Beautiful view of the Kvaløya island across the ocean. It gets really windy there so couldn't stay long enough in sub zero temperature. Otherwise would be a nice place to take in the view and relax for a while in better weather conditions.

Best spot for searching for Northlight in Tromso main Island. Easy to get here by public bus.

Nice place to enjoy nice day with family or friends. Tables for picnic, toilet, beach, playground, volleyball field, parking area, bus stop nearby. Clean - clear - cold water.

Lovely place, just be careful in winter because there are no street lamps. Great for sky watching.

Calm, serene and majestic This southern part of tromso Island is quite something where one can get lost within yourself and still soak the nature to the fullest, may it be summer or or a sunny winter month

Great place to look for the northern lights, a few minutes away from the center by bus, it was a bit windy and the conditions were not optimal but we still saw the aurora 🤗

Beautiful views of the late autumn sun just behind the mountains. Ocean is peaceful. Lots of seabirds.

A wonderfull area in Tromsø, also home to the Friluftsmuseet, the hidden gem open-air museum established in 1952, consisting of 13 old houses from Tromsø and the surrounding district. A lovely walk to Tromsø's lovely little beach, Telegrafbukta, is definitely worth it.

It is such a beautiful place to come and visit. During my stay in February, I came here during the day as well as the evening to hopefully catch a glimpse of the northern lights. It is a wonderful and relaxing place to go to, even just to look out at the breathtaking views or to wander along the coastal path. Surprisingly, it wasn't busy at all when I went there during the day, just one local was sat relaxing on the snowy beach. In the evening, make sure you wrap up warm as the wind is bitterly cold and very strong depending on where you stand. I was very lucky to see the northern lights down there and they appeared about 21:30.

On the southern peak of Tromsøya, "Sydspissen", is this park on the beach... it is like a open area for all poeple, they come there to play with their children or make barbecue and a group of poeple come every friday to take a bath in the sea. I saw this and talked to them, is it not cold? but they told me, yes it's fresh and the feeling coming out of the water is great, why do you not try? And so i took a bath in the sea, water 4°C, air 5°C... It was very fresh and really cold, but the feeling, when I was in my clothes, I was like high and all over my body was a tickling feeling present, the poeple there gave me applouse for my brave action :-)

Majestic place to visit and have a snack or picnic and stare at the water. Wonderful and mesmerising view. Definitely recommend for families or alone people looking to spend some quite, relaxing and meditating time. The parking is also for free even though on the rest of the city is paid.
