Amazing Coffee Bean Selections with hundreds of options. They have a perfect location, considering there are no other roasters nearby, and there's also no traffic on that street for easy pick-up. Plus, they're right a hop, skip, and a jump away from my residence. Very friendly welcoming folks. They are really passionate about coffee. If you ever get a moment to chat with them, you'll know what I'm talking about. They have a great after hrs pick-up system.

This is my new goto place to get for my caffeine addiction. The beans are reasonably priced, and they are able to do same day pickup for small orders. I would highly recommend this place and I look forward to trying as many variety of coffee beans they have to offer.

This has been my go to place for coffee beans since pandemic. I was a daily Starbucks visitor until all the stores were closed when COVID starts. So I bought a C40 grinder and a V60 dripper to start my own coffee journey. I compared several roaster, downtown/uptown/Markham etc. Dark City is the farthest to my home, but is now my only place to get my beans. Dark City has very clear menu, plain but clear, so I know what I am buying. I can easily identify which beans I love and stick to it. All the beans are made on demand at the roast level I want. this is important to me as I may have the same beans roast in different levels to compare the taste difference. No need to mention the beans are very fresh with great quality. (when I bloom the coffee grounds I always smile). Last but not least, the price. their package is half pound or a pound. I saw several other roasters using 300g package. even with that package their price are higher than the full pound (454g) package that Dark City is using. BTW, Dark City has an interesting working time. they take days off on Friday and Saturday. and they finish the day early ( around 2 or 2:30 PM I think). So I usually order on Fri or Sat, they will make it on Sun morning, and I pick up at Sun noon.

11/10 - You *must* try this roaster! : ) I was a winemaker in Niagara for 5 years, life-long food & chem nerd, etc. I've been tasting high quality small batch roasted coffee for twenty years, lived in Halifax, St Cats, London ON. Didn't taste every roaster, but *many* in these cities, and nobody has ever come close to what these guys can do. It's painfully obvious they don't just "set it and forget it", and what comes out comes out. Even with all the computer-controlled curves available these days. They're tweaking the heating & cooling curve in crazy ways to get just the right ... chem things... going on in there! I have no clue! But it's incredible to taste. To Dark City: Thank you for the work your team does to free the wonderful notes from these beans!

If you are looking for a really good quality coffee, then that’s the best place for you. I visited their store without any preorder, and just in 20 minutes I received fresh, custom, and for acceptable price coffee beans. Workers there are very friendly. Without any issues they are willing to help and choose coffee beans that you personally likes. I really recommend this place to all true coffee lovers.

I’ve been ordering coffee from them for years. There are not enough reviews of this truly wonderful company. Exceptional selection of superb beans freshly and perfectly roasted to order, appearing on your doorstep by next day (sometimes strangely late the same night). Prices are competitive with or cheaper than lousy stale chain coffee. Customer service is consistently outstanding. I’ve been ordering from Jully for years by email and occasionally phone long before there was an online order portal. She is an absolute pleasure to deal with and when I’ve forgotten to specify the roast or whole bean gets it right anyway cuz she knows her customers! I’ve brought their coffee on request for relatives living in various places known for excellent coffee. But they still want Dark City after having It at my place.

Best selection and quality of roast in the gta. Worth the drive. Roasts to order. There is more to life than hipster downtown roasters. Dark City is tops.

Unexpectedly came across Dark City Coffee in 2020 and happy to have found them again in 2023. Some of the most knowledgeable people I've briefly spoken to and not to mention some of the kindest. While they don't do any advertising, I can confess that they stock some of the best coffee I've ever made at home and at a very reasonable price! TLDR; 10/10 across the board, ordering more as we speak

I havent tried the beans, although the facility looked clean, well-kept and organized. I was mainly disappointed that they dont sell espresso drinks on the spot since there is basically no café at all in good 10m radius that sells proper espresso drinks.

Great place to instantly order freshly roasted coffee beans. They a good selection of beans from around the world including fair trade ones. You can have them delivered or pick it up at the store. Hours are a bit different than you would expect so check the times on their website before ordering so you know when they are going to be roasting.

I initially did not write a review 2 years ago, but only gave 5 stars. So that said, I wouldn't go anywhere else to buy my coffee beans. The fun part is trying out the many regions and expanding my palate. Super fast shipping, and if you're local, you can pick it up pretty much the same day!

Really friendly staff. I went in without pre-ordering my blend and they did their best to accommodate me. Very knowledgeable and helped me a lot during my coffee bean selection and offered to freshly roast them for me.

I tried the Bali Kintimani and once I adjusted it to a finer grind than I typically use for brew coffee, its the best dark roast beans I have tried in a long time. Very full body and smoky and definitely not dominant with acidity. Their roast to order concept is amazing. I got two more bags to try (extra butter, IV drip) and then I'm coming back to order some more!

What a variety of beans! I only drink decaf and anywhere else I've tried the selection of swp decaf coffee is quite pathetic but Dark City is extraordinary. Thank you!

Favourite place in town pick up freshly roasted beans. Order them in the early morning and they're always prepared promptly and available for same day pickup. The staff are incredibly friendly as well. Pricing is very comparable. So fortunate to have found them this gem in the city.

I have been buying my beans from here for the past 2 years and it is definitely the best place to buy freshly roasted coffee beans in Toronto. The staff there (along with heir office kitty) are super friendly and they stock a million variety of beans to so you'll never get bored. Just brewed mine a few minutes ago and their recommendation was exactly what I was looking for so I thought I should rave a little about it here. Very much recommended.
