I recently visited Cineplex Cinema in Scarborough, and I must say, it was an outstanding movie-watching experience! From the moment I stepped into the theater, I felt welcomed and excited about the evening ahead. The cinema itself was clean and well-maintained. The seating was comfortable, providing ample legroom and great visibility of the screen. I also appreciated the cleanliness of the theater, as it added to the overall enjoyment of the movie. The audio and visual quality at Cineplex Cinema Scarborough were exceptional. The sound system was immersive, delivering crystal-clear audio that truly enhanced the cinematic experience. The screen was large and provided vibrant and sharp images, making the movie even more captivating. One thing that stood out to me was the wide variety of screen options available at this cinema. Whether you're a fan of blockbusters, independent films, or foreign movies, Cineplex Cinema Scarborough has something to offer for everyone. The diverse selection of films ensures that there's always something interesting and entertaining to watch. Additionally, the concession stand at Cineplex Cinema Scarborough offers a fantastic range of snacks and beverages. From classic popcorn to gourmet nachos and a variety of refreshing drinks, there's a treat for every taste. The prices were reasonable, considering the quality and convenience they provide. Finally, the overall atmosphere of the theater was fantastic. The ambiance was comfortable, and the theaters were spacious enough to enjoy the movie without feeling crowded. The cinema also offers a loyalty program that rewards frequent moviegoers, which is a nice added bonus. You can pay for tickets and food with your Scene Points as well. In conclusion, I highly recommend Cineplex Cinema Scarborough to all movie enthusiasts. The friendly staff, comfortable seating, excellent audiovisual quality, diverse movie selection, and delightful concessions make this theater a top-notch choice. Whether you're looking for a solo outing, a date night, or a fun time with friends and family, Cineplex Cinema Scarborough is the place to go. This is one of our favorite cinema. Great for family and friends. Lots of parking. Staff are nice. You can buy movie ticket now at the popcorn counter. Scarborough Town Center is big and lots of shops. We enjoyed a stroll and checking stores and hang out at food court before watching movie. I highly recommend it.

Very busy theatre. Patrons lined up outside their exterior doors before official opening hours. The inside entrance to/from the STC mall is permanently closed. Inside the theatre is dark and has many cleaning opportunities. Movie tickets are purchased using kiosks only. If you require assistance, check with the staff at the for counter.

Very nice place, friendliest staff amazing food. Definitely a place to get away and amazing screens to view amazing movies. $1.50 for online booking is a buzz kill per ticket, therefore the removal of a star. If not for that and just the movie going experience is amazing. 1 thing which stands out is your ability to mix your drink which allows you to get creative with your drink selection.

I always come to cineplex to have a jolly time before the movie while I wait. They have a bunch of games. Not a lot but enough to keep you occupied and kill time. The guy Jacob by the escape game counter was really helpful and out and about to help me out with everything. Good job. Cineplex be proud πŸ‘

The temperature was good and not too cold as some places tend to freeze the hall. The seats were a bit uncomfortable for the kids, kept folding, and created a gap big enough for the kids to fall into. Aisles are too narrow. There is a designated place for strollers. There's an arcade on site. The staff was friendly. We all had a lot of fun.

I was able to watch an amazing movie there. I'm sure the others enjoyed too. But there were so many people moving here and there. They should have people to administer folks in the cinema. Even some kid was crying all the time and the boys sitting right to me kept on talking. The overall experience was great.

Place is always busy!! Staffs are nice and always smiling. however, the drink area is too sticky to walk to due to spills. They should at least clean the floor on that area every 2 hours. But other than that I love the place. Hoping to visit soon!!!

This theatre is dirty and will provide a poor movie going experience. The people who frequent this theatre have no concept of basic etiquette whatsoever. They will be on their phones the entire movie and they will be talking the entire movie and it's like no one in this place knows any better. It really is unbelievable how basic common sense escapes people at this place. Also, the seats are filthy and so are the bathrooms (which isn't surprising given the above).

