I did not expect this place to be so amazing because itโ€™s in the middle of the city! They have tons of trails and they were pretty easy to navigate, well maintained so you can easily spend a whole day here. There are picnic tables out in front and some places to set up inside the park as well. I loved the loops and the hikes. They were unique despite being in the middle of an urban area. Must try the loop around the dam. 5/5 recommend. It also has a biking trail but we didnโ€™t go on it.

Lovely park with waterfalls, hiking trails, a playground for kids, and lots of greenery. Short walk to the waterfalls that is mostly accessible, just near the end there are a few tree roots that make it a bit more challenging for pushing a stroller. Waterfalls are pretty nice, not the biggest in the world but fun to see. The kids playground has a lot of nice swings including an adult and child swing so you can swing together with your kiddo. Lots of parking here, bathrooms, and spots to picnic.

If you pass by Truro, stop here, you won't regret. It has everything, falls, stairs, alot of them, trails, bridges. Very pretty and charming. Be prepared for the stairs, some of them are very steep. Washrooms, a lot of parkings, well kept, free. The best of Truro. Must beautiful as hell in the fall.

This is one of the greatest parks in the area and (in our opinion) the province - it just has so many amazing features like: hills, lookouts, staircases, gazebos, waterfalls, gorges, creeks and rivers, numerous trails, picnic areas, exercise area, and sports/play fields! Definitely worth visiting multiple times just due to the amount of various activities possible.

Truly a beautiful park, all the boardwalks everywhere remind me of vancouver island. There is a ton of awesome trails to hike, multiple waterfalls and several neat bridges to cross! We come here with our dog all the time and have had no issues with anyone. Parking is never a problem either. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Lovely park with no entry fee. You can get to the falls if you walk all the way to the end and avoid the stairs. The water looks pristine. Near the falls, you can actually go for a swim if you'd like. They just advise against diving or jumping. Note that the stairs are a single beam of wood. These are very thin stairs. Take your time going up and down. There are plenty of benches located throughout the park, so don't worry about needing to find a spot to catch your breath or to eat a snack.

Nice spot for a picnic or a walk through the trails. Good biking trails also. You can see some beautiful waterfalls and streams throughout the park. The picnic pavilion is neat for groups also. Convenient bathrooms and a newly renovated pool!

Excellent place for one day family trip. My kid enjoyed being there. I would say day spent well. Ample parking, maintained well. Toilets can be better.

Stopped here while on a roadtrip..BEST decision! Such a sweet park with so much to keep you busy. Endless walking/biking trails, waterfalls, picnic spots, & if youโ€™re looking for a little workout they even have โ€œJacobโ€™s ladderโ€ (178 wooden steps) with some pull up bars at the top.

This is one of the most beautiful places to go to in Nova Scotia I felt serene peace visiting here for the first time I am someone who loves walking in the nature and thus place was perfect for me to read a boom, listen to soothing music, to meditate, to just get lost in the wilderness of nature I took so many pictures to remember this place I canโ€™t recommend this enough Iโ€™ll definitely visit here again

This park is about 130 years old. Itโ€™s a beautiful well maintained urban woodland park spans across 3000 acres. It has many boardwalks. These boardwalks make waterfalls Waddell and Howe are easily accessible and provide an exciting backdrop for photos of family and friends. It has washrooms but this park is not very wheelchair friendly. Very tall pine trees and lots of squirrels and birds. It has a good parking lot and many entrances. If you are looking for some workout, you might wanna check out Jacob's ladder(147 steps) and some pull up bars at the top. All steps aren't the same size. It is open all year, but late spring and early summer would be ideal time to visit this park, as water levels would be at its highest. It is about a one and half hour drive from downtown Halifax. It's a beautiful and dynamic urban park. I love it for its natural features, including a dramatic steep-sided gorge, a winding river, cascading waterfalls, and a stately old-growth Eastern Hemlock forest. This place offers endless recreational, cultural and leisure opportunities. These include hiking, photography, birdwatching, day picnics, family gatherings, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, swimming, baseball, cultural events, live music, tennis, cycling and more. If you are in Nova Scotia, and if you are a nature lover, I highly recommend going there.

