The staff members are roaming around like they are in Mall for shopping and playing music on the Computers. First and Last mistake of my life. Please save your life and try another hospital.

One of the worst experience in medical. My wife had severe stomach pain. Went there at 6pm. Just got tested by a doctor and given Tylenol (after 3 hrs) and was asked to sit for ultrasound. Waited till almost 11pm but nothing. Finally decided to just leave and go home. Emergency word is a joke here

Took my girl friend there for her right side arm pain as she fell down the stairs..progressively has gotten worst the pain so we decided to go to emerge . Doctor dismissed her and said to not over exaggerate. No x ray has been performed. This place makes me sick with the lack of care from doctors. It's time for the government to step in and analyse the performance. To see if the doctor treatment are up to standards.

Terrible experience here at emerg. The nurses are rude and don't care about you as a person, just get you in and out . Terrible what our Canadian Healthcare has come to , but here we are . Not a good experience going to emergency at this location.

It cannot be worse. We left after 4 hours without seeing a doctor, my husband had shingles and he was in a lot of pain. Horrible nurse deciding who goes in and who doesn't. My husband had to go to another hospital during the night to get help.

The Covid 19 measures is not that really fully implemented i must say. The entrance and exit are the same, the waiting time is super long...there is not much hospital staff and seriously speaking they are super lousy. We are in a first world country with a third world ER.

Went in for my 3 year old son. We waited for 5 hours and the doctor literally spend 30 seconds with us. He just said everything looks normal. It was my worst experience. I know that my son has infection. Even the nurse at the registration saw it. But looks like the doctor was blind. I dont know where we are living. Worst experience! No help at all!

Doctor in emergency sent my mom home stating she had hemmroids. She lost large amounts of blood and he didn't even rule out other possibilities. She's never had them and we insisted that hemmoroids wasn't the case. Two days later we're back again with the same issue 10x worse, only to find out it's diverticulitis. Misdiagnosis and speaking Arabic in front of patients with the other doctor about patients (because I too speak the language but didnt let them know). The same doctor from the previous day stayed far away from my mom because if he had stepped anywhere near my mother with his Toys R Us degree I would've become ballistic. This hospital has slid gracefully to a bottom feeder slot for obvious reasons. The best ER doctor is the Greek doctor whose usually on at night, and if he isn't here go elsewhere.

They work worse than third world country. What is the purpose of emergency when you sitting for over 7 hours before you see a doctor. Coffee breaks are more important.

Too bad google doesn’t have a zero star option. How can the hospital only have one doctor at the ER at night? I came in at 2am and now it’s 5am, I am still in the waiting room waiting for a simple patch up. The place isn’t even busy. Nurses are not helpful at all!!! I waited for three hours with a bleeding head and nobody could even get me some water. This is how low our health care system has gone huh?

Great place to die faster and see others not getting treated. If u have a serious illness. Sell whatever u have and seek treatment in other countries.

Had to take my mom in when she was vomiting and had a sharp pain in her kidney. The hospital is so outdated and I'm pretty sure they only have 1 doctor for the entire place. On top of that, the hospital had their system downtime for 1.5hr including the lab. They couldn't see any patient info during this time. I overheard the nurses say it happens almost every other night. We left after 3 hours and not having seen a doctor. All emergency departments are slow but this one is just beyond ridiculous. Save yourself from the extra stress and go to another hospital.

Went there the other day to emergency. The nurses and staff were great. Very friendly and calm. They have to deal with all sorts of people and all kinds of issues and emergencies. People need to be patient. They are doing their job and if it's an emergency they will see you as your emergency dictates. You treat them with respect and kindness you will get further then being rude and obnoxious. We are all there because we believe we have an emergency. They are professionals who are their because they wanted to help people. Let them do their job. To all the staff and nurses there Tuesday night. Thank you. Your appreciated and valued

Went to this ER twice in the span of 3 days. The wait times were not as bad I expected, first visit I was in and out in 6 hours, second time 3.5 hours with my problem diagnosed and a clear treatment provided. The nurses, technicians, and doctors were thorough, kind, and knowledgeable. Although wait times - especially when in pain - can be frustrating, one has to keep in mind that the staff is not at fault, but rather, the government and administration is to blame for their gutting of healthcare and turnover of workers. As an aside, try going around 1:00-4:00 AM to get the least amount of wait time.

Staff are doing their best. The overall Health system is getting worse. Hospital’s emergency is under staffed. Nurses are running around like bees but it it not enough. Health Canada, you need to take an action. More staff need to be hired. Patients are in excruciating pain waiting for several hours without the proper help they need.

I was treated the worst at this hospital. At approximately 10:58pm on Tuesday 23rd of August. There was an Asian lady at the desk and she was not empathetic. Imagine my dad is not from canada and she rudely explained how expensive it is and how my credit could take a hit. I am sure there is a more professional way of explaining the services and cost the hospital services. I left and went to Scarborough general instead. Simply because it was much better service.

If there was something less than a star I would have given that. Came here due to an emergency as she had some complications we waited almost 3.5 hours in the emergency and inquired how long it would take and the nurse replied saying there were people who were waiting more than 5 hours. So inefficient. Terrible hospital !!

I went early in the morning to avoid the crowds. I left three hours later and it was significantly busier. I went to get a simple test for a possible exposure to a non-communicable, but dangerous disease. The PPE that was mandated was poor. The masks were the variety that surgeons wear during surgery to protect themselves from bodily fluids. They're great for that. I had a mask that far better conformed to my face, but was told to wear one of these surgical masks. The problem with these masks when it comes to COVID-19 and other pathogens (TB, the flu, a cold, various zoonotic diseases, etc.) that are spread via normal breathing is that they puffed out on the sides so large that a finger could fit between the mask and the wearer's face. Better than no mask, but not a huge amount better than cosmetic for our current pandemic. After a long, but understandable wait, I saw the doctors and got the test taken and was on my way. No issues here. Now the stressful part. The disease in question is easily treated with antibiotics, but left untreated could result in lifelong chronic conditions. I called the lab and got various answers (not available, we don't talk to people, we don't talk to your family doctor [who was identified during initial visit], call x, call y, call z, etc.). I called the emergency room. One person said she had not heard of the doctor. I perhaps called the wrong number, maybe Birchmount or General. Nope, called the next day with the same number and someone said that doctor was not in at the moment and she could in fact confirm he did exist. That's okay. I finally was helped by my family doctor who tried multiple different avenues. She worked very hard through the labyrinthine, byzantine system and wasn't even successful at the beginning. Luckily she was finally able to navigate the system and I got the results. So much more stress than it needed to be, had to get my doctor involved when I should have been able to deal with it with the emergency doctor, and a cavalcade of various (in)competencies encountered along the way.

They are always understaffed, Patient don't feel cared here. Doctor would check you once and then never show up and the worse part is there is no space for patient to wait for. You will feel you wasted 10-12 hours when your loved one could better treatment somewhere else. I regreat coming to this health facility, this place is a joke.

Unfortunatly there is no negative review system in google. Or they would have got -5 from me. They are severly understaffed and they don't have accomodation for patient. I was admited there as I was suffering weakness due to vomits. Not only there was no beds there was no sitting arrangements as well I was admited for a night there (10 pm to 8am) I left unattented feeling worse then I actually was due to poor care and no rest. This facility should shut dowm.

πŸ‘ Was in ER for 16 hrs from yesterday. Giving 4 stars because the female doctor who treated me last night, was very thorough and knowledgeable. She did her best.
