We have been pretty lucky this day that the forecast for Northern Lights activity was good and we had even clear skies for the majority of time at this evening. Although I expected to see them better by my own eyes (it just looks like a weak fog) the photos look very satisfying for me :) Our tour guide George and the driver Michael (nice Name combination although they have not sang :D) did their most to make this an interesting and successful evening! They told us some nice stories to bridge over the car ride and looked for a nice spot for the Northern Lights. Afterwards we proceeded further and they prepared a place for a campfire where we got very useful overalls, had some food, sat down and enjoyed the surrounding. Afterwards they brought us home and we had a really nice and long evening.

Had the best experience. Max is really passionate about his work and is really great at teaching you about the aurora's. We had the best experience at seeing the aurora straight off the bat. Max took us to a beautifull frozen lake between the mountains. Here we had an open sky to enjoy the show. And with some assistance from max adjusting our camera's for the best pictures we were all setup for a great evening. After the auroras showed us beautifull an collorful sights we put up a fire to enjoy some delicious raindeer sausages. After the good meal and the auroras we were brought back to our hotel. To sum everything up the best experience we could have had.

We had a fantastic trip with guide Harry and driver marcin. Harry was very knowledgeable and informative, passionate and ensure we had the best chance of seeing the northern lights. Marcin was a great driver and ensured we stayed warm and well fed. The northern lights were fantastic and I would book with Northern Horizon again

We had an enjoyable day tour with Michael for Arctic Nature Trip. It was a great experience of moments changes of weather during the trip. He is knowledgeable & passionate showing us the best spots for breathtaking views. Nice photo shooting skills too. It was a pleasant and great day :) Thank you Michael!

We cannot give enough praise to Michael our guide on this fabulous trip. He loved the area and it showed with his endless enthusiasm, great humour , and it made our day unforgettable. The sites he took us to were fabulous, spectacular, and there aren't enough words to describe the wonderful scenery. Lunch was great at the side of a fjord, sitting chatting to people from around the world. The photographs Michael sent to us were out of this world. This trip was excellent value for money and would recommend it to anyone who wants to see the real Arctic Circle, so please don't miss it. Thanks Michael.

We had some perfect experience with them we was 10 people in a group, Harry was our guide, with a lot of experience, on the beginning was kinda bad weather and a small hope but he just stopped with us in a spot that he knew it would be nice and some time later the big show started, everyone got impressed all the night along (also Harry!), he made also a very good fireplace, told historys about local fairy tales and talked about a lot of things. He also takes a lot of perfect pictures and helped us to configurate our camera and take our own pictures also, anyway was a perfect experience, i really recommend them, thank you for the night and I am so sorry for the accident with the camera Harry…

Our family of 5 went on a Northern Lights chase last night with Harry as our guide and Patrick as our driver. It was the best experience and we absolutely recommend them. Harry did an incredible job of teaching us about the science of the aurora, finding a place to view the beautiful sky, and taking the most beautiful photos. Patrick drove us safely and comfortably and did a wonderful job taking care of all that we needed—he and Harry helped us with suits and boots, campfire and chairs, and hot drinks and snacks! A thousand thanks to both of them! :)

Artic Nature Tour is the perfect way to explore Tromso's surroundings. The Winter landscape is more interesting around the fjords and Michael knew how to make the best of it. Incredible picinic at a snow-covered beach. He prepared everything in a moment! He knew the best places to stop and also recommended us some Sami music. Really outstanding!!

What an incredible evening! Our tour guide Harry was so lovely and so knowledgable. He was extremely calm, patient and honest throughout the entire night and helped us to see what ended up being a spectacular show of the Northern Lights! Right from the get go, Harry said we could be in for a late night based on his experience and forecasts. Well, he was right, we did have to be patient. Early on in the evening we’d seen only minor appearances of the lights and had spent a good amount of time around the campfire enjoying some refreshments and learning about everything from the science, myths and legends behind the lights which was great fun in itself. Towards what I originally thought would be the end of the tour, Harry said that if we could all wait and be patient a little longer, he was sure that the forecasts were looking a lot more optimistic. He was right! Very late on, we all saw a spectacular display! It was honestly phenomenal. Of course, you can’t control nature but what was so amazing was having a tour guide that very clearly knew what he was doing and furthermore did a great job of keeping everyone feeling happy and optimistic throughout, I can imagine it could be quite a challenge! Truly one of the best experiences of our lives and we’re so grateful for the evening we had. I’d highly recommend this tour and Harry. His knowledge and kindness made for a once in a lifetime experience! Thank you so much. One of the best tours I've been on in Tromso. Joanna took us out on the Arctic wildlife tour. We stopped in some mesmerising locations, and then had some lunch next to one of the fjords. The combination of seeing the wonderful sights, combined with Joanna's enthusiasm and friendliness, made it an unforgettable experience. Will definitely book again next time I'm in Tromso.

