Perfect location and a well thought out model. The owners were incredibly attentive and communicate with you in advance of your arrival to greet you warmly and get you to your room with no fuss. Great location near heart of Toronto. Reasonably priced, clean and modern rooms. My bed was very comfortable and I felt pretty clever for having found this gem. I imagine a bottle of wine on the rooftop would have been a nice addition if only the weather was better. Maybe next time. Thank you ode!

Wonderful and charming place to stay while in Toronto. We enjoyed the location as many things are in walking distance and public transit is right out of the front door. The room was very clean and decorated nicely we were very comfortable. The owners also made sure anything we needed was promptly taken care of and made us feel very welcome. Definitely check this place out if you're staying in Toronto.

I booked this room for the last stretch of a long trip and I am so glad that I did. The room and space is beautiful and tasteful, the bed and bedding is super comfortable (the most important feature that never gets mentioned in reviews) and the service was great. As the last leg of trip I was exhausted but Erica and Tiff were more then accommodating with a few favours I cheekily asked of them. Queen West is now my favourite place in Toronto.

We had a two night stay at Ode at the end of August. From booking, to our welcome to our stay, our room and amenities were fabulous. So much to experience and see within walking distance. Great recommendations. Checking in on our stay. The room had everything we needed.

This was the most amazing stay we have had in Toronto. Erica is a super kind host and the rooms are beautiful. The location is perfect with the 505 in front of the door. We have had a late check out, which was so nice because of our late flight. Thank you so much Erica!

Ode was a wonderful choice for our trip. The space is so unique, quiet, and secure. We were able to walk to most of our chosen destinations and experience even more of the city than we thought we would (while working off all the fantastic food)! Transit is very accessible, but we did not utilize it much. Erica was welcoming and always available to help guide or answer questions. The rooms are certainly small, but it was enough room with our medium sized bags to fit in. The bed was comfy although a bit toasty for us. Musts: Bellwoods Brewery Get Well for pizza (late night snack! Have 2 slices, will not regret)

I used to treat hotel stays as an inevitable part of my trip, something to rest a tired body and get going in 6h…until I met Ode. The design, the details, the choices, the vibes, the storytelling: immaculate. I loved everything about it and the people behind it. Tiff was amazing and readily available (how do you do that!?) from the big things to the small requests. I used to find Toronto pretty meh. This trip, I started falling in love with it. And Ode played a huge part.

I am so glad I chose Ode when visiting Toronto for a weekend trip. The room set up was exactly what we needed. The owner was great to communicate with and accommodating to my requests. Beautiful room in such a fun neighbourhood.

The best experience in long time. The stay was lovely, from the room comfort to the impeccable service. I 100% recommend and I am looking forward to coming back sooner than later. Plus the location is so convenient. It's inspiring to see how the family behind Ode is building their legacy, excellently!

We loved our stay! We were only in Toronto for 2 nights sadly, but this was the perfect area to explore. Our room was super comfortable, with plenty of space and lovely touches that made it feel like home. Super easy check-in process and great atmosphere. We can't wait to visit Ode and Toronto again!

Amazing place to stay! The room was really nice, clean and cozy. There is a communal patio space with a lovely view and beautiful art. The area is also full of places to check out. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay! The location was fantastic, the communication and service from Tiffany and her family was perfect - all the personal touches and details made this stay perfect. We loved the room, and the awesome recommendations!! I can’t say enough good things about our stay, we will definitely be recommending this to anyone else travelling to Toronto!

Ode is a gem! The room was beautiful and immaculately clean. The kitchenette area was perfect. The owners are welcoming and easily available. The neighborhood is eclectic and offers everything. I will definitely be returning. If you want to support local businesses and creatives, stay here! It does not disappoint 💛

Ode is a wonderful space from which to enjoy everything Toronto has to offer. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The care the owners have put into this space makes you feel like they’ve curated a stay just for you! The hotel is a short (20 min) streetcar ride from many of Toronto’s tourist attractions (City Hall, the Eaton Center, Dundas Sq.), but the area around the hotel has so much to enjoy: restaurants, parks, shops, and bars. I look forward to being back!

