    The car itself was fine, the support service terrible. Nobody available when we dropped the car off, and then we get a note that there is a new "3 mm scratch on the bumper" ??? On a car with a full page of pre-existing conditions, that has over 40,000 km on it ??? What a joke. I paid for their insurance coverage, so this won't cost me anything, but it's a scam, pure and simple. Will never rent from them again. Just comes across as shady business practice...

    LIARS. NEVER trust these people. They told us they did not note down any damage on the vehicle when returned it - literally entirely untouched since we picked it up - and we signed the document happily. Little did we know they had written down that we scratched it and had hidden this information from us on the document we signed. 2 weeks later we receive a bill for €305 for repairs with a pdf attached showing that we signed a document acknowledging we damaged the vehicle. THEY LIED TO OUR FACE. DISGRACEFUL.

    This is really the worst car rental ever. I picked up (29th of May) and dropped the car (2nd of June) in marseille airport, All clean no problems and they sent me an invoice for 10 days instead of 4 for drop off at Geneva airport instead !!! I sent them several emails and phoned them and they just won’t sort it, taking so long. Their excuse is that they have a problem in the system and many customers like me are suffering. They charged me so much money and haven’t received my refund yet. Never again !!!!

    On the day I made my reservation, one employee told me not to buy extra insurance online as I would get a better deal when I picked up the car. On the day I picked up the car, I was told by another employee the extra insurance was almost twice the online price.

    Book in advance to get the best price, but monitor your bank statement very closely. They have previously delayed giving me the keys to the car until I sign up to their additional insurance. This year they tried to Bill me for 3 additional days rental even though they had inspected and signed for the car when I returned it on the correct date.

    I rarely write reviews. Hind, who supported our arrival made the difference. Our train arrived at 22.00 in Marseille so kept the office open until we arrived. She was kind, accommodating, and super helpful. Customer service & people is what you remember for life, not the car itself or the price. We rent from many companies, in multiple location, but I think we are SIXT fans now and forever thanks to Hind. Keep up the great work. Highly recommend

    I have not had a good experience at Sixt. I picked up the vehicle from Sixt at St Charles and the seller, named Tarik, tried very aggressively to sell me insurance that I did not wish to take and thankfully, I did not end up taking it since I know now it is a tactic from the employees to make you spend more money. In addition, the vehicle provided was not the one I had booked. The booking at Sixt is unfortunately, a scam. Why must I pay for an upgrade when it is the agency's fault for not having the vehicle I have booked? I do not recommend sixt for anyone.

    Very bad experience. First of all, the operator, when picking up the vehicle, proposed a higher insurance than the basic one, without mentioning the latter to us. She intended to have us rent a more expensive vehicle by telling us about the automatic transmission as an advantage, while lying to us about the vehicle then rented, which was less expensive and instead had an automatic transmission and not a manual. The operator proposed to us that they would fill up the car with Sixt once we returned it, then to charge us a lot more. They did not return the approximately 200 euros already charged to me for deposit, solely because I picked up the car too late. Also, I damaged the car but only scratches, albeit considerable, and no dents. I was charged about 1,200 euros for this.

    I was told that my reservation was all taken care of by the company i work for so the registration process was very very smooth. However, i found out after receiving the rental agreement by email a couple of hours later that there were costs that were not mentioned. At no point did they mentioned that they have voluntarily added options which shall come at a cost. After having called the customer service, the lady said that i need to bring back the car and make another reservation but warned me that there is no guarantee at all that i will get any vehicle should i opt to do so. I expected at least that should i returned the car after a few hours, they would render a car without these extras. One should be extremely cautious on undeclared costs with this branch of Sixt since the onus is on you to ensure that their version of the truth is actually true. I cannot think of more of a dishonest practice then to slip in extras under the guise of amicability.

    I’m impressed !!! I do rent cars on a regular basis every week and I have never had such an amazing service with Matheu who dealt with me. He was polite, super quick and could even sort out changing the drop of location which his colleagues on the phone weren’t able to. He advised me about the air strike in France and was such a pleasing that day. Thanks for making my life easier!!! I can highly recommend !