Absolutely incredible! I've had a remarkable experience here! Let me elaborate: The Service: It's very good! The people here are very kind and quick with giving you what you need. Popcorn isn't too expensive, and, the best part.. FREE refills! The Theatre: It's clean! Occasionally, people may take your reserved seat but it's not too often. The sound quality is good, and the screen display's great. The ARCADE: There's an arcade attached to this Cineplex, and it's BIG! You've got Big Bass, Halo, DDR and MUCH more! The prizes aren't too bad; like an Xbox One, PS4, and even a Hoverboard. Conclusion: I LOVE this Cineplex! Phenomenal size, and amazingly well maintained. Five stars from me! :)

Came here 2 months ago and they were practicing proper covid social distancing...now today despite omicron spreading, they have guests sitting elbow to elbow in the theater. They've packed everyone at the back and left the front completely empty. They're no longer serving food and masks are to be kept on at all times as expected, but they should warn ticket buyers that they're not following social distancing anymore. Will not be visiting again.

I'll recommend as a superior service from Scarborough Town Center location. They hardly give restrictions on anything. Few days back I went to watch a movie and had to wait and sit and without ticket as we're not allowed. The person who was checking ticket I made a request if I can sir for few minutes and he agreed. Today for my ticket timing Manager Jason handled the situation so nicely and efficiently. Well done Scarborough Town Center Cineplex.

They refused to give my sick father water. A man with stage 4 cancer. Told him to bend over the water fountain. Even though he's barely mobile and has to take pills every 2 hours. Ill say that in order to have a liquor license it is a requirement to supply free tap water. A water fountain does not cut it. I will be filing a complaint against their liquor license over this. A human rights complaint as well for discrimination against a terminally ill man. Especially with how much money we spent there on food and their $10 beers. Despicable.

I webt there last sunday with my daughters to watch little mermaid new movie. We enjoyed but we missed the beginning of the movie because the staff wasn't so sufficient enough to show us where we can find Tthe 3D hall. We took like 15 minutes to find it. Other than that it was magnificent.

Cineplex really going downhill, maybe they are facing bankruptcy. The seats were terrible, the movie just came out a week ago and somehow they think they can charge members a full ticket price for a smaller crammed theatre. The theatre we were in literally felt like it was chopped in half lol. Maybe they think it’s a rental in Toronto where you just make a 1 bedroom apartment into 2 πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚ You should be able to have the best seating and viewing experience. Especially considering all the popcorn and drinks and snacks cost an arm and a leg. I understand why people sneak in their own snacks. These guys are dropping the ball heavy. I can see them closing locations down if they continue to being mediocre and not with the times. The employees I don’t blame but I’ve been to multiple locations and they all seem not happy to be working for Cineplex. How is it you’ve been around for decades and haven’t provided a better movie experience for customers and employees , is beyond me.. The best part about this location is the free parking.

I went there for the first time so my experience was not bad. I had a great te watching the movie but I must say the seats were a little uncomfortable for someone who is 6ft tall. The soda machine doesn't have mountain dew in it so that's a negative point there but overall I had fun watching the movie.

Plenty of parking. But sometimes have to park far away because of rush.Good cinema. I like the free style coke dispenser. D-Box seats are better than normal but not too much. I felt nausea because of the movement. Was questioning the whole moving seat idea all the time. The 3D setup is great. They provide free 3d glasses which u can collect before show starts from outside the auditorium. Thermostat is set on cooler side so better take extra layer with u just in case.

Seats weren't the best. Moved just a little and we're wayy too low. They were quite dirty as well. Seems like they desperately need Reno. Picture and audio quality was upto the mark. No complaints for that. Food at consession was good.

It's a good theatre - the seats are ok, but could be more comfortable! The butter popcorn is too salty; the seat layout & screen is nice. The ladies washroom is used very roughly - was difficult to find a clean stall. The theatre itself is clean and staff is friendly. Overpriced popcorn & drinks. Movie was excellent and selection is good.

The Imaginary place to take your whole family in the cinema. They always put a detailed cardboard. Which is an amazing thing to look at.

Cinema is clean. Like the fact that people sits distance from each other within the same row. Usually, it's a nice relaxing feeling to watch a desired movie here.

