Toronto Public Library - Albert Campbell Branch

Public library Library

👍👍 The library is huge and newly renovated. The kids zone is really amazing. Their book collection is also very big. They have several professional programs almost every day. They even have a 3D printer. Lots of places to seat and read. The number of quiet room is less. People often mention library, space, staff, great, reading, quiet, work, kids, study, good,

HOLY MOLY, worth every minute of the wait for the renovations to be complete. They went from 2 floors to 5 floors. And I couldn’t believe my eyes. Every corner I turned had more space to study and work. 10/10 finally feels great to pay taxes

Albert Campbell is a great library that has just reopened after a major renovation. The new layout is organized & includes a great new kids area. They also have lots of quiet study rooms. They have a great selection of books, movies, magazines and other materials.

All libraries deserve good ratings. No matter where they are. They provide us with a valuable set of resources that we would not have without large sums of money on our own. They provide programs and access to internet, entertainment and education. To rate any less means one takes for granted what a public library is.

The workers upstairs were always the rudest, they would touch ur belongings without your permission and spoke with so much attitude. Especially that red head supervisor she was the absolute worst. Do better.

What a JOKE. For over a month and a half NO internet or printing service. Mid December 2023, said it would be up and running by beginning of Jan 2024; after being down for two weeks. Half way into the month, services still down. Toronto Librarys is a waste of resources as TAXPAYERS are still paying the taxes, and not getting the services they are entitled too. NEVER SEEN SOO MANY unenthusiastic employees in 1 place. SUCH a sad excuse for a library.

Itès a great place for reading. There are computers, 1 or 3 of the staff are very rude, but the others are very kind. some of the kids there now take the library as a hangout spot, - kindof loud - and the security or librarians don't do anything about it so it gets annoying. the library's full during exams, but I like this library. It's pretty epic. :)

Beautiful library but I’ve found the front desk workers to be extremely unhelpful and rude. I’m not sure if they are just racist but I will not be coming back.

First time at the library. I am surprised at how nice it is, didn’t know they just renovated and reopened recently. Good amount of space with outlets at almost every work space which is great. They have a few private rooms to work in, on a first come first serve basis I got one and enjoyed the private work space.

I have no idea what 'Your Local Crown Victoria Enthusiast' and 'Salma Begum' are talking about regarding Albert Campbell Library. It's been closed for TWO AND A HALF YEARS for renovations! You can't give a positive review for something that isn't even open! Ignore their comments, because they don't know what they're talking about.

Very clean, very quiet as it suppose to be, very elegant, smells fresh, have family and other programs, they even have 3D printer and they walk you through how to use it very advanced and helpful staff, enough parking, ♿️ accessible so I haven't find a single thing to complain so I give it 5 stars.

Library is closed now for renovations and I expect it to be delayed slightly due to COVID, but this was a very good library to study at. The children would almost always stay upstairs so the ground floor was quiet. If you needed more silence there was a quiet room. Volunteers were always welcome. Hours were great too.

It's a fantastic location that spans three floors. The ground floor is the library with a children's section on the 2nd floor. The basement is for events and has bathrooms. There's a wide selection of books, as it's a bigger branch than most, but anything you can't find you can always put on hold anyways. It's generally a good, quiet place to get some work done or to do some reading. Staff have always been polite and friendly. I cannot recall any bad experiences with the librarians.

2022 I was verbally insulted / assulted by two teen in the Computer room up stairs. They also threat me " will see you outside". I complained to the librarians in writing. Yesterday, seems the same(not 100% sure) teens throw rolled wet paper towel at me from the back. One hit me in the ear and go over my hat and hit the computer screen. They refused and I asked librarian / staffs help to check the camera but the staff refused. And since the the wet paper towel balls came from back and since I did not see directly so they will not help me. So, I called 911 and both teens left the library right away. I was with Police non emergency line over hours and my phone run out of battery , also the library closed. Today , I called the police to meet me to take the report. PLease be aware bay kids do come here and the staff or the third party security will not be any help.

Very nice library. But these days all the seating areas with tables are completely crowded. I walked in almost every day for the week and it is extremely busy until Friday. wish there were more tables and seats. The place looks too modern. Wish it looked cozy like an old-school library ambiance for reading. Most people who visit are here for using their laptops and not reading.

Good place for working and reading. You can stay all day long for work done. Although there are not enough charging ports, but the wifi is very good and printing is very cheap: only 15 cent per page. The amenities are very good. There is a plaza right beside the library and you can have cheap lunch options ($6 to $7), grocery shops and many other shops.

Newly-renovated for accessibility and aesthetics. Good amount of study space with chargers, and far more washrooms.

This building looks like a prison. Of course Toronto Public Library gives black and brown communities uninspired buildings and white communities get beautiful designs.

I love the place so beautiful ,peaceful ,quiet and staff are nice. I gave a 4 out of 5 bec of the washrooms. How I wish male n female washrooms should be separated and at least they will clean 2-3 times a day ..otherwise perfect..

Amazing Reno and lots of new tech along with a variety of computer and study stations. Hands down best library in the GTA now.

I have no idea how this library is but I mean, it's a library so it's prob like a 3 star. ALTHOUGH, this is The Weeknd's childhood library and he visited in spring 2019 for a quick Instagram post at this library

It will be better if there is no group of Indians (may be new commers immigrants) often come there. They talk aloud and never respect others . We just want to have a calm environment for reading.