We went on the Arctic Nature / Fjord Tour with Joanna on a very rainy day, and it was the highlight of our trip (we also did three other tours that were fantastic, so the bar was very high!). The weather was pretty miserable and many of the fjords were socked in by fog or clouds, but Joanna still managed to shuttle us around from breathtaking viewpoint to breathtaking viewpoint at just the right time for a brief break in the clouds so we could take in some of the incredible scenery Tromsø and the surrounding area has to offer. She was happy and enthusiastic about sharing her knowledge of northern Norway, always encouraged us to stand in the perfect spot so she could take a photo of us, and was all around an excellent guide who clearly loves what she does. Our tour lasted about five and a half hours, and it flew by. Joanna sent us a beautiful batch of photos a couple hours after the tour ended. An added bonus, Northern Horizon made me a gluten free sandwich for the lunch they provided, which was icing on top of an already fantastic cake. We would go on any and all of the tours they offer, especially if they were lead by Joanna. Wish I could give them six stars.

Amazing experience! Anthony and Martin brought us in the best spot where to get amused by the light! Even tho is a natural and unpredictable event (and we were lucky to see them), the guys were very competent and prepared to change route in case of forecast changes. What i liked the most was the nice bounding about being a small group. Bonfire with drink and sausages in the middle of nowhere were we had the luck to see the lights dancing above us was top. Anthony as well took amazing pictures for us. Highly recommend!

Can't recommend this tour enough!!! Michael was an amazing, kind, informative guide. I felt he took us to a variety of locations without spending too much driving in between each. He brought several hot drinks and pastries for the group which we enjoyed on the most beautiful beach. He was enthusiastic and knowledgable about the landscape and Norway which I enjoyed hearing about. I was looking for a tour that would really show me the arctic landscape and this more than delivered! He even made a stop for the restroom and took photos of anyone who wanted one at each location. Bonus was when he spotted a reindeer and we were able to get out of the car and take a better look. Highly recommend!

We had the chance to participate in one of the tours with a small group of 15 people in the beginning of January 2023. The trip was very well organized, following the expectations and the information provided in the description. From the first moment, Max (guide) and Michael (driver) explained how the trip would be and did their best for us to have a great experience. After 1.5 hrs of driving in a remote area of a frozen lake, we had a campfire with drinks and hot dogs, thermal suits to withstand the cold, and exciting info about the aurora and generally the culture in Norway. Of course, the goal of such a tour is to capture aurora, but the beauty of it is that you cannot control it, and nothing is guaranteed. You need to be patient and positive and enjoy the entire experience. For the first hours, the aurora was quite shy, but at the end, we had an unforgettable spectacular show, with the aurora dancing on top of our heads in a clear sky with an almost full moon. Our guide Max was just perfect ! The weather was cloudy, he was very efficient and persistent to find stars. We went close to the Finnish border and he found very beautiful northern lights ! And food and hot drinks were good. Merci beaucoup !

The most incredible experience!!!! We were lucky enough to see a spectacular light show in a beautiful and secluded location, and our tour guide Harry made the experience unforgettable with amazing photos, stories, and scientific explanations. The food and hot drinks around the campfire were delicious and made waiting for the lights very enjoyable!

This tour was by far not only one of the best tours in Tromso and Norway but one of the best I have been on ever. Harry was extremely engaging about the northern lights and gave us insight on what they are and how they are formed. He talked through different aspects on how they are formed and the different colours. The driver for the day was very friendly and in high spirits and made us feel welcome and included. Harry took Amazing photos of the northern lights (yes we saw them thanks to Harry knowing the right spot). He took portrait photos of me and my wife on our anniversary and this will forever be remembered . You should always try to book this your for northern lights as it is the best !! Michael was a great guide! He had plenty of stories and information on the culture and surrounds. He always kept us informed of the tour plans and made sure we were comfortable and happy. He even had snow shoes and thermal suits (which was not listed on the activity) for us to use if we needed. The pictures sent at the end were great and to top it off he dropped us all off at our desired locations at the end. Would highly recommend Michael and the Northern Horizons team!

Whole experience was fantastic! Harry was very informative and knowledgeable. The photos we took on the I phone are great. Thank you Harry for showing me how to use my own phone; you were very patient! We loved the campfire and reindeer sausages. Driver Patrick did an excellent and safe job. Harry and our driver could not have made this a better experience for us from start to finish. From making us feel welcomed and relaxed, explaining the chase as we went along and our plans, to making sure we were comfortable and had the best chance possible to see the lights. A superb tour of the fjords and nature of Norway. Michael was our tour guide and his passion for Norway 🇳🇴 was infectious. We were given plenty of time to drink in the wonderful Norwegian scenery with numerous stop offs to take pictures. He had brought plenty of hot drinks and snacks and our group of 8 sat on the beach for lunch. We were picked up promptly at 10am and returned at 3pm. It was a really fun and uplifting day out and this was due to Michael’s extensive knowledge of the area and his positivity. I would highly recommend it.

Highly recommended aurora hunting tour! Harry is such a passionate, engaged and dedicated guide! And wonderful photographer! Amazing experience and such a special atmosphere while aurora hunting ☺️ And then another day trip with Michael! Such a nice route with awesome views! He was very attentive during the trip, taking many cool pics! Liked it a lot!

Harry and Andre (our guides) really did everything for us to see the Aurora even though there was nothing but clouds and bad conditions. Eventually Harry managed to find an opening in the clouds and 30min later we had our little light-show. He also taught us how to look for it ourselves (the solar and bz values etc..) and yesterday we went on our own hunt and we saw another really spectacular light show! Really nice people and organisation!