Was able to purchase tickets thru machines. The theater was a bit small. There weren't a lot of ppl there but they were close in proximity.

Great theatre for an outdated cinema. Have been coming here for a few times.. great experience. The design kinda looks outdated. But I think they need to improve the seats, it kind is uncomftable for some people, and the design looks like the cineplex cinemas ottawa location. 5 stars at all times. (Need better seats, cleaning, better employees bc the guy we asked for the refill freaked me out, better xscape machines, and an expansion.) To be honest, this is a lot of pictures. Hope google appreciates my edit to this rating.. and probably giving this place a 5 star for now.

It was great visiting there, we saw spiderman movie The only thing was they are not selling food or allowing to bring our own food saying its bcz of covid But they allow to sit next to each other.. so covid is not spreading when we sit like that but is spreading when we buy food Its kind of nonsense

I came here a few nights ago with some friends. We went to the outtakes location and ordered a few drinks off the menu. The servers took over 20 minutes and were only making 3/4 drinks. I took the last one as a refund because I already missed the beginning of my film. The drinks tasted like warm milk with no coffee. I understand the equipment isn't top notch for the employees to work with, maybe its better to not serve the Starbucks options until the equipment is fixed!

I watched Spiderman nwh and it was fantastic. The avx theatre does bring movies to life with the amazing audio and visuals. However what bothered me is the loud as hell crunching of popcorn. I know that this is out of the cinemas control but I thought that it was prohibited to eat to prevent covid or something.

Theater was clean, and the staff was very quick to be ready to clean again once film was completed. Food was ok at best, but with not as much turn over due to covid restrictions it's somewhat understandable.

Not too impressed. Theatres were closed due to Covid. Now they are open, but are garbage. There seemed to be a problem with the picture in my theatre; is that why movie started about 15-20 minutes late? Staff did not inform patrons of situation, just let us guess. My seat could have used some "maintenance" from wear and tear. Men's washroom on second floor was filthy. Not a welcoming environment from such an absence. Need to do more for our business than relying on us "missing movies" and returning in droves...

Pretty good theater still has the older style seating and not full recliners like some other locations

Great place to watch movies, game area inside for the kids and adults who love to play games. I enjoyed going there,I gave four stars because the ticket machine is always going off line and I would have preferred touch less sanitizing dispenser. I still enjoyed going there though.

The staff was good the film was also gud although I slept in half and the staff woke me up πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚but over all experience was good and the ambiance and all other things are also good.

First time going there since moving to Toronto. I loved it, the staff were so friendly, and the theatre was so clean. It was amazing, and so was the movie.

They handled covid protocol better than I expected with good social distancing.

This theater has become so dated. The prices on the concessions have sky rocketed. Seats were not as comfortable as the newer theaters (our new choice is Landmark Whitby or Pickering Cineplex but they didn't have ticket availability). Some other guests had occupied our assigned seats and even aftet they vacated some of them, we did not want to sit there, as they weren't sanitized anymore. In this time, expect an usher in every theater to ensure guests get to their rightful seat. Otherwise you get massively inconvenienced like our party of 7 did and 10 mjn into the show... ruining the experience of other folks in the theater too!! You can do better Cineplex!!!

  • 4/5 Raye C. 2 years ago on Google
First movie since COVID started so I thought I'd write about the COVID precautions during my movie experience. When you book tickets, you have to pick your seats as they have to keep social distance. These rules are ever changing though because when I first booked, they said people could only sit diagonally from one another so I ended up with seats I didn't hate but I didn't love them either. And then at the theatre, there were people in front and behind me. I did NOT appreciate the double standards in booking because I had a conversation with a staff employee and apparently the rules changed one day after I had booked my tickets. Onto the positive, Cineplex employees are readily available and willing to help answer any questions I had. Everything seemed very clean and there was definitely not that many people around the concessions area despite so many movies being screened meaning they probably timed it well and limited the amount of people. For any movie goers, you can eat in the theatre mask-off but if you need to go out for any reason, they will remind you mask-on. Also, any expired movie passes still work (at least the ones I had gotten from Costco still did).