A wonderful stay at Ode. Erica was so welcoming and flexible with my evolving arrival time. The rooms are spacious and with just the right amenities. The rooftop deck is lovely for a late night drink or morning coffee. I only wish my stay was longer, and I can’t wait to go back! Thanks again to everyone

Spent Valentine’s Day here with my husband. Loved it!! The location was perfect, bed was comfortable, and check-in went super smoothly. I guess the only awkward thing was that the bathroom sink was kind of in the shower due to the layout of the bathroom, so after a shower, the floor below the sink is wet. Luckily I had brought flip flops, so wasn’t much of an issue. Anyway, I would definitely stay here again :)

Sometimes you just want to gatekeep beautiful hidden spots but this place deserves to be shared with all! Where do I even begin! Loved my stay so much at Ode that I’m already trying to carve out time in my schedule to return to Toronto. A true hidden gem in the midst of a vibrant bustling neighborhood that gave me all the feels. I stayed in The Global room, which overlooks the street, and it was amazing. The sounds of an eclectic bustling city lulled me into a great sleep and made me so excited for the next day of exploration on my mini vacation. The family that owns Ode was so hospitable and honestly you can see and feel all the love and dedication they put into this place to make it an oasis home away from home for their guests!

The owner was wholeheartedly welcoming when I came into the place. This place is run by family and each room has different "themes" making the stay unique to you. The location is great, and the room was very clean with no noticeable wear and tear. Having a smart TV is a big plus on my book. My only nitpick is that there wasn't a chair and a table where I could comfortably do my work on.

This place is absolutely phenomenal. Erica and team are so helpful and their level to service is the best I’ve experienced at a small boutique hotel. After traveling around and seeing Toronto this is definitely the best neighborhood for walking to local bars and restaurants. Will definitely visit again next time in Toronto.

I went to Toronto two weeks in a row for work in March, and found Ode via a location search. I was looking for something close to my company's office, but the location is independently great as well (close by to some great walking/eating strips, for example). Ode was significantly cheaper than other alternatives in the area for my dates, but still I was blown away by the quality. It's a small, boutique, family-run hotel, and I felt like I was given amazing service via almost-instant replies to text queries and e-mails. Any issues or questions I had were resolved immediately. The rooms were designed and decorated beautifully, and everything was comfortable and functional in addition to being aesthetically pleasing. The owners clearly care very much about the space and the customer experience, and I had a great time! Looking forward to hopefully being called back for another work trip in the summertime so I can take advantage of the rooftop patio!

Ode is a great place to stay in Toronto. Perfectly located in a trendy well linked neighbourhood. Rooms are incredibly comfortable and modern. Staff are always responsive and friendly. Would definitely stay there again.

Loved our time at Ode. A great place to stay when visiting Toronto, next to so many restaurants/shops and very walkable and safe. There was street noise from the street car going by at night, which might bother light sleepers so would recommend ear plugs. Great value for location.

  • 5/5 Laurien R. 7 months ago on Google
Ode is an absolute gem! It is a family run business and they make you feel so at home. If you're looking for a restaurant ask them for any advice. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The rooftop terrace is a great place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or a drink after strolling around the neighborhood. The neighborhood has a fun vibe and there are lots of great restaurants. Getting to downtown Toronto is easy from Ode. The street side of the hotel can be a bit noisy so if that bothers you book a room at the backside of the hotel.

I was dubious about the five star rating, but I check out tomorrow after a four night stay and I am now fully aware of why the Ode has this rating. Great communication, clean, tidy and quiet. This family run business treats it's customers like extended family. They have made great use of small spaces here, and I enjoyed the tiny bathroom even though I thought it would be an issue. Must be all of 6ft x 6ft but they have made it work! Super large kitchen and living in a studio type setup. Bed was comfy, and Aircon kept me happy temperature/airflow wise. I would highly recommend this accommodation, it's in a great little area with food and drink and supplies all near by, the light rail or TTC station is right out the front door and to the left about 50m.

