Our driver, Sasaki-san, was courteous and professional and drove safely. The food at Atsumi Onsen Mangokuya is also outstanding. I've lived in Japan for a few years now, but I knew the chef was excellent when I found myself devouring dishes I'm not usually fond of (such as crab). The entire staff was very cognizant of COVID restrictions, placing diners at adequate distances from one another. The onsen were very relaxing and spacious. The outdoor onsen on the first floor was my favorite, but all of them have their charms. Awesome Japanese ryokan experience. The interior is big enough for walking, big onsens as well. We came with a very young kid (<1yo) and enjoyed a very warm service and even a kids space. Not easy to enjoy restaurants or hotels as a family but we were very satisfied.
