was welcoming and the moves covered were super easy to follow thanks to the guidance of the professor and his students throughout the class

I recently went for a trial class here. The coaches and classmates were all super friendly. There were students of all levels. Prices were very good. Great exercise and a great way to experience a new culture hands on.

I've been training at Kadara Capoeira for about 6 weeks now, and it's honestly one of the best things I could have done for myself. The exercise is great, and my body hasn't felt this good in years. The culture is amazing. Everyone has been absolutely welcoming and supportive, and I'm learning a ton from everyone. Our teacher is incredibly talented, and accommodates all skill levels, as well as being cautious about previous injuries and body types. I honestly can't say enough good things about Kadara.

The environment, both for learning and for interpersonal friendships here is amazing. Soquete is a great instructor and is able to teach any concept to anyone with the patience of a saint. I started learning from him over 10 years ago and the practice and fundamentals taught to me still are relevant to not only capoeira but also to other physical training and conditioning I've done. I cant overstate the love and dedication to capoeira that goes into the atmosphere here, anyone who is new to the sport or willing to learn about the culture and history of Capoeira should try it out.

This is more than a class learning about Capoeira, it’s a supportive community that values everyone’s efforts and skills no matter where they are on their journey. Instructor is personable, committed to the kids and youth. He goes above and beyond classes by having events where everyone has fun and gets to know each other.