    Excellent service and not much more we can ask for. We had a punctured tire during our trip and was stressed being stuck on unfamiliar roads not being able to speak French. The roadside assistance managed to pick up the car and then arrange a paid-for taxi to take us back to the city we were staying at. Was just relived in the end to make it back on time and everything was sorted in the end, and with no additional hidden charge. Definitely get the full insurance package if you don't feel 100% comfortable driving in a foreign land; it's worth it and you get actual help. Thank you Sixt Marsielle!

    Great staff, terrible company. The woman at the desk was very good and helpful in an extremely difficult situation when our rental car was vandalized. She was very kind and she went to considerable lengths to help us. Five stars for her. Unfortunately, the telephone assistance for SIXT is unhelpful and incompetent in any emergency or situation where you may require assistance. Caveat emptor.

    Hello, I forgot my jacket in the car and called 2 hours later when I realized about it. I also put an official claim via website, but nobody has contacted me yet, 5 days later. This is not acceptable management from SIXT side!!

    We had a very good experience with Hinda while renting the car. We have been given an upgrade as the car we were supposed to pick up was not available. She made sure that we got the car that fit our holiday purpose, therefore, proposing multiple options available. She was very nice in explaining the kind of insurances we need in and around Marseille and at any moment in time we did not felt that she was trying to convince us to just buy more insurance coverage. Definitely, a great experience!

    The greatest car renatal experience I’ve ever had. For the first time I decided to leave so called budget rental cars companies, which was such a good decision. Perfect and very smooth service, no doubts about the car condition when returing the vehicles. I get the car in less than 10 minutes, while return it even faster. Perfect user experience in their mobile app, which solved all my needs.

    Simply put, poor service. They emailed me a day before to confirm my booking. Arrived to be told the car I reserved wasn't available. Gave me a bigger car that was dirty, inside and out. The car handles terribly and had to get it swapped out. Ended up paying double the price than expected and the customer service to help my complaint afterwards was absolutely useless. Felt really screwed this time.

    I had a bad experience with this agency. The frontman tried to sell me an upgrade 2 times and was a bit annoying. The first time he tried to sell me a better car and I thought "ok, he is a salesman, so I will gently refuse", and 2 minutes later he offered another upgrade for more money. That was completely inappropriate. After I paid, i was told to go and get my car in the garage. I didn't find any Sixt employee afterwards to assist me. When I found my car, no one was there to revise the status of the car before my trip (you need to manually sign a contract stating in what conditions you found the car). Instead, Sixt sent me an email with the contract, saying that I already revised the car! Incredible. Very bad experience. I left the agency with a bad experience, and I a few weeks before I rented a car at Toulouse Carnot agency and the experience was excellent (highly recommended). So it was a bit bitter sweat my experience at Marsella. Surely Sixt will answer my review offering me to drop my concern somewhere in Sixt's support center. Anyway, hope my experience helps others.

    Although the agent's service was great, the car condition was not great. The cleaners did not care about the interior glass, as a dirty rag was used to wipe down the inner windshield glass making it next to impossible to see out, especially when looking into the sun. This indicates poor training and poor work ethic!

    Rented for 3 days from Canada. Lorraine was very helpful and made our trip great. We drive a Grand Cherokee back in Canada so it was a pleasant surprise when she accommodated us with a Jeep Compass! Thanks again!

    best priced place we could find in Marseille, but 1.be aware of the overselling of insurance (told some lies about what we needed to oversell) 2. 15E + fuel charge if you don't bring car back fully fuelled. We couldn't find an open petrol station on Sunday AM :-( You have "3 litres free" - anything over is chargeable @ 3E per litre + 15E

    Rented a car via Expedia app. The place is next to the train station and metro, easy to find. Staff was really helpful and nice, car was great. Return was pretty easy and we had no issues.

    Rented a car from this location and requested to return to a different location. When I checked the email contract I noticed it listed returning to the same location. When I called to update the mistake, I was told it would be an additional 143 euros. The initial employee did not mention this.

    Good morning. My experience has not been good for 2 main reasons: 1-) Until today, 07/14 at 8:43 am, the recourse that was blocked on my debit card, was not returned. 2-) They didn't charge 40.00 euros, saying that there were damages in the car, but there were already these damages, including those described above. I can't call and have a complete service, because the connection is always very bad or the connection drops. I'm feeling aggrieved and unable to have my demands met, because I can't get in touch. In addition to not indicating you, I will tell anyone who asks me about all the problems I encountered and the lack of solutions. I am available: 55 11 9.8914-7945
