My wife and I had an excellent lunch in this quirky and fun little restaurant in Toulouse. A fantastically presented set of courses with some deep flavors, though a little more contrast in those flavors would really help lift the dishes. The firm favourite was the surprise de bœf grillée!

Our 2nd visit and we were as impressed as the last time. Service is excellent. Food is exquisite and inventive. Everything works brilliantly. Very highly recommended.

We had a great evening here. The 4 course degustation menu was fantastic, including some helpful substitutions for a vegetarian in the party, the wine suggestions were great and the staff were very friendly and very efficient. We will definitely return next time we are in Toulouse.

We had the four course tasting menu for dinner. Food was delicious and the meals were prepared with great care and creativity. Almost every course bore an element of surprise 🙃 Adding to that the staff was very warmhearted and always up for a joke or nice remarks. We really liked it and would come back an time! ~~~~~~~~~~~~ How I rate: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ = Awesome! You need to try it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ = Very good. Not outstanding. I’d come back any time. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ = Good. Nothing special. ⭐️⭐️ = Slightly disappointing. But still okay. ⭐️ = Don’t go. Save your money!

This is my go to restaurant for exciting food whenever I am in Toulouse. The menu is seasonal and the chef takes inspiration from different regions in France, Middle East and Asia. The dishes are always beautiful presented and full of fine surprises in the flavour combination. This time I had the foe grais ravioli with crispy ham and cheese foam for starters which was absolutely delicious. For main, I had the seared swordfish with different cucumber preparations and octopus foam. The fish is beautifully cooked while the overall flavour is very delicate and subtle. The blueberry gel was a fun burst of sweetness and acid with the fish. I like the contrast between the starter and main. Highly recommended. 3 course dinner (including a free course of amuse bouche) ranges from 38 to 45 euros. The lunch menu is similar but at a much lower price if you like to save some money. Get a reservation for dinner as the bistro can get busy. Definitely give the bistro a go.

Not to be missed. Refined tasty dishes at low prices. The restaurant does not look like a place where you would expect fine dining, but that is part of the experience. Local products, well prepared, good size portions, super friendly staff!

The food was very delicious and the presentation was on point. Pretty much what you see in pics. I’d recommend to make a reservation before going in. We got a soft boiled egg infused with smoked cheddar and a foie gras ravioli for our starter (both are a part of a prix fixe menu). For the mains, we got swordfish and pork (this one was served with some potato and garnished with fresh tomatoes and figs). Everything was delicious. The favorites of the evening for me personally were the foie gras ravioli and the pork. The garnish on the fish had some spice that I personally didn’t like but nevertheless the dish was nicely cooked and presented. The desserts were yummy too. We opted for a floating island (some sweet and crunchy meringue with some mousse/soufflé graciously floating in sour lime sauce) and a “snickers” adapted to the restaurant’s interpretation.

It was innovative, delicious and celebration of seasonal produce and with equally innovative, tasty options for vegetarians as well and not just a plate of vegetables or risotto like in many French restaurants. And above all, it was affordable - budget friendly too! They accommodated our dogs too and we sat outside and enjoyed the meal

Our friend recommended this place and we had a fantastic experience. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is exquisite with beautiful presentation. It is full of flavour and texture, which is worth every penny. The same food will cost triple in London. I highly recommend this place.

My husband and I had a wonderful meal at Les Sales Gosses. The food was beautiful as it was delicious. The service was outstanding. We wish there was a local restaurant like this with elevated food and service in a casual atmosphere at home. I guess that means we’ll be visiting Toulouse again soon!

We booked a table for three for dinner here. We had a bit of initial friction because one person in our party couldn't make it due to a personal emergency. I do understand though, since the restaurant was pretty small and needed to fully utilize the tables they had available. The rest of the dinner was wonderful. The two amuse bouches of candy coated tomato and artichoke creme were delightful. For the appetizer, we got the ravioli with foie gras filling and the soft-boiled egg in a veggie nest surrounded by a smoked cheddar emulsion. The standout was definitely the foie gras ravioli, very flavorful and paired well with the sauce! For our mains, we got the swordfish and the pork. I wasn't a big fan of the swordfish, as it was on the bland side for me and I would have preferred the slight bitterness of the swordfish to be balanced a bit better with a touch of sweetness. The pork, though, was great! The savory flavor of the meat mixed very well with the accompanying juicy tomatoes and figs. The "Snickers" dessert was artistically presented (as were all the dishes) and a great one for chocolate lovers.

We were fortunate to get a reservation for the last table inside and was pleasantly greeted by the host who thankfully spoke perfect English. She was so helpful in explaining the dining options, along with drink choices. We decided to go with the tasting menu. While we were not overly hungry, we found the portions more than enough. The presentation was just marvelous on all dishes served and a delight to look at. Given I’m not an expert on French culinary standards, take my constructive criticism with a grain a salt. I found most of the dishes good, but certainly not great. For example, the steak served was quite tough to cut through, but flavorful. Most of the dishes were not as warm as I would expect. Seems as the kitchen is quite small and maybe the staff is serving all the dishes at once, causing a less than enjoyable temperature. The only thing that was quite hot was the restaurant. My goodness, it seems all of Europe just does not keep their indoor spaces a bit cool at all and hard to enjoy a meal when you are sweating. The best of all the dishes was the dessert and found it just fantastic! We opted for both options. Prices are very reasonable for what you get. Looking forward to coming here again in the spring, when more fresh vegetables will be part of the revolving menu and a cooler time of the year.

Listen: one of the best value for money restaurant. Chef has been trained and working with Michelin chefs, cuisine is very good. The place reflects the title: childhood. Seriously, just go stop reading

This is a must-visit if you ever travel to Toulouse. The menu changes frequently so no two visits are ever the same. This little corner bistro was easily the culinary highlight of my visit to France. Every morsel tasted like heaven. Yes! Reservations strongly recommended.

Very poor service experience. When I walked into the store, the waitress just came out of the store. Because I can't understand French and the situation was chaotic, from her body language, I thought she wanted me to go in first, and then she came out. After I got back to my seat, I didn't expect my misunderstanding will anger her, she ran to our seat and asked me to apologize to her, more unbelievable she touched my glasses and face with provocative attitude…... Other than that, when ordering, she treated us with contempt because I didn't order drink, but we had already ordered water that need charged. I can't believe that I paid more than 30 Euros for such an experience, the food is good but the waitresses are not well educated for sure

We loved our meal and the atmosphere at des Sales Gosses. While we did not love the experimental melon dessert we were glad to have tried it :) so worth the trip!

Stellar presentation, amazing staff, and outstanding chef. This restaurant is fancy in a way that does not feel pompous, and it leaves you sufficiently full. A must try.

Very good French food with a nice decoration in the main room. Price is faire for the quality of this restaurant. Also, food presentation would give this chef some Michelin stars. Highly recommended!

👍👍 This restaurant is wven better than what our acquaintances had told us. The waiting queue lasted for about 30 minutes. I would really recommend to go there at 9PM (21:00h). At that time the first shift of people have finished their dinners and you will not have to wait any time whatsoever. The meat...