Visited in April so there was still some snow on the ground. The path to get to the falls is beautiful. There are many trails if you like hiking. This place would make for a wonderful pre wedding shoot location. Jacobโ€™s

Very well kept, be prepared for a lot of stairs if you want to explore the whole park. A lot of different trails you can explore. Cannot believe how beautiful and well kept the overall park is for the amount of people who visit. Climbing the stairs and walking along the trails up top have awesome views rather than just walking down below. Atleast two waterfalls to be seen as well.

This place is Truro's best kept secret! What a lovely park with some lovely views of waterfalls. There are so many trail options that you could spend hours here. A few of the trails were damaged earlier this year in heavy rains so they were closed off until they can repair them, but even so, it was worth the time we took to stop and explore here. They also had lots of washrooms. Some of the stairs are a bit steep but they're not too bad if you just go slow and take your time.

Love the park, i am so jealous of the people living close to the park. Lots of trails, beautiful nature, waterfalls, wooden ladder, and plenty of things to play for kids, ice cream shop and a pool.

I really wanted to come here to check out jacobs ladder and complete a trail from my app. Half the trails were closed off due to storm damage. Understandable but definitely disappointing. The ladder was very very busy- so many tourists it was almost unpleasant. Parking was free we were able to sneak in somewhere close. They had a labor day celebration with music in the park and free bbq if you wanted to partake. One thing I will say is the wash rooms are absolutely disgusting here. There was fecal matter smeared all over and garbage on the floor. Not exactly welcoming on that front.

Arguably the best, well maintained cleanest parks in Nova Scotia. Playground several walking trails, splash pad, swimming pool. Waterfalls, plenty parking, Biking and dog friendly. Something for everyone here and doesn't cost a dime

Family came to visit and we heard good reviews about Victoria Park and decided to spend the morning. This park was very beautiful and quiet with scenic trails and wildlife. Wasnโ€™t expecting to see waterfalls either! Really enjoyed the park and will be returning!

We did the loop 3.8 km it was so great and we did have to go over three rivers. Which meant remove shoes and go over bare foot it was worth it. If you take the shorter loop it'll take not as much time tp see the beautiful views

This wonderful park, which has a beautiful stream and waterfalls, is perfect for a hike. While the damage from last year's post-tropical storm Fiona is still visible (see some of the pictures below), the gorgeous greenery is still quite impressive. You can also find a children's playground, tennis courts, baseball diamond, and outdoor pool at Victoria Park.

Great park overall. Could capitalize on the recent storm destruction in September of 2022 in some way. Love the trails here, however I wish that some of the paved areas were maintained a bit better especially near the main entrance of the park.

Victoria Park is a true gem in the heart of the city. The lush green trees and beautiful waterfalls create a peaceful oasis in the midst of the hustle and bustle of daily life. I always feel rejuvenated after a visit to this park and highly recommend it to anyone in need of a little nature therapy. The walking trails are well-maintained and offer a variety of scenic routes to choose from. Overall, Victoria Park is a must-see for anyone visiting the area.

I'm new to the area and I am still in awe of how amazing this park is! Great for hiking, trail running or mountain biking. There are a variety of trails from accessible to all to challenging so there really is something for everyone. The waterfalls are beautiful!

Enjoyed the hike despite the cloudy drizzling weather. Visited Joe Howe Falls, the Waddell Falls and Wood Street Lookout. The path to Five Corners was closed today, so we didnโ€™t get to see it. If we visit Truro again next time, we will come back to the park to explore the other areas. BTW, we were lucky to come across two deers during our hiking.

What a nice find along the way. We actually had some car trouble and just stopped here to check for local service options. When I looked up, I noticed the park was gorgeous and I took a little stroll to see what was here. I was pleasantly surprised by the nice trails and beautiful scenery. Unfortunately, I had to hit the road to get my vehicle serviced, but we will definitely stop again when in the area. This is a great stop along your journeys or to stop for a picnic if you are lucky enough to live nearby.

An absolutely stunning park with walking trails, streams, waterfalls, lush trees, sitting benches, picnic tables and so much more! A great place to indulge in 'forest bathing' (i.e. forest bathing referring to absorbing the forest's atmosphere) and to take in the sounds and sights of nature.

This park turned out to be a real find on the way to Halifax. Big park where you can spend the whole day. The waterfalls were almost without water due to the dry season. But the area is very beautiful, well-groomed, with beautiful paths and stairs.

๐Ÿ˜ Cute look off. Stopped here for a picnic because of the view. Not much to do*, but would revisit in the future. *Walking trails were closed due to ongoing cleanup efforts caused by Hurricane Fiona.