Such a gem! We stayed in one of the smaller rooms for two nights and it was very comfortable with lots of nice amenities. Everything was very clean and the art was fantastic. We really appreciated the quality of the appliances and will absolutely stay again!

I'm so happy that I decided to stay at ODE during my trip to Toronto. The location was perfect, and I found the area to be very walkable with plenty of food choices around. The hotel was clean, beautiful, and I felt very welcomed and comfortable during my stay. Would absolutely stay here again!

Ode is such a unique spot. Perfect location to be walking distance of everything you could need, but also easy access to downtown and a quick streetcar ride to the subway. It's so obvious that every room was designed with care and love (and excellent taste). Love being able to be in the heart of it but also have a cozy place to retreat to. And the rooftop is amazing!

  • 5/5 Elizabeth C. 2 years ago on Google
I would live here forever if I could! The rooms are beautiful and so well designed and I love that each one has a piece of art from a local artist. Dundas West is one of the best streets in Toronto! So many great restaurants and bars to grab a snack and a drink and amazing stores to shop at and support local small businesses. In the summer, nothing beats the roof top patio at Ode for a chill hang in the sun!

I have the best time when I come stay at Ode! It’s located in the cutest neighbourhood in Toronto where the best restaurants and shops are literally just a few steps away, it’s incredible. The family who runs it is so kind and welcoming I feel right at home. You’re going to love your stay at Ode!

Location location location! One of the things I love about Toronto is the amazing food culture. Ode is surrounded by so many amazing restaurants that I didn’t get to try them all! I’ll definitely be staying in this beautiful establishment again so I can visit the rest.

Whenever we come to toronto to see family we stay here and it is amazing! It’s such a great location, very welcoming and great transportation super close by. The rooms are always very comforting and they are always updating the amenities every time we have come. It’s such a good find and we will continue to stay on our toronto visits.

This place is such a great spot in the heart of the city! Perfect location with easy walking access to so many delicious restaurants and bars. The attention to design and detail from beginning to end is incredible, cozy and inviting (we booked the Global room). Communication with the family that runs Ode was also excellent if we ever needed anything. Would highly recommend to friends and family and stay again ourselves. Thank you, Ode!

This place is a hidden gem. But I'll bet not for long! Location is perfect on Dundas west - we stayed over Christmas break - can only imagine summer time on this block and on their rooftop patio. And the owners are amazing. Black and female owned, super thoughtful and custom/local design elements. All the things that make Toronto the best can be found here.

We recently spent three nights at ODE while visiting friends & family in Toronto. I can't think of a better location - a minute to the Dundas streetcar stops, surrounded by excellent stores, restaurants, and cafés, and an easy walk to our favourite places in the city. ODE itself is a great place to stay - responsive hosts, a beautifully curated room with attention paid to the smallest of details, and a well-stocked kitchen + bathroom (a more futuristic microwave I haven't seen). Would highly recommend!

Hands down the BEST place to stay when visiting Toronto or when needing a break and wanting to stay in a hotel! The family who runs this hotel goes beyond anything you expect. They are friendly, welcoming, engaging, communicative and they know the area extremely well so have all the best places (restaurants, bars, cafe's galleries etc) to recommend. The rooms are gorge and all have themes which are based on various local artists and artwork! The LOCATION is perfect - close enough to down town (if you want the sky rise feel) but rooted in a quaint, cool, and lively neighbourhood (Little Portugal). This place is a must - check it out!

We picked Ode because of the modern design and art work featured in the rooms. It was pretty clear that the team put a lot of thought behind the building. Getting to see the mural on the rooftop was really cool. We also made some friends on the roof that we plan on staying connected too. I love it here.

