Excellent service, food, wine, location and feel! We had an amazing meal of the menu de la mer (sea set menu) €28.50 and menu de la petite Provence (Provence set menu) €24.50. Both had an appetizer, entree and dessert. The Provence menu has your option of appetizer as a buffet of salads, pates, charcuterie, etc and it was wonderful. The seafood is really good quality. It is a great price for the quality and portions of food you get and it was all delicious. Very well cooked and wonderful taste. Healthy, fresh, and a bit of love. Our server was very kind and elegant. The place was full by 8pm. I highly recommend this place, it is an award winning restaurant in the region and they will treat you well, tourist or not. The interior is very cozy and ambient. Feels old and they’ve kept part of the old kitchen as the main grill. So nice to eat fresh from the fire. At the end we even got a bit of chocolate truffle that looked like house made. Nice touch! A little kitty waits outside the restaurant for fish bones because even he knows the food here is good. Very cute.

This meal was so authentically Provencial, the only thing missing was a dancing candle asking you be its guest. You WILL have the lavender creme brulee. You WILL thank me for this advice. So good. I don't even like dessert, typically. Seriously, a trip to the south of France needs at least one meal experience like this. It made me a better person??? Oh and the price? Laughably affordable. I feel dumb for spending more at less deserving restaurants.

A really old place with warm atmosphere. Meat is their speciality, you can find duck, pork, chicken, beef… The staff is really helpful and great at their job. Also, there are lots of dishes like salads, meat and even shrimps! An excellent restaurant! I totally recommend the cote de boeuf.

Exceptional meal in a beautiful restaurant with friendly owners and waiters. We had the mixed grill and pili pili wood fired shrimp, paired with a delicious local red wine recommended by the waiter. The meal was cooked to perfection! We ended off with the crepe for dessert which was made at our table side, over a gas fire. Overall one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had!

Really friendly service. Arrived close to closing time but the team were very accommodating. The lavender crème brûlée was delicious!

Ordered a well done steak the way l like it but it was raw, sent it back but it was just butterflied and still raw.

I can’t wait to leave a comment, this is the best meal we had in Aix! I took seafood menu, the fish is fresh, the portion is big, I love the crème brûler à lavande. My husband took the meat menu, the entree buffet is so good, especially the pepperoni, amazingly good! What a pity that we are leaving tomorrow! I highly recommend!

The bouillabaisse had a good flavor and lots of fresh seafood inside! The grilled duck breast was a bit burned though so it tasted a bit bitter. If not we would’ve given 5 stars. Lovely environment. Great place for a date night.

The restaurant has a nice authentic ambience and seems pretty popular, but we were disappointed with the food. We took a sea complex menu and bouillabaisse, all the food was not on a high level. The fish in both main dishes was tasteless, as well as garnished vegetables. Deserts were nice but not outstanding by any means. We asked the owner for a wine recommendation and the recommended wine was very simple and cheap on taste but cost 36€ for a bottle. This restraurant is also popular for grilled meat, maybe this would be a better choice. We would not come back to check.

Couldn't get in the first time as the place was fully booked! Finally manage to get into this popular restaurant on 2nd attempt at lunch time. Definitely understand why this place is a well sought after place. Food is amazing. Staffs are friendly and the entire place gives you a homely feeling. Would definitely recommend to people (book to avoid disappointment!). 👍

Place was OK. Maybe ordering steaks would have been a better choice; the prawns and fish were over cooked and under seasoned. Dessert of crème brûlée and profiteroles were better than the main plates. Wine was great!

The dish I ordered was just average unfortunately. The spaghetti was overcooked. The same with the scallop. It is a steak house that specialises with firewood, maybe i should have ordered the steak instead.

Waited at entrance and was greeted by server. The place looked busy but not full. He asked whether we had a reservation. We said no, so he looks back and tells us to follow him. He leads us into the restaurant but then we're intercepted by some some other server and she also asks whether we had a reservation and then tells us that they're full. I point out that the fellow just told us to follow him to a table. Surely it wasn't to be told this. She said, no - completely full. No suggestion about how long a wait, or any sort of apology. Completely dismissive. Was she at the end of her tether? Was there a darker reason for her behavior? Who is to say. You just don't do things like this.

Fantastic! Food was absolutely delicious and steak was well-cooked. Staff were super friendly and atmosphere was really something special. Couldn't fault it.

Very homie restaurant. Food is good but not outstanding as fish was slightly over cooked. One to try if you are staying in Aix for more than a couple of days.

The menu for 22 EUR was nice, but not great. The mashed potatoes had lumps in it. The wine wasn’t great either.

Being South African we wanted an authentic evening in France and that’s exactly what we received. The owners of the restaurant serve you themselves. They take such pride and pour love into what they do. They also speak English really well and make you feel welcome. The entire experience from the atmosphere, setting and food was amazing. A must visit