Had an amazing stay at Ode! We had great service throughout and loved how unique and beautiful our room was. The rooftop was a great spot to chill and people watch along Dundas West. The location was perfect and next to tons of restaurants and bars! I can't wait to come back!

My girlfriend and I stayed here mid May and it was amazing! The communication was soooo awesome. We both appreciated that so much!! The location was great, and the room was beautiful! We will definitely be coming back and staying with Ode next time in Toronto! Thank you for a great experience! 😊🙏🏼❤️

Really cute spot, with easy walking access to loads of cool cafes/bars/restaurants. Super friendly communication from Tiff and her family throughout. I'd describe it as having all the best things about an air bnb and a hotel, combined. If back in Toronto, I'll be staying here!

Ode is a much needed addition to Toronto’s west side. Finally a place to stay that feels like home. The rooms expertly balance style and comfort — steps from the city’s best restaurants and shops. Great for extended visits. Will stay again and again.

Ode is a hidden gem in the city!! The owners are phenomenal and clearly show so much passion in their business and their work. The room was so clean and decorated very well. It’s in walking distance to so many great neighborhood's and very accessible with transport. It’s a great price for what you get :)

A true hidden gem in a neighbourhood teeming with character. Our room was immaculately clean and decorated. Many of the locally-made touches, such as dinnerware in the kitchenette, were both beautiful and practical. The shower was great, as was the air conditioner. The queen bed was very comfortable. The rooftop terrace was a nice touch; privacy and coziness amongst the craziness of downtown Toronto was marvellous. Communication with the owner was top notch, before and during our stay. Her mother is also the innkeeper, and she was incredibly sweet to interact with in person. The only drawbacks would be that the bathroom was a little bit cramped (which is understandable, given the type of building it is) and the noisiness of Dundas Street (especially the streetcars) could also be a deterrent. But overall, and absolutely delightful stay; we felt like we received great value for the quality of the room and the price we paid.

The hotel is in a fabulous location. Host was very communicative and left detailed instructions. You can tell they care very much about their business and that guests have a welcoming environment. Loved our little room. It had everything we needed to be comfy when we weren't exploring Toronto. Definitely 1st on the list to stay when I return to the area.

My husband and I stayed here for five nights last month to celebrate our anniversary, and Ode was exactly what we were looking for. We predominantly corresponded with Erica, who was quick to respond via text and offered some great local recommendations. Our room was beautifully decorated and quite comfortable, including great kitchen amenities (and some tasty snacks). Erica mentioned that the A/C can be a little noisy for some people, so we also had access to a fan, but we weren't bothered by it. The rooftop patio was also a lovely place to hang out! We really appreciated the local restaurant recommendations, and we visited several of them during our stay. Ode is also very conveniently located to public transportation, with a stop less than two minutes away. I would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone looking for a great spot in Little Portugal!

  • 5/5 Lucy W. 1 year ago on Google
The perfect place to stay in Toronto! The room was beautiful with such comfy beds and everything you could need. We fell in love with the location, so many great bars and restaurants in the area whilst also being close to the more touristy attractions if that's what you want. 10/10 would highly recommend.

Booked this room for a short trip for a wedding and to do some exploring in the downtown area. The location was perfect and the room, space and even the rooftop patio we had access to was so beautiful!!! Amazing service, Erica and Tiffany were so nice and accommodating! Thank you again for ensuring we had a great stay in Toronto! :)

Beautiful family-owned boutique hotel in Toronto. So much better than the big chains. The location is fantastic and in a great, lively part of town close to all the best entertainment and food. The rooftop patio is gorgeous and the rooms are well equipped and beds are comfortable. Great vibes at this place and will definitely be back next time in Toronto!

Excellent room, very clean and comfortable. Location was amazing with tons of excellent restaurants and bars right next door. Service went above and beyond, extremely accommodating and immediately created a welcoming environment. Can't recommend this place enough for those staying in Toronto and looking for something that is comfortable and easy walking distance from many of the more popular spots in town.
